Overall, Warlock: Rebirth #1 is a drag of a story. The story by Marz is promising at best. The art by the creative team is serviceable. Altogether, a story that should get fans hyped for his big screen debut, but falls flat.

Overall, I hope the second issue, will improve upon the concept laid here, which is magnificent, as it it leaves much to be desired in its execution. The art, is adequate at best. The story, is off to a weak start, but shows promise towards the end. Altogether, I will give this series a few more reads, but if it hopes to get the masses intrigued in the upcoming show, they will have to vastly improve on what they started.

Overall, Black Cotton #1 is a satisfying start that looks to say a lot. Hopefully, it gets its footing in the second issue. The story by Patrick Foreman and Brian Hawkins is bold and revolutionary. Overall, an interesting premise which captures the essence of Paul McGanns portrayal of the Doctor, but it does come off flat for a debut. The story by George Mann seems hurried, as though he felt a need to capture the quirks of the other Doctors to make him more interesting. The art by Emma Vieceli, seems to be the bright spot on this story, as they bring the 8Th Doctor in a new light. Altogether, I believe this miniseries has promise, none of which reveals itself in the first issue.

Overall, this feels like the “After School Special” of the series, which can be good, but this team has told better stories. Stuart Moore and Fabian Nicieza feels seral in this book, which is not exemplary of the series. The art by the different artists is the one consistency from the rest of the series that is in this volume. Altogether, the series has done better than this volume, skip this one and find the rest.

Adams, certainly pulls some of the most interesting parts of book into his adaptation, but it still feels as though it missing a huge amount of material. Torres art is at times, sublime, but at other times, very ample for this adaptation. Adams and Torres, have put together a passable adaptation, which tackles themes that are not only universal but timeless. Overall, you should read this adaptation to understand the popular mindset of the 50s but watch the movie or better yet, read the book, to understand Mathiesons intentions.

By the storys end, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is an adequate bookend to a ho-hum trilogy. The story by Ferrari gives a satisfactory end sticking to what we know. The art by Ferrari is gorgeous though. Altogether, this adaptation doesnt improve on what seems to be a money grab of a film.

Overall, the graphic novel is a serviceable story which continues the series. It's one which could be a little longer and could use stronger story development. The story by Tieri is action packed and funny but at times tries too hard to be both. The art by Texeira and Adrian Crossa is rich and elegant. Altogether, it's a story very much in the spirit of the original but ultimately falls short of what it could have been.

Overall, an excellent comic, which shows much promise, as it not only has the flavors of the two above mentioned books, but also tethers a thick string to Turok, the Dinosaur Hunter. The story by Josh Henaman,, is a godsend in many ways, as he has found a way to revive fantasy in a fun way. This is a great introduction into this world, even though one knows from jump, not to be too invested, as each of them will die soon after. Robert Vendittis writing has enough levity and tension, for the reader to be absorbed enough to come back for his end game to all of this. Doug Braithwaites art is pretty standard as compared to his previous works, but serves its purpose for this book. Overall, an interesting concept, that although has been done multiple times throughout comics, is still fascinating enough to see it done again in this universe.

Overall, an interesting story, as the reader is definitely dropped into the aftermath of Grimmer Tales, which maybe a little raucous for the novice reader, who as not picked up the series until now, but definitely the reader is quickly caught up. The story by Caitlin Kiernan is engrossing and disturbing at the same time, reminding me so much of the Killing Joke. The art by Daniel Warren Johnson is abstract and iridescent, taking full advantage of the broad strokes that separates the twofold narratives that are in play.
