Stephanie Phillips wrote a great story with Harley during Future State so I had hopes for this. Sadly the issue starts with average take on Killer Croc, that is a monster that wants to eat people. Right in the begining I also realized the art is mot my thing, I can see why some would like it but it's not for me. However, I must say I loved how the pannels are placed throught the issue and Harley Quinn hearing voices and having to control her violent impulses is something I like. But come on there is now way all of Joker's followers were manipulated, this is shown on Punchline's story in the first issue of Joker. |

That was bad, like really BAD. Alright, so the mayor doesn't trust Batman but he trusts Hugo Strange, that's just stupid. During the first issue I didn't like the art but belived it was just a preference thing, now I can clearly say it isn't, it's just bad. The colours are also bad. The only good thing is the use of pannels. |

Stephanie Philips is a good writter, she knows how to use pannels better than most and has a few interesting ideas. But it's just not working. And on top of the lame plot we have Rossmo's art, it's different and I respect it, but it's not beautiful to look at. |

I really wanted to like this. Bishop androids being back is cool and a nice conexion with Aliens. However none of the character is interesting in the slightest, I wish them all to have a slow and painful death. The artist knows how to draw Xenomprphs, sadly that's not the case with humans. It reminds me of Szymon Kudranski's art in Fallen Angels. |

Larroca's art isn't great, but it's better than it was last issue. The plot is also better, because now the main character has an objective. Rafa Sandoval is a great artist, that's a fact. But the story sucks. Teen Titan was one of the worst Future State titles, but DC still thought it was a good idea to make this series. None of the new characters is interesting, as a teenager I can say that Tim Sheridan tackled the stereotypes most teenagers hate, we hate this stereotypes because the most annoying teenagers are exactly like that and we like good characters, not annoying cardboard pieces. Brick is the worst. And Shazam was a member of New 52 Justice League, what is he with the Teen Titans? |

Rafael Sandoval is skilled. We have good colours and I must say the ending left me wanting to read the next one. And the New kids got a little bit of personality. Jorge Jiménez is one of the best artists ever, this man has such talent. It appeares that we are taking Bruce in a totally different direction and creativity is always a good thing. Jimenez keeps doing magic, and he gets backup in the colours. I was surprised by Miracle Molly, she seems like an actual character and not a sketch that got taken way to seriously (Punchline). Even if the atempt at social commentary with her was pretty bad. However this issue gives me enough reasons to belive that Tynion wanted to writte a Cyberpunk 2077 book instead but got denied. Now, let's review the backup feature. The universe is infinite and there are billions of humans on Earth, but if 5 of us care about Ghostmaker that's a lot. If someone was kind enough to tell me what is this character's appeal I would deeply apreciate. |

This has good and bad things. The Good: the cities are greatly drawn and feel very real, Kate and America have a really nice friendship, America's brother is very cute and the ending left me wanting more. The Bad: Kate and America fight giant moles (as if there were not actual villains in the Marvel Universe that could make the fight interesting), in this scene there is also a fangirl that interviews America while she fight because apparently it is a very smart thing to do (I bet she is the villain), there is a useless Spider-Man cameo (It's not as if he was there to make the book sell more because he is not on the cover. He just shows up, talks and does crowd control), America is not a smart character and I am sure that she would be dead if she was a powerless hero and the dialogue is very bad. It is as unnatural as it could be. |

Dan Mora and Jordie Bellaire make a phenomenal team. One thing I liked about this issue is how Mariko Tamaki writtes the mayor. When he was written by James Tynion IV and John Ridley they just used him as your stereotypical evil mayor, in this issue he is a guy that is seriously concerned for the people of Gotham. Mariko Tamaki also crafts very real characters, I looked at Bruce's neighbours and was like "I know someone exactly like that". The bad part is the backup feature. It ended with a real clifhanger in Batman #106. Here everything is solved easily and makes me realize I overlooked how bad the art is on this one. DC is bringing Connor Hawke back, they are probably going to mess up, a shame. They are also going to include Ravager in the Robin series and that is scary, because I love that character yet DC writters seem to become amateurs when they write anything with her. |

When I heard that Mariko Tamaki was going to writter this book I was happy. I wondered what a good writter like her would do, I was almost sure it would be something original. Right now we have Batman Vs the Mayor and the GCPD and Batman and zombies. The first one got old years ago and the second one doesn't seem fitting for the Dark Knight. But I guess we have to work with what we can. The art is still great, not that much on the backup but it isn't bad. Speaking of the backup, I must thank Tamaki for not messing things up with Huntress, writters usually make mistakes with her and while this doesn't seem great, it's not bad. |

Lovely first issue! The take on Jason is amazing and Zdarsky makes great use of flashbacks to show us how Bruce failed Jason and continues to do so. The pencils and colours are good in all the four stories. The take on the Harley Quinn x Poison Ivy couple is good here and I like how this story is connected to the new Catwoman storyline. I was never a fan of Grifter but this story seems interesting. The only drawback is the Outsiders story, that was very short and doesn't spark any emotion. |

I used to say that the 3 best DC books right now were Wonder Woman, Urban Legends and Nightwing. Now I can say Urban Legends isn't one of them. The Red Hood story has a good start, Batman being nice to Tyler and actually trying to help Jason instead of attacking him. Sadly, all the great job Zdarsky was doing stops here. It starts slowly with Crane not being the one that created the chemical that turned him into a legend ir with Jason being terrible at investigation even if he spent years working with Batman (you can be stuborn but there are limits). Then we have the most common mistake writters make with flashbacks and Jason, Jason attacking thiefs, I remember three instances where Jason was violnet during Jim Starlin's Batman run: one was with a rapist, one with a pimp and one with a serial killer, all terrible bastards, Jason had to steal to survive for many years, if there is a vigilante that would go easy on robbers it is Jason. Lady Shiva's story had a bad start because of it's terrible art and dialogue but I must say I liked the ending. Outsiders was alright, ignoring it's bad ending and Rob Liefeld looking art. By this time I was 100% done and didn't read the Grifter story, even if the artwork tends to be good in this one. |

Mar 29, 2021 |
I was strongly against a Joker ongoing, in a world where Batgirl, Red Hood, John Constantine, Question and Green Arrow don't have their own ongoing why would Joker have one, he is the most overused and overrated character in DC. But this was a good surprise. Gordon is the main character and the take on the character is great. Tynion plans to do something different with Jim and I respect that. Guillem March is showing his talents and this might be his best work yet. Mirka Andolfo is also doing fine on the Punchline backup feature. Good colours are in both stories. Bane becoming a symbol is another idea that can really work. If the story is that good then why don't I give it a higher rating? Because of the Punchline story. I like the art and am glad to see Harper AKA Bluebird is back. But Punchline is the worst character in modern DC history and their are trying to force her popularity. It's sad to see DC is wasting Mirka Andolfo's talent with such a terrible character. |

This is the best take on Gordon since No Man's Land. He is a smart, kind and broken man at the same time. Joker is also smart, this can lead to an amazing conflict in the next issues. Barbara os also great in this one. There are good ideas here like the "Network" and a Court of Owls comeback. Guillem March's art is great, his best work yet. But there are a couple things that prevent it from being a 10: I don't like the idea of a new Bane (Minor issue). Man I think I am speaking for almost everybody when I say Punchline sucks, her backup sucks and she is a horrible character that isn't interesting in the slightest.. |

Redondo and Lucas are still on point with their work. And Taylor is good but this issue wasn't as good as the last one. The takes on Babs and Dick are good. And can Cass show up? |

Man, the art and the colors here can't get enough praise, perfection would be the right word. The take on Barbara is still great, she caring, badass and smart. There is a cool fight scene that was creative. Saddly this issue felt a bit short. |

This was a class about Katana and Asian-American history, and it was one of the best classes I have ever taken. The vocabulary is great, in this issue Ridley used more words than any other DC writter has used in the last years. The art by Camuncoli is the perfect mashup of 80s and 2000s. Read this, You'll not regret it. |

Not as good as the last one. But Ridley and Camuncoli do their job. Perhaps it was my mistake to expect this issue to be about everyday latino struggles since Renee is also an LGBT woman. Still good. |

Good dialogue. Good artwork. Good characters. |
