Once again Geoff Shaws art perfectly fits Cates writing and Fabelas colors just make it that much better. The perfect blend of these three guys styles is fantastic and just a all around treat for the eyes. I loved everything about this issue and have no complaints whatsoever, Donny Cates has wrote my favorite book now two weeks in a row. I cant wait to see where this story goes. Read Full Review
This is still a buy-on-sight series. Read Full Review
Thanos is a series everybody should be reading! With an epic scope and feel to it, while still maintaining a personal feel to the story, it is just a superb comic book. Geoff Shaw and Antonio Fabela are doing some absolutely stunning artwork in Thanos and making it a treat for the eyes. Do you want to know who or what the Fallen One is? Read Thanos #15. Do you want to know who the Cosmic Ghost Rider is? Read Thanos #15. Really, if you just want to read a great comic book go back and pick up Thanos #13 and #14, then pick up Thanos #15 and bask in the Mad Titan's greatness! Read Full Review
When it comes to villains and what makes them great, Cates understands there has to be more than power and ambition. There has to be reasons and standards. While Thanos has always been a great villain, Cates is bringing out more to him and I can't wait to see what's in store. And while the writing is solid and the art is amazing. It's still an issue of talking and none of the revelations, even Frank Castle as the Ghost Rider, is enough to make this book a "10." Still, the intrigue and good storytelling is apparent and that's what makes Thanos a great read. Read Full Review
Thanos is continuing to be a must read title with issue #15 setting things up nicely for the huge battle ahead! Donny Cates is proving one of Marvel's best writers at the moment, what with his phenomenal runs on both Thanos and Doctor Strange exploring some of the publisher's best villains. I absolutely loved the reveals in this issue and can't wait to see how things are going to play out. Also, please can we have more cosmic Ghost Rider?! Read Full Review
This story keeps getting bigger and better. They're clearly not taking their foot off the gas pedal and delivering the most metal story in comics. Read Full Review
With a final page reveal that will delight Annihilation fans, this is a comic that will be equally appreciated by series fans and newcomers alike. Read Full Review
"Thanos" #15 has a wicked sense of humor and a bleak outlook on the villain who almost won. Read this book. Read Full Review
One of the things that's really admirable about this Thanos series is that neither Donny Cates nor Jeff Lemire before him have tried to soften the Mad Titan. He's the main character, but still completely unrepentant about everything that he's done and continues to do. Read Full Review
OHHHHHHH MYYYYYY GODDDDD!!!! The last few pages of this book took my freaking breath away!!!! Oh My God!!!! What a reveal!! God Damn it! Ok need to cool down a bit. Sorry......just fresh from reading Thanos #15.
Ok lets start from the basics.
The colouring in this book is soooo goood u will drool when u even see Thanos' face. Its soooo beautiful. Great work from Antonio Fabela! Feel so happy when someone like Geoff Shaw understands how an art of a character and the cosmic environment should look like.
Second of all. As always, great writing from Donny Cates! He did a great job in differentiating both the old and young Thanos and not make them sound familiar. I am also starting to like the Cosmic Ghost Rider, more
OH MY GOD! This story is amazing! In my opinion, it's the best of the series so far! We learn a bit more about the Marvel Universe leading up to Thanos' rule, we have some interesting fucking reveals, and the plot thickens! This story just gets better and better! 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Cates and Shaw have again knocked this issue out of the park! What a issue and I had my thoughts on who the "Cosmic Ghost Rider" was I didn't expect it. At the same time with no spoiling it made perfect sense. Donny Cates is killin it from Atomohawk to Doctor Strange it doesn't matter the material Donny Cates is a great writer.
Damn! This run is spectacular! I really like how it plays with Marvel mythology. Yes, it's a reimagining of "Future Imperfect", but a bloody good one!
I'm currently reading two series from Marvel, three from DC, and one from Boom - including two books written by two of my all-time favorite writers. I realized today, to my surprise, that I think Thanos is the best title I'm reading. It's entertaining, but more than that it's interesting. I'm not sure I've ever read a story with Thanos in it before (I know, I know), but the Infinity War trailer got me excited, I heard good things about Cates and Shaw, so here I am, and I'm loving it. It reminds me of the King Thor stuff from The God Butcher, the way it plays with the wider Marvel mythology, What If? style. The reveals are fun, the character dynamics are fun - it's just an overall fun book. Check it out.
Complete package here folks. Storytelling and great art. You're not gonna find a better book this week.
Old Man Thanos explains he's brought his younger self to backstop him in one last titanic fight that will finally win Death's attention, you betcha. Donny Cates's script reserves the first peek at the adversary for the final page, so prior to that, we get some entertaining but rather filler-y content. The Hulk's introduction is transparently the loading of a Chekov's Gun. The revelation of the Cosmic Ghost Rider's identity is generally impressive, but I wonder why it falls here in the story. Old Man Thanos snidely, insightfully dismissing his younger self's pretense of getting over Death is the high point of the issue for me. The visuals from Geoff Shaw and Antonio Fabela are also tremendous. The amount of smugness and cruelty they put intomore
While the identity of the Ghost Rider left me a little weary, I enjoyed this book a lot. It continues to be awesome and usually has some really good art.
Even though this is a slightly down issue, this arc continues to be awesome. The revelation of the Cosmic Ghost Rider's identity doesn't really work for me, despite the explanation given. The conversation between Thanos the King and current Thanos is interesting, and leads to an amazingly cool final page, in which one of my favourite characters appears looking totally awesome and badassed. Good stuff.
