Think about putting the brutal violence of Mad Max: Fury Road into the world of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy movies. That's the playground where Thanos resides. This is the definition of heavy metal. Read Full Review
This issue was a masterpiece, its everything you could ever want in a comic book especially if you are a Thanos fan. Its fan service at its finest, and it knows that and runs with it in the best ways possible. If you arent reading this comic then you are missing out on a damn fun read Read Full Review
As intense and unstoppable as its lead, this series continues to make good on the intentions it stated in issue one"because at the end of everything, Thanos wins. Read Full Review
I am running out of good things to say about this series. This creative team is pure magic and theyhave unleashed it on this Thanos series! The story is epic yet also has a down to earth feel while the art continues to be some of the best in the industry. Thanos #17 is a fantastic continuation of this story and series, which is to no surprise. Read Full Review
Thanos #17 brings one of the most impressive fights mainstream comics have seen in quite some time. The two Thanos throwing down with the Silver Surfer wielding Thors hammer is one fundamentally awesome ideas for a fight in the Marvel universe, and Cates, Shaw, and Fabela deliver on the potential of the idea. This one comes highly recommended. Give it a read, Read Full Review
Donny Cates swings for the fences with Thanos this week and hits it so far out of the park that it lands in a park three cities over with help from Geoff Shaw's amazing visuals. Read Full Review
You won't regret picking up THANOS #17. It's an exciting issue filled with action, tremendous art thanks to Geoff Shaw and Antonio Fabela, and even some truly touching emotional moments courtesy of Donny Cates. Only one more issue left, jump on now! Read Full Review
Fortunately, Thanos Wins was not just a title to the story, but a fact. Nor did the fight between the Surfer and the two Thanos' disappoint. It was gritty, gruesome and awesome. Now, what is the real payoff? What does Cates have in store for the conclusion to this bloody epic tale? Personally, I can't wait to find out. Read Full Review
This one has ten times the action and goes all out in a Thanos Berserker! Is the Silver Surfer overconfident as he wields mighty Mjolnir? Can Thanos conquer his foes or has he bitten off more than he can chew this time? It's the Thanos story you've been waiting for as Marvel's over the top intergalactic bad guy goes for the gusto. No one will be disappointed with this issue! **** (9.4 rating) Read Full Review
Young Thanos and Old Thanos versus a Mjolnir-carrying Silver Surfer. The creators know it's a fight for the ages and their passionate work fulfills all the promise of the setup. And yes, that includes the basement-dweller you almost think they forgot. This is the flawless execution of a simple idea. It's brutal and breathtaking and if you shut yourself off from it by saying it's too juvenile you've made a terrible mistake.
This is probably my favourite What If/Elseworld ever.
Donny Cates is easily one of the best writers today in comics. This series just keeps getting better, but honestly, I don't know where we go from here. This book felt like a dramatic conclusion and terrible end for the Marvel Universe. We have seen many futures in the world of Marvel but this book truly felt like the last gasp of a dead 616 and Cates is answering the question of what now? What happens after Thanos Wins and all are dead? What does he even do with Mistress Death if all others are dead? There is no Netflix or anything left. This is a great comic that has made me feel a range of emotions throughout the run and Hulks final moments and the Surfer's stand against Thanos was drawn to perfection.

Another EPIC issue from Thanos that leaves the reader speechless at the end and also excited for the next issue. I never knew the series was ending though, but this issue will be the second last. I am going to miss this comic series, the only comic that felt like the MARVEL we all know and love from the past.
This issue is violent to the max and everytime a violent act occurs, the readers will be making a weird face expression to look away from that violence, only to be brought back in by the BEAUTIFUL art that enhances the panels where the violence occur. Just a small problem, i really wish they would have streched the action between Cosmic Ghost Rider and Silver Surfer a bit longer. But who cares, I think Silver Surfer is just more
Hard to see how they top this epic issue but the duo of Cates and Shaw are delivering on every aspect and more. Too bad it will end.
Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten.
Im a DC guy. I’ve been following DC so close for the last 2.5 years reading so much. But throughout the past couple months, I’ve been catching up on my Marvel and one thing I’ve come to enjoy; it’s Thanos! I’ve read every issue and it’s just been getting better and better.
This issue is not the best issue of the run BUT it’s still great! We get a battle with the Silver Surfer that has mjolnier! Amazing! Hulk even jumps in to try to take down the Surfer, but he can’t.
The Surfer holds his own pretty well but honestly, w more
This is a pretty fucking badassed comic. The fight between the 2 Thanoses and the Mjolnir-wielding Silver Surfer is beyond epic, and fantastically drawn by Geoff Shaw. With this run, and "God Country" to their credit, Marvel have a great tandem in Gates/Shaw...let's hope they keep working together! There are surprise elements in here that reward the reader every few pages (i.e., the return from an imposing figure seen earlier in the series, the dramatic ending); with all the awesome new iterations on classic characters, this series has been an absolute blast. One issue of the awesomeness left.
Another thriller from Cates. This series is awesome. A must read.
Some of the best action in comics as of late.
