I can't remember the last time I was excited by a summer event, but Waid and Mora do the trick. The art is, as always, uncanny. Mora might be the best artist of his generation. Waid is a comic book legend and need no praise. I understand that you need some suspension of disbelief to accept that Waller could defeat the justice league with little opposition but I think Waid (and Tom Taylor) prepared the build up to the event really well.

The best of the first batch of absolute comics. The new take on krypton is fresh and intriguing. The art is superb. I can't wait to learn more about the sol armor and the lazarous corps.

Continues to amaze

While AWW is objectively the best absolute series, AS is my favorite. Last issue was a banger and the current one is maybe the bast in the series. I feel like Aaron is finally focusing on Clark now and we are having a better understanding of the character. While I like ferreyra art a lot, Rafa work is deeply missed. Very excited for Supes vs absolute hawkman.

I still think that Absolute Superman is the best of the bunch. The new issue is engaging. I like the approach Superman-book-with-little-superman-on-it for now. The art is still excellent.

Continues to impress! Thompson is flawless here: the plot and characterization are on point. The art is astounding. People talk a lot about Mora (rightfully so) but Sherman is incredible as well. I love his work in dark patterns but WW Iis where he truly shines. The tease in the end is fantastic.

Breathtaking art and gripping script. Highly recommend.

Maybe the bes issue yet. The story is amazing. Johns is at his best here.

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #4 is Absolutely bananas and i mean that in the best way possible.

It's a shame that the power fantasy is not topping the charts and selling out. It's is one of the most intriguing and smart comics on stands right now. It's the best X-men story of the last five years and nobody is reading it. If you like superhero comics, you should check it.

Nice plot. I think the DARK KNIGHTS OF STEEL is one of the funnest elseworld in recent history. The art is incredible.

Near flawless

This run is consistently amazing: excellent art, great characterization, intriguing plot: it has everything. Highly recommended.

AB is my least favorite absolute comic so far. Even so, Dragotta's art alone would be enough to justify the purchase. Snyder's script is intriguing but I not sold on black mask. Absolute Alfred is good but I don't love his dynamic with AB. That being said, I am nitpicking, the comic is excellent and highly recommended

Man, Jorge is A BEAST! The art in the issue is just exquisite! The story was good, I think fraction handles the characterization well. The only downside? It fells short.

I would read a Jorge Jimenez book even if it was written by rob liefeld. Jorge art is unbelievable Kinect and his use of colors is masterful. Thankfully, fraction script is enjoyable. It felt like a fun early 2000 book and I enjoyed his use of Bruce Wayne. I fell like, for the past fifteen years or so, people forgot Bruce and simply focus on Batman. Loved the cliffhanger. IMO, this series keeps getting better.

Excellent first issue. The new villain sounds intriguing. The pacing is excellent. There isn't a lot I can say about the art because Janin is a master, and everybody already knows it. I am not sold on the plot twist... but I have confidence Taylor will stick the landing

Jones' art is amazing, as usual. The story felt a bit rushed but interesting nevertheless. Yara seems like her own fun character, distinguished Enough from Diana.

There is a line in a single panel of this issue that perfectly encapsulates Superman: Lois says that she was devastated when Superman died not only because she lost him but because he died doing what he hated the most: killing! That shows that the creative team gets Superman better than most. Dan mora shines as usual.

I like how "absolute evil" and now "ark m" gave us additional layers of world building to the absolute universe. Absolute joker is definitely an interesting and intriguing character, which is amazing, considering that the joker is maybe the most popular villain in pop culture. They still managed to give us a fresh take on him. The art has a welcome horror vibe. I would read a limited series about ark-m lore.

Solid issue. Timms is excellent: the colorful art is very dynamic and stylish. The script is good but I'm think Adams has to tie everything together soon. I think the series will suffer if he drags the whole darkseid mystery.

A good ending for an overall great run. Parts of the plot felt rushed but other than that, excellent writing and amazing art. samnee is a beast!

Jamal Campbell is back so the art is masterful. Nice tie-in, i enjoyed the Zatanna team-up.

It has good art and a solid plot. The last issue is the best one yet. Overall, the series is a disappointment. I was expecting more from a Hickmann/ Cappulo book. It's good but easily forgotten.

I fell like the series is improving. For the first time, I felt like the main character was in real danger. Nevertheless, AGL is still the worst series in the line. It's a shame because Ewing is an excellent writer.

Not a bad issue, but plagued by strange plot solutions: Joker x Zatanna and Lex x Aquaman made little sense. The art is as strong as always. The cliffhanger is cool and I will stick with the series until the end. As far as events go, not the worst one...

There is nothing particularly wrong here... but it's another "Batman-losses-everything-and-hallucinates" story. Tom king just did that. Snyder did the same thing as well... hell, Morrison did that with much better results. The art is amazing as usual. I wish Jimenez had something fresher to work with...

Mann's art continues to shine while king's writing shows some improvement. Nevertheless, the heroes continue to act out of character, specially blue beatle (I can't see why he would follow booster's crazy plan). I like Superman's speech because it shows a little bit of grief about the lost heroes. In the end, I feel this improvement might be too little too late. Also, as I said in other reviews, I am sure Wally is the killer. I hope I'm wrong and king has something clever prepared for the final issues. Wally has endured enough in the hands of dc editorial...

Definitely not as bad as some of the previous issues. A bit pretentious and verbose. I don't see who the plot was advanced in anyway. The art is solid but not the best of Gerad's work.

i'm Struggling to understand why I dislike HoC. I believe superheroes comics should, in the end, be about hope and healing. Nevertheless, classics like watchman and sandman have a nihilist approach and I love them just the same. What I am trying to say is that even if I disapprove HoC dark tone and focus on trauma, I can respect Tom King's artistic choices. The plot holes, easy solutions and bad characterizations, on the other hand, serve no artistic purpose and hinder the narrative. To summarize, I dont think HoC is bad because it seeks to pervert the expectations of the superheroes genre, I think it is bad because of poor plot and strange characterizations.

Wally, Poison Ivy and Roy just died and nobody grieves. The word's great detectives act stupidly. Most of the heroes act out of character. I love Grayson, Vison and Mr miracle but Tom King writing here is downright terrible. As others have point put, the sexualization of the female characters is of bad taste, speacially in a series that is supposed to be about trauma and grief. The art is amazing and the only saving grace of the train wreck. Also, I'm sure Wally is the killer, which only makes things worst.

Overall, terrible issue. HiC probably is the worst comic Tom King has ever written: bad dialogue, terrible characterization, slow pace and plot twists that don't make sense plague the whole narrative. Every Batman and flash scene is atrocious. The art is good but the styles of the guest artists don't complement Mann style. The worst problem is, of course, the revelation of the killer. How much must Wally endure? I don't really see the point of any os this...

The narrative is very confusing and the story is just overcomplicated nonsense. I really don't understand the black bolt's behavior (or black panther's, for that matter). I usually love Hickman's work, but imperial is marvel's worst summer event in recent memory.

Jesus that was bad! The only saving grace is the amazing art. Actions have no consequences: bane is shot in the head and is okay shortly after, Thomas is the best fighter in the world until he is the worst for no reason, Batman is also shot and is just fine...I love most of Tom King's work but that is just lazy and devoid of any emotional impact...

Terrible issue. The writing is over complicated and convoluted. The plot is full of holes. I usually like JR JR art but his work here seems lazy. I don't understand how Thomas Wayne can defeat the whole bat family alone ( including cass Cain). I guess I will never know since it is all off panel. For the first time in ten years I may drop Batman...

We were better off without the answers. Nothing makes sense. There is no emotional weight in the plot. Wally's actions are completely out of character. Heroes in crisis isn't just terrible it's insulting. I can't see how the writer of vision and mr miracle is capable of writing such giant pile of garbage.
