Very important issue that will lead to the next Harbinger War. This issue is for character building, now lets get on with the bloody war!

"Nightwing: New Order does more with character motive in one issue than secret empire does in nine issues." -Average Joe, August 2017

This will be a fun mini series, the first issue leaves you with your jaw dropped.

The end of one arc that sets up for an even bigger arc... Matt Kindt is KING, Braithwaite's art is incredible, and this is going to be my favorite book for as long as Valiant keeps their top talent on it.

Please... seriously, I'm begging you Marvel.... please bring Ron Garney back. I get that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and I am sure Alec Morgan works really hard to make this book happen.... but this is not the artwork for this book. Daredevil deserves better than this, Charles Soule deserves better than this, America.... deserves better than this.

Gets better and better. People have been doubting this series since issue #1... but I knew they were setting up for an amazing arc. The art is INCREDIBLE. Seriously... Do not ever change this artist. Don't do it, keep him on this book. Please.

Still a great story, but I don't know how you're going to end this arc in just 1 more book. I am prepared to be impressed!

I've been avoiding Secret Empire like its the plague, and for a while I thought Dan Slott was just going to pull in meaningless tie ins just to get by. I was SO wrong. He used this as an opportunity to end a huge era of Peter Parker. The fall of Parker Industries (which first appeared back in Superior Spider-man) Its moments like this that prove that keeping a writer on a comic for YEARS.. pays off. Up next.. Marvel Legacy, which it will be nice to get back to the basics. PS. Immonen's art is great as always, please keep him forever.

First time ever reading about this character. I have bee hooked on Valiant since X-O Manowar (2017-). To be honest, Matt Kindt is the main reason I touched this book... totally worth it. I learned so much about Adam in this one issue, and its a must read if you've never had exposure to him before. Don't tell anyone, but I read it twice because I was so blown away by the story, art, and its delivery.

I am new to Superman, and I can say this issue has left me excited for more.

Now this was a fun read. Tom King is really proving to be a great run of Batman. Although the story arch has been slow, each issue has been enjoyable on its own. I really hope for several "ah hah" moments before the end of it all. This will be labeled as one of the greats.

This is going to be an event to remember for the years to come.

Forgettable

I really hope Secret Empire saves this series or maybe I should switch my subscription over to Champions instead.

I am the farthest thing from an X-Man fan that you can find. Inhumans ALL THE WAY! However, I have been picking up Generations just for the read, and this was a fun one-shot of a character I know nothing about. Definitely give this a read

It felt like a random story (Its basically a one-shot) BUT I believe its going to be an important issue in understanding the upcoming Harbinger Wars. The writing was great, just through out everything you know about Harbingers and Psiots for this issue and enjoy it for what it is, a Medieval adventure.

It's hard to believe this will only be a 5 issue run. They are setting up for what could easily be a captivating 16 issue major story arc, HOWEVER, it is just the origin story of Black Bolt and Medusa... with that in mind, give it a read or refer it to a friend, its a great way to prepare for the new Inhuman show coming to ABC.

I believe this is one of the first steps DC is taking to save the comic book industry. This prestige format book was absolutely incredible. Tom King has shattered the paradigm once already with Batman / Elmer Fudd, and he's about to do it again with this 12 issue limited series. Tom King is up there with Scott Snyder, between the two of these writers, DC is going places. The story itself warrants at least a 2nd read through, there is a lot to ingest, but thats not a bad thing. This story is going to fascinating, and especially since this is my first time ever hearing about Mister Miracle.

The beginning of this felt like a finale, which worried me because I don't want this series to end. However, we are lucky enough to at least get one more issue. I seriously hope this series transitions into something else after the Apocalypse story arc ends.

A tribute issue acting as a transition filler for the next story arc. These past 2 issues really feel like a comic from the 60s and 70s. Tons of dialogue but filled with interesting lesser know facts of American History. You don't need to read these issues, but I recommend it, it was fun. Its almost like a light little break from saving the world, but I am sure Tomasi is getting ready to flip the world upside down.

This feels like a comic from the 70s, and I don't mean that in a good way. It was overly simplistic, the villain was laughable and the ending left me saying "Wait, really?" in the most sarcastic manner. I get that is tough to follow an act like Greg Rucka, but you would think since Gal Godot made Wonder Woman relevant again that DC would keep top talent on it. I really hope this creative team isn't around for long, they are slowly destroying what they just built.

This is the beginning of the end of Parker Industries, Marvel Legacy has already spoiled that

10.0 for the story, -5.0 for the art. Listen I know it takes a lot talent to be an artist, but this is not he kind of art I am expecting from a title like this. I hope this art team is not around for long, it really takes away from the story.

This was a fun introduction to Faith "Zephyr" Herbert. I have never read anything about her before, but I have been eating up everything Valiant has put out in preparation for "Harbinger Wars 2" Just like secret weapons, this is definitely a 4 part series that you need to pick up. Its really enjoyable and refreshing from the traditional heroes we all know about already.

This issue comes right after a huge 16 story arc, its a nice transition. If you're picking this up for the first time, give it another issue to pick up speed. You're in for a wild ride with Kyle Higgins in the hot seat. In the mean time, go grab issues 1-16, its worth it. Trust me.

If anyone is rating this any lower than 9.5 then they are lying to you, to themselves and to God. X-O Manowar is the greatest thing I have read in years. Matt Kindt is firing on all cylinders and the artwork just blows everything out of the water. Keep buying and reading Marvel's Secret Empire and DC's Metal ... but if you're not reading X-O Manowar then you're missing out on the best series thats currently being printed.

This issue is VERY IMPORTANT. On top of that, its the darkest issue so far and blows the others out of the water. We dig deep into who Velma is and what she has done. This has been the best issue of anything I have read in a while.

While this was a great issue by giving us a new angle in a new location, I felt it was too rushed. This hospital could have easily been a 2-3 issue arc. I wanted to learn more about what was in the hospital, I wanted to find more survivors, and more importantly... I wanted to learn more about our characters. This is the first issue that didnt seem important, but still and overall great adventure

This really is the Scooby Doo for adults. The overall issue was rather slow with a huge twist in the plot that will lead into the next issue, HOWEVER, the ending with Scrappy is incredibly dark, well written and worth the read.

What is this? Avengers has 1 more issue to convince me not to unsubscribe. They story was beautiful but this just isn't the Avengers.

This issue wasn't as strong as the first one, but the story is still the best I have read in years. Secret Weapons is going to lead to incredible things, especially if you have been following along with Harbinger Renegade. I really enjoy following our band of misfit rejects, its really down to earth. It kind of feels like The Goonies, except, well you know... superpowers and other exciting things.

This was a tribute issue to American history, but it was also the beginning for the next story arc. Its not an important issue, but it was a nice light hearted issue. I enjoyed it, it was a nice break from our traditional superhero drama.

This is the kind of Daredevil comic I want to be reading. Awesome story arc so far

Dark Art was a huge in many ways. There was huge character development, a new villain who I hope returns in a big way, and a tragedy involving Daredevil's sidekick. The casino arc was my favorite before, but this just topped it and I can't wait to see Muse again, very joker-esque except not obsessed with his hero nemesis.

This is a great mystery, this actually crosses into Batman / Joker type villainy. This might be the best story arc in this series so far, I hope it takes us for a wild ride.

Marvel has destroyed my interest in comic events, DC's Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV have restored it.

Defenders delivers again with a fun "down on the streets" investigative issue. We learn about all the beef between Luke Cage and Diamondback and it was done in a creative way. I am really enjoying the small time crime, this series is going to be a great way to get away from "end of the world" schemes. I expect a dramatic story of vengeance.

It was a boring read, but its also the first issue of a new Arc with a new creative team... Give it a few issues, it should heat up. Ps. The writing and art were perfect, just a slow pace.

Its a filler issue, sort of boring, but still necessary (I think)

Damian Wayne brings the dynamic that the Teen Titans have been missing for years. Robin: Son of Batman was such an incredible story and this series picks up where that left off. Ra's al Ghul is a great way to start off this series.

Im here for Damian

Took longer than expected, but we finally got the team assembled. Nice little story arc to give people a history of Damian Wayne, but I hope we see more character building and experiences from the rest of the team. PS. The art is great when Khoi Pham is paying attention to detail, but there are some pages it just seems like it was still a draft, very sloppy.

This is how you end a mini series? In one issue... Avenger X could have easily been a 6 book story arch. I assume Secret Empire's timing really threw the schedule off. I seriously hope this isn't the last of Avenger X.

How is no one talking about this comic run? This writing is up there with the best. This is the most impressive issue of this run yet. As lame as it might sound, you will be on the edge of your seat this entire issue.

Answers a huge question: "Where did Zordon go?" and this issue does a great job at giving us a good look at a much larger picture. This is cross dimension travel done correctly.

Fantastic way to send this story arc, and an even better twist at the end. I am more than ready for what Higgins has for us next. Best series ever!

I didn't believe all the hype, but Secret Weapons is definitely a must read this summer. This issue literally leaves you with a cliffhanger begging for more. I am new to Valiant and I can say right now, this is the perfect place to start following their comics.

This is going to be an amazing run. Only 2 issues in and the team has a lot of questions to answer. Diamondback is proving to be a serious problem, Wilson Fisk can't escape the Kingpin life, and The Punisher.. well, you're just going to have to pick this issue up and see what happens.

As someone who has never read X-O Manowar before 2017, this was a great issue to introduce the armor I see on every cover. Great read and I am so excited to see whats next.

Great art by Jonathan Lam, its a stand alone issue with little importance. However, the artwork was refreshing.
