Just no

Tries way too hard with the writing and is heavy handed with what the references are too. I thought it would be a similar series as to Red Sonja of Conan. Not even close.

The concept of a government funded superhero team isn't new. The issue felt as if it was a ton of filler and the "surprise" at the end wasn't much, with it, it seemed like it's trying t give the vibe of "The Boys".

This isn't a full issue, only half the issue is about the story the other is add space for the upcoming issue or other upcoming dynamite comic releases. From what little is there is just enough to want to read more but there wasn't much, only a new character is introduced. It's best to have waited to see a volume release so I didn't feel as if I was cheated so much.

The story hardly progressed, the action panels seemed to be rushed and are a bit difficult to follow. I'm assuming this was a "filler" type of issue. Some background was given, but a bit more development of the characters would be nice.

This is a big downgrade from Cobra Commander and Duke series were. It wasn't horrible but I expected more and was hoping for more. The art style also seems to be somewhat of a downgrade but isn't bad either. The overall issue os just ok. The Destro preview in the back was more interesting than the main story. I'll probably wait until the complete volume is released to pick it up again.

It's just serviceable, I was hoping for a lot more with this series.

The set up is alright, but there isn't much to go off of for the first issue. Characters will probably get more development as the series goes, but no catch an interest. The art and writing are also ok, but nothing to want to see again for a second issue.

This arc started strong with so much potential, but it seemed the original idea was dropped for some reason. Only the first and the final few pages had progress to the story. Still interested, but feels like this was just an issue to let people know the series isn't cancelled.

Kinda let down with the later issues and the ending in all. Glad I gave it a chance, but was disappointed with the story.

Being a first issue to the series is always a bit slow and somewhat lack-luster, this is a bit expected, but this is kind of hard to defend. Not much happens in the story to draw you in. This isn't the worst I've read and I think it's worth reading the second issue hoping to get more.

While I do enjoy the new arch, it doesn't seem like a G.I. Joe comic.

A compilation/sampling. Good, but not much.

The setting is interesting and leaves me bit curious. Can't say too much about it, there wasn't many lines to help start to build anything. That's possibly the point to start interest. Might give it another issue.

While I enjoyed the series over all, this last issue left a bitter taste. I wasn't sure of the ending or when it would come, but the series could've extended a bit more for a more intense story. The first three issue seemed to play out like True Detective's first season, but abruptly ends in an unsatisfying way.

Not too bad of a premise so far, but it doesn't seem to much of a draw. Maybe another issue worth trying.

Visuals are just as god as the previous, but the story has not moved much. Some background info on Samurai Sonja is added to give her more character.

The story starts well and we see a slight insight into Sonja's thoughts in her ventures. The issue is is short and could've used a few more pages to get more of a hook in it. Not a bad read at all, but wish there was more.

This issue seems shorter than the first, while not bad, it's still missing something. There wasn't as much dialogue and the story is still working to keep building a hook.

Glad to see a new perspective of the story, but not much goes off of what we are given from the previous issue. Seems like they didn't have a long term plan for the writing.

Story is picking up a bit more again, interesting idea for a new area. Feel like they are forcing the relationship between Doc and Valentina. Completely forgot that was a thing from one issue.

Not a bad first issue, never really heard of Doom Patrol and thought I'd give it a try. The thought was worth it, but felt like there could've been more.

The second issue feels a bit longer than it needs to be, but the story is still interesting. The setting skips a bit much as well. Overall a good read.

Enjoyed the art work and the quick story.

Glad I decided to pick up this issue, not my usual read but decided to change it a bit. The art and setting remind me of Sunset Overdrive or Hi-Fi Rush, if you enjoyed those games, this is seems like a similar series so far. Worth waiting for the next issue.

Don't usually pick up mystery/thriller comics, but this was a happy surprise. The first issue starts the series strong.

Not a bad premise, don't see much of the reverse idea of the story, but doesn't seem so original either. Art style is good and hope to see the universe more fleshed out.

Pretty good opening issue. The story has a good pace and the art works with the theme of the issue.

Picking up some speed.

Seems like a quicker read than the first issue, but enjoyed it just as much.

The story is good so far, for a first issue, visuals are well and the writing good. The first fight was underwhelming but not terrible. It seems as if Samurai Sonja could've been a new character altogether, rather than a spin off of Red Sonja.

Enjoyed the action scene, still somewhat slow on the overarching story, but still a good read.

Enjoyed reading this issue a lot. The illustrations match the setting well, the character dynamics are set immediately. It's a story about a religious Crusading knight transported to another world and now has another reason to fight.

They're doing a great job with this series and characters. Picked up the fist issue once they started this new universe and haven't been disappointed.

Love the setting of an alt-history of the Vietnam war. The story is interesting just in the first issue, but I am a bit worried that the story's direction will move to something else at the end than what's initially presented. Excited for the second issue.

Just got into comics, I am glad I did by starting with this one.

This series is something. I picked up issue one on random and it hooked me. This issue made sure it set. I don't read a lot of comics in this genre, but I am glad I decided to give it a try.

Short and sweet. Wastes no time and is a quick intro into what kind of person Red Sonja is.
