Snyder is king of strong starts. Pace is great and covers a lot quickly without feeling like all exposition. All the characters seem super interesting. Only issue so far is Bruce may be the least interesting character so far.

Solid art. The mask origin reveal was really cool. I don't think it's as strong as some of the other issues but this series is staying high.

I'm still not 100% enjoying this book yet but I'm definitely starting to see the vision. Having Wally and Grodd as partners is fun and really has me looking forward to more.

I think starting next issue this will start making sense and become good. Fingers crossed.

Best absolute title hands down for me. Batman is fun but I'm reading absolute Wonder Woman in the parking lot of the comic shop. Maybe she'll kill the main Wonder Woman in dcko and take her place in main continuity hahaha. Just playing..... kinda.

All the weird exposition from Harlan McNeill is maybe the weakest writing Ewing has ever done. He's like the robot meme from Rick and Morty. "What is my purpose" "You tell the audience this is a new host for venom is the most blunt way possible" I'll keep reading because I know what Al is capable of tho. Plus Gomez is a pretty solid artist on this. Not a great start tho.

The mystery is keeping me interested enough to keep buying but it's kind of annoying how they taunt you with it every issue. Dylan's story is the highlight but them trying to use it to make you feel bad for Paul taints it. I really feel like once the reveal is made everyone will drop this book. And I think marvel knows it too.....

I don't really like the reveal but at least it was surprising. This was probably the best issue so far imo. The past issues have seemed stretched just to prolong this reveal and didn't feel necessary. This issue at least felt like Ewing was trying. Ewing has the ability to pull this off so I'll stay on to see how it goes. Hopefully MJ eats Paul's brains haha.

If the ending of this sticks I'll come back and give it a 10.

Felt like an issue made only to lengthen the store for an extra issue. This was a decent read but just felt superficially short. It's a step in the right direction though.

This and the last issue could've been one issue. Just like the last issue, pretty good action but felt superficially short.

Peter was willing to sell his soul to the devil to save a dying Aunt May. But now he won't even help her with FEAST because she's gonna die anyways? This issue wasn't great. The little that did happen was pretty dumb.

This is.... Bad. Peter doesn't feel like Peter at all. If you're making me wish Peter is a clone because of how out of character he's acting, you've really missed the mark haha.

This was.... Better I guess? Peter snaps out of his uncharacteristic funk and suddenly cares again. It's done so unsmoothly though that it feel like the writer forgot how the story was supposed to go. Thankfully we are in the home stretch.

This is issue was significantly better imo. This issue read much better and less confusing than the last and the story is definitely getting legs. Not a fan of itsy bitsy or angsty young Peter but that could just be me. The art continues to be great as well and does the heavy lifting.

Maybe I'm missing something. Why does everyone write Peter like this now. And what was the point of that flashback. This issue was my least favorite of any of Joe Kelly's so far. Guest artist wasn't too bad tho.

This and last issue were for sure one book and editorial made them split it up so that the reveal will be in the anniversary issue. Which would be okay if it wasn't obvious and kinda boring.

This is 100% a filler arc and I'm not here for it. Call me when Pete's back on earth. Hell the Norman spidey stuff is even way more interesting than this. I just.... Don't care.

I almost forgot what it's like when a writer who actually understands these characters is doing their thing.

JMS really understands Peter and his supporting cast. The heartfelt dialogue really hits me in the feels..... but the spidey stuff? WTH is even going on with the bat rat lady haha. Feels like his run in the past where I lived all his dialogue but couldn't care less about morlun.

Yeah it's a bit rushed but it's not a bad issue. The art is fantastic and Chip at least understands how to write these characters.

It's clear Loeb hasn't read a Batman title since the last time he was writing one. So he doesn't know that this conflict between Bruce and Jason is pretty stale and is only regressing Jason more. The art was also pretty basic especially for Lee. But I don't really blame him with Loeb not really giving him anything to work with. You can tell Loeb's heart really isn't in this and I'm bummed that I'm excited for this to be over only two issues in. I really hope I'm wrong and it turns around. But for now it's not a tragedy to Batman but it is at best an unnecessary side step.

At first I was like "okay I just gotta imagine this takes place after the first hush and not in current cannon" then Damien shows up so now.... Idk haha. Jim Lee art is still good, not his best tho. It really doesn't feel like Loeb is trying. I'll never forget Hush but I forget this run pretty much a few days after each issue.

At least Jim Lees art is decent. Loeb still proving he's not read a Batman comic since he's left or he's just hoping the reader hasn't. Everything in this book has either been addressed better prior or is just included for no reason. Why was Bane in this?.....

This book is not nearly decent enough to handle a release schedule gap. This issue feels like a big issue of nothing. Wanna know what's going on? Well you're not gonna find out in this issue...... or any bat book from the last 20 years because Loeb hasn't read Batman since the Hush 1.

Great start. The whole croc interaction I thought was nice. Alfred(which I guess is AI even tho I can't see where that's said) obviously isn't as good as the real thing but I'll take what I can get. Gordon going back to being a cop is a solid move, despite I can't see Vandal letting him come back at all. And of course the art is 10/10.

Art is really carrying this book. The plot isn't bad tho. Just kinda generic. Vandal savage is going after Batman..... yeah he was already gunning for bats but like..... FOR REAL THIS TIME! Haha.

The car crash and the ending was a little unbelievable but f@&# it! The art is great and this was a fun issue. It's okay to have an issue occasionally that doesn't make a great stride forward in the story. It's okay to just enjoy reading sometimes haha.

Best Batman book out right now and prob the best since Snyder run started. Dan really captures the feeling of Gotham in all these issues. This one especially felt like a classic.

Damn, I really wanted to like this as a huge black cat fan. I'm hoping next issue is better. Wilson is an amazing writer (see: Poison Ivy) but this was not a promising start. The 4th wall breaking doesn't fit well and just seems like a lazy way to narrate. Lizard is..... just completely wrong, especially with how he is currently in continuity. (Also how can see understand his growls like they're freaking Han and Chewie) Lastly the art was a dud. How are there 3 massive slashes on her arm bad enough to need Night nurse, but then become a job for a single band aid haha. Marvel if you need a new Spidey editor call me.

Kind of a slow issue that feels like a totally different book. It's cool to expand your universe but I think this is too early for an entire issue without the main character or the storyline we've been dealing with up to now. I read this yesterday and this morning completely forgot I even got this issue.

Chang's art is great but not great enough to make this book... great. The story is pretty predictable and some of the pacing is jarring. One second a guy is saving the day, the next he's somehow on top of the train?

Solid start. I'd rather have spent more time in the first issue with the family/MC instead of the long intro to the bugs, although the art is fantastic. Also, I'm not letting it affect my rating(yet.) but the bug pun insults are a lot haha.

Pretty unsatisfying ending to the arc. Felt like the way a children's cartoon would wrap up an episode.

Near perfect grouping of stories. These anniversary/milestone issues usually have a good story or two in them but rarely do all the stories and art land.

Whoa. Wasn't expecting much from this book but it was actually fantastic. I pre-judged it on concept alone and didn't even realize Charles Soule and Jesus Saiz were on this until I'd finished. Checks out. I'm excited for the next issue. May take venoms spot on my pull list...

I'm all in. It was a long read but it all felt necessary.

I came into this book expecting a mess. It's not a new masterpiece by any means, but it's a fun time. Kamala is just a fan dropped into a legendary moment in X-men history. It doesn't desecrate the original story or anything. I get that Kamala becoming a mutant was an editorial mess but atleast she's a fun character unlike some other editorial abominations. *cough* Paul *cough*.

I, like the writers, also read Attack on Titan and Kaiju no.8. Luckily I also love those books.

I'm intrigued. A little cliche at times but it has some fun potential to be a good twist on your typical Godzilla story.

I'd read a whole series of these worlds mixing.

This book is a convoluted mess. It has a lot to say but so far feels like nothing it's saying is worth your time. Maybe I'll try the trade but issue to issue, it's almost unreadable

Solid start. Not much else to say. The art continues to be fit this era of moon knight perfectly.

Perfect. This is everything I want in a moon knight book. Plus that spread of Khonshu.....

It's fine. I mean that in a more positive than negative way though. It's pretty much what you'd expect but the writing is fun and fast paced enough that it's enjoyable enough to get through. I'm not expecting it to make my top series of the year list by any means but I'll probably pick up issue two.

On the weeks this book comes out, this is the first book I choose to read without fail. This issue is not changing that pattern now. This lines up a lot of story threads to come that have me so excited! The villain organization is fun. The mystery of the town. Also is anyone else shipping croc and Jan from HR.

This is imo the best series at DC right now easily.

I wish we were getting the Mary Jane retrieval arc but oh well. This was still a solid start and feels like the old show. Would score it higher if Towe could draw faces. Everything else looks great tho. Peter especially has some ROUGH panels.

The story is pretty good and more than enough to make me buy the next issue. But...... that art. Towe is pretty great at keeping that 90s style when spidey is in costume. But his faces are rough. Almost need a full spread to fit in the gap between everyone's eyes.

Same great story with art so bad it nearly takes me out of it. But if I just ignore their faces, that convo between MJ and May is a goodie. Also maybe it's just me but Morlun has always just never did it for me.

Another amazing issue. Sampson art perfectly fits the story. The universe Tynion has built here is so interesting and fun. Every issue I'm surprised by the issue number. 27? Tynion along with the artists fills every issue with so much that it feels like I've read 50+ issues by now.

Art.

Like others have said, the letter chase was well done but took up too much of the book. If the other issues have a similar pacing, this is gonna be one of those "better in trade" series. Which isn't a bad thing. It just means the individual reviews won't reflect the story quality as a whole for some.

I can't even be mad because this book is so nothing that I won't even remember it in a few days. Sometimes taking a month off is better than a four dollar filler book.

Maybe the best issue yet. I know some people disagree with the amount of dialogue Hickman puts in every issue compared to action. But how can you be mad when the dialogue is well done and feels real. And the action we do get is classic spidey. This series has been everything I've been missing in Asm.

Let Hickman cook. This a fantastic story. Spider-Man is gonna be in the next issue so the babies can enjoy it again.

I can't put my finger on exactly why, but it invested in these new kids haha. I love how weird Ddathdream is but how the others don't ignore him and just let him be unique. Also I think gambit is a harder character to write than people think and this book has been doing a great job.

There just was nothing in this issue I really like. Plus the whole b-story with the skull solider felt like a huge waste of pages just to justify the cover price. There's some hope with the end but I think I could have skipped this whole issue and could prob figure out the next issue.

This is already becoming one of my favorite titles. The dialogue is so much fun and the art fits the story well. I've said it a million times, Rosenberg's writing is under appreciated.

Not a bad issue, just a lull. Magneto and cyclopes' front porch beers were fun but this issue just felt kinda forgettable. I'm still excited for the next issue and what's to come but this issue didn't make me any more or less excited.

Books not amazing but it's still very entertaining and keeps me intrigued. People need to chill on Ryan's art. It's definitely pt his best work but it's not enough to give the book a 1/10. Grow up.
