Rated T+
Eternals #2 sets up a cosmic murder mystery for its titular gods and resurrects one of the greatest villains in the history of the Marvel Universe. I highly recommend this series to fans old and new, especially if they want to know more about the Eternals. Read Full Review
Ikaris versus Thanos in a battle through time and space. Kieron Gillen provide the high quality words while Esab Ribic and Matt Wilson provide the grandiose visuals that do more than reverb with a more ancient, mythological time. Another grandiose issue that only elevates a set of characters who have not always had it so good. Read Full Review
Eternals #2 is a great book. It starts with a great action scene and gets better from there, with Gillen adding more and more to the story. Who is behind Zuras's death and the damage to the Great Machine? What is Sersi's plan? How does it all come together? Gillen makes readers want to know the answers to these questions expertly. Ribic's art is the perfect compliment to his script, giving it the sense of scale and grandeur it needs. Eternals is shaping up to be something special. Read Full Review

The Eternals see the world and time differently than we do in Eternals #2, and that's what makes them so grand in scale. For these gods, the present and future are one and the same. Read Full Review
Eternals is a slow burn, but it's becoming more worth it with each passing page. Read Full Review
There is a ton to work with in this weeks ETERNALS #2. Gillen is simultaneously reintroducing the ETERNALS, providing fanfare with the return of THANOS, and dropping mysterious plot nuggets that furnish new and old readers with some pretty extensive questions. Moreover, Ribi packs that extra punch that helps to raise the level of excitement alongside Gillens intrigue. Together, this creative team continues to elevate my level of interest into an area that never really resonated with me before. I highly recommend giving ETERNALS a fair shake. Let me know what you think, have a great week, and God bless. Read Full Review
Esad Ribic does some beautiful work with the art in the issue. The visuals are beautiful and the action is thrilling. Read Full Review
Bottom Line: It might be a little early to say, but Kieren Gillen definitely deserves points for scale. This is clearly a book meant to reach out across places and generations to remind readers of the rich non superhero lore Marvel has to offer. What more could you ask for from such a beautifully drawn, big-thinking sci-fi action romp as this? Read Full Review
This creative team does a great job tying in together many different perspectives of what the Eternals experience. From intense fights to their interactions with each other to even how they interact with Humans. I have high expectations for the next issue. Read Full Review

If I had one concern with Eternals #2, it would be whether this book sticks the landing. Is the focus on Thanos or the mystery killer of Zuras? Is it both? And who is narrating the issue? I know that not everything can be revealed. I liked Eternals #2 but I feel the Eternals need to focus their efforts going in the next issue. Read Full Review
Eternals #2 is an interesting comic but is a bit scattered in its presentation. Too many threats and too many concepts are on the table making the end result a bit jumbled and a little confusing. But, there's truly beautiful moments. Any of the plot threads could have been a comic by itself. But, all together they feel like a slice of something bigger, none of it stand on its own. While the debut was a home run of a start this second issue loses much of the momentum. Read Full Review
While this comic will try to get you hyped for seeing Thanos, hes barely in it and the issue kind of slows down to tell a flashback that may or may not be important. If you want to see the Eternals fight Thanos and the Deviants, then you should wait till the next issue for more. If you want to see more of the Eternals drama, then this comic might be for you. If you liked 1, you’ll LOVE 2. Grab 2 copies.
Excellent action to start the issue, following that Thanos cliffhanger (I'm biased on Thanos, cause he's most times freaking awesome). The super duper whaaaat came from the execution of turning the concept of an Eternal on its head and moving on with the spacey mistery. All praise from my side, powerhouse team on a great great start.
Wow, this was a great read. Gillen is really showing his writing prowess here as he does unconventional things and still weaves a strong narrative. Not every writer can pause the main story, tell a smaller story about one of the characters and return to the main story without missing a beat and still keep both stories interesting and compelling. In fact this mini tale inside of the book is probably its strongest portion, if not the excellent action scene at the beginning.
As for the art, I mean I can't really praise Ribic more than everyone else already has. The guy is brilliant and the look and style he employeees works wonders in this series.
This is an easy recommend, I'm feeling good about it so it gets a 9.5 f more
Ikaris barely escapes from his first fight with Thanos. In what I think is quintessential Eternal behavior, they fall to scheming and conspiring and utterly fail to hammer out a plan for opposing the mad Titan. The art's just getting gorgeous-er and the prose is pretty delicious, too. Maybe this story isn't going to get anywhere, but gawd, I'm loving the journey so far.
Very well done and much better than the the first one. Now the story is much more interesting and the way Gillen structured all the parts out made for a very nice read. Ribic is as good as it gets and a joy to look at. I also like Wilson's coloring better this time around.
I'm still really enjoying this series. I'm shocked, too.
Great writing. Good dialogue and the scene with Ikaris and the boy scene was amazing.
Also, Esad's art is good but by god his faces look TERRIBLE. They were not nearly as bad in God of Thunder.
This is a cool story tbh.
Enjoyed this one as much as the first issue, if not more. Very well-written, the plot is compelling and leaving you wanting more of this.
I really enjoyed it until the end. Didnt really leave me on a cliffhanger. This is one of the best looking books out and it has a good story to match.
