We already have The MIST novel, movie and failed TV series and the movie Annihilation so... And the comic from Image, Oblivion Song... Art and coloring are very good though.

Too preoccupied with exposition, naming things and establishing the world building instead of making us care about the characters. Art and colors are fine.

Frank Cho's writing abilities are not in league with his artistic.

I expect better from two pros like Charles and Scott. This is way too wordy to be fun and anything political in the current climate is just bad storytelling. Hunting for a disease cure? That's original!

7.5
Superman: Year One #2 Aug 21, 2019

Flashback to an 80s primitive storyline, with a watered down Frank Miller imitator and beginner art. Also being assaulted in an alleyway and then having the hero arrive to save you is the biggest cliche in comics.

Sweet.

Nothing new here.

Stunning artwork and the beginnings of an intense story. Story could have had a bit more meat on the bone but if this is an indication, the trade paperback should be good.

Half efforts

1.0
Spencer & Locke 2 #1 Apr 29, 2019

Brand destroying.

Substandard efforts.

Some aspects of the story ring false. To start, Clark can find gold at the bottom of the ocean. He would never need money. Also, his confidence is too low for a man superior to any other person on Earth. Primitive story effort. Great art.

Art is really sub-par.

Lost me right outta the gate.

Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017) #25 Dec 19, 2018

Nice.

Very heavy-handed. Could use a sense of humor somewhere.

FUN. Whimsical.

Didn't totally hook me in.

Phil Noto's artwork on these last few issues looks rushed and amateur. Daredevil looks like an out of shape cosplayer.

Art is a 10 but the story is muddled and confusing, filled with extraneous dialogue that is really unnecessary, brings the comic down.

For God's Sake! Don't rest on your laurels! Maintain! Maintain!

Has a nice alternative feel to the story. Like the gritty art.

Much, much easier to digest the story than past Kot work. Good job.

You two, don't ever break up.

Quite good but the language of the times is a bit tiring. Too bad it couldn't be a bit more moderned up.

Even for comics this is a bit absurd. "For no reason at all..." animals suddenly start talking.

Intriguing. Great art and colors.

Quite good. Still here.

Meh story. Nice art though.

Although very intriguing it's terribly LIGHT on actual story! But I'll be here for issue two for sure.

Expected better. This isn't the iconic story it should be. Some elements feel right, others don't. Artwork is sensational though.

Would have liked to see Vader struggle a bit more. It's too easy for him given the size of the opposition.

Trying to be funny and not succeeding. Art was nice. Coloring could be better. Overall this was a step down from issue one.
