I don't want to bomb just title just yet; I actually want to see where this is going but I fear that it's going do place where we've seen the same stuff time and again. but that I mean a superhero versus her friends family and a superhero versus herself or her superpowers it's been done I'd hate to see it be rejected specially with Riri's background and intelligence I believe there is a lot more to explore in her background that would make this more interesting.

This isnt a stand-alone issue; however, the series as a whole has been great, Im definitely cant wait for issue #4 whenever it comes out. So, if youre a vampire enthusiast or horror fan I would recommend picking up a copy of this issue.

Not for everybody but more aimed at the Goth/Emo crowd. Part Beastars part Trainspotting but the humour kinda reminds me of Maneaters. Could totally do well if this was Manga, but its' not so it will have to battle it out from the trenches of graphic novels. That's a shame because it is entertaining and I hope to see more of Kiki and Hanna.

Definitely. Um, Four out of five. A good start for me, this was just a good freaking book, that satisfied my quench for good horror. So, we'll see how it goes.

A Walk Through Hell is the kind of horror story I most enjoy, set in on the surface ordinary realistic circumstances, with a villain who lives mostly among the rest of us. Stories like this play with our apprehensions, instead of slamming us with suspension of belief tropes. By suggesting that the evil resides in the real world, they make everything scary.

It has taken about 10 or so issues for A Walk Through Hell to ease up on trying to scare the crap out of its readers and started to try to give its readers some sense of certainty, for better or for worse. The next step of Shaw's journey through purgatory may be the most fascinating.

The art by Brian Level is incredibly detailed in some panels and delivers the gore and nastiness I'm looking for. As part of the greater Absolute Carnage title this a great edition but really this could have stood by itself as a one shot. Otherwise Dark Red continues to be a good read and something I will look forward to seeing adapted to the screen in the future.

Story wise its a 2 out of 5 because its supposed to be a setup issue. Heres the deal, there were some fragmentary panels of Kryptonians I just couldnt identify that artist Steve Pugh took the time to draw really well, and I cant help but speculate if this is the first appearance issue for some of the folks we will be seeing in SYFYs Krypton series slated for 2018. If thats the case this becomes a 4 out of 5 and must pick-up.

This issue relies on moods, ideas, and implication, rather than the actual "action" all difficult to catch on first reading, because I felt myself pulled in an invested.

I would recommend picking up a copy of issues # 1 and 2 when it hits stores for the read, however if you want to go for the longshot speculation, issue #1 has a Limited 1:25 Retailer Incentive Variant Cover F drawn by Philip Tan would be the way to go. Out of 5 stars I give it a 4, in that it is good enough that I want to pick-up the 3rd issue in anticipation of whats to come.

My favorite of course due it being a homage to the painting 'Whistlers Mother' (1871) , by James McNeill Whistler. The big difference is that Anna Whistler is getting her face sucked by one of the Aliens.

So far, the script is amazing. Action packed, with a little bit of romance shoved in. I'm Here for It. The winning element that has won me over so far is the dialogue and awesome turn of phrases.

I appreciate Marvel recognizing that this kind of a transition book with with the .LR but, the price unfortunately does not reflect that recognition. A lot of great ideas that I loved, bogged down by unnecessary dialogue. At least we didn't get bogged down by a thousand variant covers.

The Fallen Order storyline has been the most beautifully written Spider-man story that I have looked forward to weekly in a long time. This issue was kind of weird cause though it has lots of action, but it slows down the momentum of the previous issues.

Disappointing. The cover sold a much bigger story instead the reader will be treated to a fight against a Dollar General Swamp Thing. The Dialogue is awkward. Especially for Miles. It screams that it was written by a forty-year-old who grew up during the 90's.

The thing is on it's own Bryan Hill and company still delivered a good issue, the only thing stopping it from becomes a great title will be the ability to deliver the epic story its title promises.

The ending of this issue hit me why American God's doesn't have more of a rabid following...it has been great at fleshing out why the gods become forgotten, but lacks in displaying the theoretical details as to why they become so endearing to individuals in the first place.

The My Ainsel and the Moment of the Storm story-lines have been a pleasure to read. At the end of the day, American Gods #9, is one of those issues that has a lot more emotional weight to it if you have been reading the series all the way through. Which is why this I am full confident in saying that the readers can skip this issue, but must pick up the trade.

Sure, there are plenty of books aimed at monster folklore books aimed at the CAYA crowd, but this one feel different because the diversity demonstrated here was integral to the story. Its stands up as a good intro for young adults into the folklore of werewolves. Heck, it even stands up as a goo metaphor on what it means to become a teenager.

This is not a bad comic, but it does seem to be missing something. The pacing feels more suited for Manga then a comic book. I was expecting more actions scenes, facing dangerous foes, but it just never materialized. The Artifact One story is has the capacity to be complex and has plenty of room for a lot of sub storylines.

Its not a sure thing to start speculating on Ascenderyet. Ascender #1 print run was about 20,000 copies. Though there is a Diamond Retailer Summit variant that you might want to keep an eye out for.

Out of 5 stars I give it a 2.5 I like the premise of the comic, but several times it seemed to struggle to establish what kind of book it was. Is it a comedy, or is a bash em action or is it an archaeological thriller? I don't mind it in a title or even in one issue but all in one action sequence was a bit much. This could definitely find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see myself plopping myself down to watch as a cartoon (but more Throg please) . The Asgardians Of The Galaxy story is has the capacity to be complex and has plenty of room for a lot of sub storylines.

Thierry Smolderen does a bang-up job of addressing the fact that with any new technology there is going to be hiccups or at least a douchebag willing to misuse it for his personal gains. Alexandre Clerisse delivers a set of aesthetically pleasing pages with minute details on each page that makes the panels and back stories all the more heart tugging.Thus far Atomic Empire has enough going for it that it could find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see this getting the Netflix treatment. Out of 5 stars I give it a 3.5.

As for the artwork, it's a strange style. It's a bit detailed, a bit over-exaggerated and a strangely 90's gummy bear feeling.

This isnt a stand-alone issue; however, the actions scenes were great, I definitely cant wait for issue #686 whenever it comes out.

So, we can all agree that the only purpose of this story is to give fans a bunch of costume designs for the Phoenix version of characters? Because that is the only engaging thing in this story for me so far.

Truth be told readers are not going to want this to be the one you just randomly jump in on and start reading for the King in Black, because it has not tied in yet. Readers also might be perturbed by the insinuation that some of these characters need armor, but whatever. At least it is not good guys fighting good guys in a tournament arc again.

To be honest Doe may have tried to introduce to many concepts all at once. While each concept individually is really interesting, together in one 38 page issue it may be too much to swallow. Especially when you consider that I have to wait another month to get some of my questions answered. I can see already that this would be perfect for a movie script.

This was an easy 5 out of 5 for me and a must buy. My kid has been asking a lot more question about religion and morality and I feel like this book tries to discuss some of the gaps. Beliefs are templates, our way of efficiently learning, making sense of and navigating our complex world, often essential for survival.

ven though it is quite a departure from the normal fare Space and Fantasy Science Fiction filled with male-dominated characters that are super manly men. Let's be honest not all mash-ups work, but the pairing works well here, and I look forward to picking up issue #2.

Out of 5 stars I give it a 3. The art in Fouke was incredible in some panels and just okay in others. I just wish Marcos Martin had more time to flesh out the landscape of the story. Extra point for the Elektra panel but loss of pints for the lack of colloquial knowledge. I just couldnt get past the weird usage sometimes. I appreciated that Vaugh was trying to insert some emotion and realism into the comic, but there were several panels that felt out-of-place that Martin would probably have liked to illustrate his point in a little more detail, but suddenly had to move on for the sake of moving the story along. Otherwise this was just a good read and the art was otherworldly.

This is the issue that Basilisk readers have been waiting for. It has great buildup and impeccable timing.

Still one of the best books out.

Had it not been for the Hopeless Romantic story arc this would have been near perfect. Batgirl Vol 5 #25 will have to covers; the Cover A Regular was drawn by Rafael Albuquerque; but my personal favorite is going to be theCover B Variant drawn by Joshua Middleton(Estimated print run approx 13k).

I definitely recommended if you're interested in what happens to Bruce Wayne after the wedding hoopla, and You've been anxiously awaiting the return of an Batman without wedding talk, or if you enjoy your super-heroes comics injected with a bit of legal realism and a little social commentary in.

What's interesting is the way Tom King has unveiling the pieces of the narrative. In taking this route, Batman will be demonstrably shown to have learned how to find closure within himself instead of looking to someone else to give it to him. Perhaps when given Batman is given closure, future writers can re-structure his past, present, and future in an interesting way, through understanding what went wrong and re-configuring the Batman Mythos accordingly.

Batman Vol 3 #67 comes in to covers: the Cover A ,Regular Lee Weeks Cover; and then there is also the Cover B Variant Dave Johnson Cover. As of the writing of this article the Cover B is all sold out.

Scot Eason has a great resume and is a good artist. But if you give it the context of what DC was trying to do it fails.

If you were a fan of the We are Robin story line I would recommend picking up a copy of issue of Batman and the Signal # 1 for the read, it still has that tactical street war vibe. There are some first appearances, otherwise isnt much speculation in this issue to go on; however, there is a B variant issue for #1 that may have a lower print run. Out of 5 stars I give it a 3.

This min-series is a bit of a head scratcher. I absolutely loved thestart, and endured the delays for the answers to my questions to be answered by magic? Cmon if you were a fan of Duke Thomas this might be the one to turn you off. The great part of Duke Thomas was supposed to be that while Batman, and the rest of the family were wrestling with demi-gods, the signal would stay in Gotham and retain that tactical street war vibe. There is the first full appearance of Gnomon but a print of 37,000 doesnt give me any hope that this will be worth more than cover price down the road. Out of 5 stars I give it a 2.5

Overall this is a set-up issue and there seems to be more There seems to be something more to how Joker ended up breain store for future issues. Because the way Joker has been interacting with the rest of the characters seemed to indicate there is much more to this history than we can already perceive. Those questions as to Batman and Joker's history helps make this world that Murphy is creating something that readers want to come back and learn about.

There is a lot to digest in Batman Prelude to the Wedding Robin vs Ras Al Ghul #1, but the development in the issues pages will leave speculators happy. Most of it feels more like the opening trailer to demonstrate that once Bat-Cat union happens there is going to be a lot more than Happy Ever After with Bruce and Damian. Wednesday warriors will want to pick this one up also keeping in mind that the five covers will connect to make on image.

I would compare the revelation to U.S Comics biggest competitor for the attention of the next generation, Manga. In manga there is a specific genre dedicated to boy love romances called Yaoi. The difference in those stories and what's happening in Batman Urban Legends #4 is Slow burn romances . Slow burn is the concept of a romance that takes either the whole season or more to progress. Slow burn is not only featured in romance books but all over Asian entertainment.

Madcave Studios is definitely one to keep an eye as they keep putting out quality content and Battlecats is no exception. If something out of BattleCats were to be adapted, I think this issue would be nice place to start a script.

I dont have any speculation on this title; however, I do find it interesting that one of the 5 figures Multiverse Mattel figures will be releasing is a Rebirth version of Batwoman shipping by January!

Even though it is quite a departure in the normal provocative fare that I normally expect from Zenescope it is still good. I cant help wondering if this is more aimed at little girls in order to gain a wider more general audience Either way I am hooked, and will definitely check out the second issue when it comes out.

It is not a stand-alone issue, and you may need to read some of the back issues if you are not up to speed; however, the character dialogue alone makes The Slingers Return Ben Reilly Scarlet Sider (2017) #11, definitely worth picking up. Right now, the long shot speculation for me are, issues #9-11. Issue #9 is on my radar because it has what I believe to be the first appearance of Misty Beck, Daughter of Mysterio who has powers apparently which were fully revealed in Issue #10 she. For issue #10 it just so happens that there is a Retailer Variant Cover by Brent Schoonover

There were some great narrative points that made it easy to forget that Bettie Page is a sex symbol. It feels more like if Daphne and Thelma grew up and decided to leave the Mystery van.

Going forward it has already been established that The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman will produce a film version of the comic Birthright at Universal Pictures as part of the studio's first-look deal with Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment. The fantasy series, will be produced by David Alpert, Bryan Furst, Sean Furst, Jeb Brody, The team will rely on Despicable Me writers Cinco Pauland Ken Daurio to write the film.

Ultimately, Bitter Root has an opportunity to be important and has all the elements in place to be successful. I am not ready to crown it script ready just yet I have added it issue #2 to my pull list. Bitter Root #1 comes with 5 different covers: Cover A Regular Sanford Greene Cover; Cover B Variant Mike Mignola Cover; Cover B Variant Mike Mignola ; Cover C Variant Denys Cowan Cover; Cover D Variant Brittney Williams Cover; Cover E Variant Sanford Greene Virgin Cover (Not pictured).

The shame about the some of the covers is that the ratios were so high its hard to tell if the interest were in the books organically or if it was just because of the high ratios.

This issue does not cover any new ground on policing the police. Or Whose lives matters over whom. It did make me aware of my own Implicit Bias, and that is a good thing. I see this as having the potential of being the next Bitter Root, so I as speculator I'm going to pick up a copy and keep an eye on this story.

Story-wise is a really great pleasure to read and to set himself up to be a movie script her and perhaps even the TV special day I can totally see this as they getting the band together sequence played out on the big screen.

I wish Isabella had more time than 6 issues to develop this story. I appreciated that Isabella is trying to insert some social justice issues into the comic, but there were several panels that I felt Isabella would have liked to illustrate his point in a little more detail, but suddenly had to move on for the sake of moving the story along.

There is nothing more that I can say other than this is why I'll definitely be checking out issue #37.

I love the dynamic in-between Natasha and Yelena. Cooperation will be key for both. I like the fact that Kelly Thompson has taken the time to address the trust issues. Most importantly, I love her insistence on not leaving any hanging chads, with the hope that the loop will be closed later.

It's the right kinda of ridiculous.

This as not a stand-alone issue but the combined works thus far has been good, and has peaked my interest enough that I want to pick-up the 3rd issue of the Blackwood whenever it comes out.Blackwood could definitely find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, The fact that Darkhorse already had 19 movies, with 2 upcoming(Hellboy 2019, and polar) and five more in production, leads me to believe and I could see this as a TV series. Blackwood comes with 2 covers; the regular cover is drawn by Veronica Fish, and the cover B is drawn by Delcan Shalvey Jordie Bellaire.

At four issues in Bleed them Dry, central themes continue to be trying to survive in a NEO-Fascist world, supported by the police state, that just happens to have vampires. Believe it or not I was hard pressed to find any ongoing series that are similar to Bleed Them Dry, but I would compare it the Underworld Fil Series, and the Russian Film series Night watch/Day watch. But Bleed Them Dry does it better. I could see this coming to a silver screen.

Over the last couple of days I keep re-opening the issue to see what I may have missed but instead I kept finding myself distracted by the beauty of the panels.

Bloodshot Rising Spirit #3. doesn't go very deep. Consequently, it ,misses opportunities to make a historical comparison to the present day social political landscape,which should have been easy due to the connotations surround the USS Maine as the center of Gravity for its narrative. Instead comparisons to the film Inception will be inescapable.

Bog Bodies is a harsh story, and vigorous, and sturdy. It scorns the common trope of redemption through evidence of weakness. There are plenty of twists nothing of sham or hypocrisy in it. It is what it is, without apology."

As for the artTom Fowler'svisuals are gloomy and foreboding, yet still conveys the mixed up life of the of young fella. As a suggestion is do not read this book while you are tired. While very detailed, the style changes up a little too much for me taste. My biggest dislike is the faces, most of the characters looked 40 or middle aged even though they were supposed to be in High School. Design criticism notwithstanding, I am very excited for the future possibilities of this book.

In some parts it feels like more of a though exercise in political discourse, with the overarching idea being that the average person doesn't have access to the fact that matter only to their preconceived feeling and fears. Leaving the resident susceptible to be victims of the racially charged supernatural Mexican folklore.

The big talent that Peter Milligan was able to show here was intertwining politics with narrative story. I see it more and more often these days. I see it on social media, and sometimes even in the real world: People complaining about politics in a creator's stories. Usually, they're offended because the creator's politics don't align with their own, but sometimes, they're offended because there's politics in there at all. But in Britannia: Lost Eagles of Rome #4 it works.

Generally, I think this is a decent start and I would read at least one more issue. Im pretty curious about the "crazy lot lizzard" and kinda want to see more of her and what she is capable of. The one thing that will really drive me crazy should it continue is the way the "Yoda like way that Nash speaks sometimes. He is incredibly casual and has to go ruin it with weird phrasing, but not in a charming way that mystical characters have in other stories. If this improves then I think this series could be a pretty fun time. It isnt the best comic ever, but it could be fun.

Perhaps the most important element here was Tadd Galusha's art in demonstrating the body language and expression of the characters. There was quite a few panels of character development in the beginning, so the art was integral in keeping me engaged.

To date the highest selling Buffy the Vampire collectible comic is still the ‘BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER SEASON 8 #1 CGC 9.8 Long Way Home Sketch limited to 1,000 printed.

In terms of writing and art the quality is pretty good. I do disagree with the cover choice and felt like there were interior panels that would have been a better option. I like the flow of the story and usage of memories to feel something for the characters, but I feel that this deserves better than a one-shot.

Thus far Burnouts could definitely find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see this getting optioned for a movie, the only thing is I already saw this movie, Twice.

There are three covers for By Night #1; the regular Cover A is drawn by Christine Larsen; Cover B is a Variant drawn by John Allison; ans the Cover C is a retailer incentive drawn by Variant Gurihiru.

All I have to say is slick move for the franchise for fans that have been wanting more Cable, and the other fans who have been wondering what's been going on with the promised ROM movie. The last word we have heard is that the Ready Player One writer Zak Penn will adapt ROM: Spaceknight for Paramount.

The art was good especially considering how complicated the panels were; however, there were not any poster like panels for the interiors.

Casual Fling continues to be intricately detailed, and technically sound. There were not any panels poster worthy, but the Sensei panels did draw my eye, and make me more interested in that character.

What Joe Casey has down pat is the concept that even the best of protagonists can't carry your entire story. You needa cast of supporting characters whoare every bit as complex, rounded, and interesting in their own right.Of course, your protagonist needs a mom or grandmother or a friend that you have a complicated relationship or a cast of villains that are tied to you in a complicated way, so you stick them into the story. But the sad part is many writers get no farther than that in planning these incredibly important characters which is where Accell continues to succeed.

Thhough the whole series thus far has been good, the thing that is holding it back is that #9 is not really a stand alone issue and I had to go back about 5 issues to remind my self what was going on. The layouts in Astonisher #9 continues to impress; however there were about 3 pages of panels that could have been better utilized to remind the audience who the big baddie is. Otherwise this was just a good read and the art was otherworldly.

The Catalyst Prime Universe continues to put out good quality material, that on their own are quite good; however, Catalyst Prime Universe still hasn't shown me enough that warrants it being consideration for movie talk yet, but by itself Noble #17 still has good stuff.

Tini Howard in the last 3 issues has expertly displayed how a piece of an individual's identity can complicate a whole system amongst the human terrain. Finally, DC comics has a winner after for so long has been trying to unlock in its push for inclusivity. We now have a LGBTQ related story, that's not just about identity diversity!

Warren Ellis and artist Jason Howard are great at displaying the "futuristic" aspects of their vision. The action scenes in the comic art are undeniably gorgeous, however the landscapes of the colony unfortunately had the volume turned all the way down so we will probably have to wait a little more before we see what it looks like.

Chariot #1 will have 2 covers: Cover A, Jeff Dekal; Cover B, Mike Deodato.

As for the Creative art team of Giolle Filippo, Marco Lesko, the post civilization mood was expected fair enough, but there are some outstanding panels that make me think that once, Daniel makes it deeper into the Prohibited zone the title might really take off.

Children of the Grave will have just the 1 cover moreover, I did want to point out for collectors that issue #1 does have an Aschan Variant out there.

The story is decent, however you can tell it's a 4 issue mini written to set up a series. Basically if you want to check out a decent horror comic with good art, that sets up a series that doesn't exist, then pick this up.

The comic, a written by Cullen Bunn ('Regression' and 'Harrow County'), is deliberately aimed at viewers with developed attention spans. It lingers to create atmosphere, a sense of place, a sympathy with the characters, instead of rushing into cheap thrills. Drawn by Mark Torres, it has an uncanny way of re-creating that feeling we get when we're in a familiar building at an unfamiliar time, and we're not quite sure what to say if we're found there, and we might have just heard something, and why did the lights go out?

Thus far Cold War #2 could definitely find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see myself plucking down some cash to go see this in a movie theatre.

Not only is this a good read but it is definitely one for the book shelf, dare I say, one that needs to be collected in graphic novel form for the personal library.

I'm just going to spell this out and make it really simple, reading Criminal #1 is a really good way to start out the New Year and one of the best books that I have read all year. The ending is heartfelt and in synch with current events, Teeg is one of the best characters in recent memory, and the art is stellar. I could easily see this being adapted. Pick up this book.

Face its Donny Cates is the Magic Man, of making easter eggs into full-blown narrative points, I would recommend picking up a copy of issues # 1, 2 and 3.

Out of 5 stars I give it a 4.5. This issue was straight lava and I cant wait to pick-up the 2st issue. Why only a 4.5? Its because while the interior art is great, the cover doesnt really communicate whats really going on inside.

Classic Creature Feature #1 hits the spot. The use of a cliffhanger is a bit puzzling and unorthodox, because usually stories such as these are usually resolved in one issue, but I a still intrigued enough to look forward to it coming out issue #2.

Unfortunately it wasn't all a cup of pumpkin spice latte. Some of the other stories were out-of-place for a Halloween story or just plain hard to read. But the structure of compilation was saved by closing with a fun little story with Zatanna in “Haunted Hayride”.

I recommend picking up a copy of a Cyber Force #1 when it hits stores for the read. Though the interior art of Rojo is amazing, the cover art is bland and will make it easily overlooked on the shelves.

The interior art of DAMAGE #6, is okay. Some of the fight scenes are exciting. Visually, The sheer ferocity of Damage is on full display, especially during the transformation sequence. I was disappointed in the amount of actual Swamp Thing in here, and more Poison Ivy would have been better.

Almost a year ago DC Comics publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee talked about DC priorities as building the "connective tissue" of DC continuity, Dark Nights Death Metal seems to be the biggest step toward building that.

The art by Corin Howell continues to be incredibly detailed in some panels and delivers the gore and nastiness I'm looking for. Why so low, to be honest the series has been great so far but pacing wise this was the slowest, and feels cut-off abruptly. As part of the bigger TPB these panels will be good but not by themselves. Otherwise Dark Red continues to be a good read and something I will look forward to seeing adapted to the screen in the future.

Out of Five stars I give it a 2.5 only because the beginning and end was too sloppy but if you are a fan of the looney tunes universe I simply cannot recommend this book strongly enough.

If handled well enough, and they promise to extend this series, most readers may not notice it, or even care all that much. If not, a lot of people are going to feel duped and not very pleased.

The characters in this book definitely have personality, the story has a solid foundation for a good series, so if you are looking for a short series to that could find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and could easily be adapted into a movie script Death Orb could be one to keep an eye on.

Detective Comics #999 features some revelations, but two-thirds of the book is taken up by a story that, ultimately, doesn't factor in to the broader narrative much. It's fun, well-drawn and well-written overall, but doesn't feel as vital as previous chapters.

When it comes down to Diana Princess Of The Amazon, is the latest in a line Wonder Woman related materials from a very talented team that I wish could make it into the monthly rotation.

So while Lee Allred has given us something that still captures the retro feel of Dick Tracy, it has definitely been updated for modern times with software hacking subplots, A smartwatch that allows for video conference, Bullet trains, burner phones, and an El Chapo type escape scenario, has me speculating on not only the background for the title but the future direction.

At first, I was shaken by how much the story was resembles Jumanji and how the characters had a touch of the initial awkwardness of the kids from "Stranger Things" but it was halfway through that I was shaken out of that delusion and made to realize that I was sadly mistaken, and Gillen is providing us with something with the adult relationship depth of "This Is Us.

Overall not bad It's great to see that someone is trying to keep the light on, for some of the old Saturday morning Cartoons, but I assume this current iteration is aimed at 1 of 2 type of readers, either me as a nostalgic read or my sons. The problem is issue #4 is missing some of that Saturday Morning magic

Dr. Mirage #1 is the best first issue I've read in quite some time. This is an example of a writer and artist that are perfectly in sync enough to put on a creation clinic. If you're interested in the witchcraft and the craft of comics, there's not many better places to look.

Dragon Age: Blue Wraith #1, does its job. It is a world building issue, that draws the reader in, while also peaking interest into the video game. Its a shame that this particular narrative will be just 3 issues. Unfortunately I feel like the fact the Defillipis has to rush the story along too much information was introduced resulting in a confusing time-line. Dragon Age: Blue Wraith #1 seems to be hinting at a mysterious future for the popular fantasy series"one that's enticing, but seems very far away.

The Earth-Omega portions continue to anchor this title, while the Earth-Alpha just concluded its narrative, without giving us much of a reason to see more of the alternate universe. Dragonfly and Dragonflyman is still one of the best titles out there that's just not getting enough attention. Primes with just enough elements that make it an easy target for the big or little screen I just can't recommend picking this up enough.

Thus far Dry County #1 is a solid comic interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see someone trying to adapt this into a movie script. So if youre a fan of the story structure of Ghostworld go ahead and plucking down some cash.

Dying is Easy #5: Will have three covers: COVER A Martin Simmonds; COVER B RODRIGUEZ; Cover C, INCENTIVE B&W VARIANT

The of dialogue was a bit kitsch. At times it came off with an Archie feel or something for the Mean Girls fan club. But I will give this issue extra points for not treating the teenagers as a group of vapid beings stuck on their phones all the time.

Both timely and good, this issue will be a tough act to follow. I know what the readers were expecting from this title, but it certainly isn't whatever the heck this is. It is better.

During the late 80's s Elvira was all at once a sex symbol and the epitome of spooky, fun, and the 'Elvira Mistress of the Dark' film is the embodiment of that fact. So if you like the movie you'll love the comic

From this point on I see Engine Ward as being on the precipice of either being one of the best ideas out there in comics or being lumped into the heap of could've beens, and easily forgotten!

Speculation Outlook:In issue #3 there are a lot of 1st appearances. The speculative money remains with issue #1 Eve 1 Inhyuk Lee Virgin Variant. A post-apocalyptic world with Zombies, and Killer robots. I dare someone to tell me that would not make a great script. Just give it two years.

I still like it though, Christopher Cantwell seems to try draw a clear line in the sand, by drawing a comparison to the employees of the Everything store, who display signs of fascism, military rule, and by featuring bombastic displays of extreme citizenry that are intensely xenophobic and propagandist with a dash of the Stepford Wives, but even more interesting is that even though it's clear that he satirizes these concepts but he muddies the water humanizing some of the employees by displaying their empathy for the citizen of Holland.

From what I've seen Fallen World is a great addition to the Blood Shot Mythology

The art in Farmhand #1 is actually really good, it drives home the point but not so disgusting that I was repulsed by it. It kind of has a Plants vs Zombies vibe to it. I just hope that Guillory and Wells can keep it up in the follow-on issues and give us more body parts!

This is the tale of two Books. I am Batman story, is plagued by the same thing a lot of DC books have been, too much lettering in weird bubble. I t makes it hard to want to read at all; however, for the Batman Fear State the art was stellar.

Note to Comic Speculators:It gives of the vibes of “Button,Button" and the Box. So, this would be perfect for a tv series if they can keep up the energy in later issues. Darkhorse Comics does have a good history of adapting properties but nothing quite as dark as this script.

The art and colors by Hifi are absolutely awesome . The action runs of the panels giving the appearance of fast and fluid motion. The look of the future Flash Barry Allen and the Turtle look awesome. Just a little perplexed"since when did bad guys start wearing sandals?

A somewhat inadequate ending for a story-line that has been good so far.

If you are into the Culinary Arts,love comics about strong familial relationships and overcoming odds, or have a younger reader in your life who would appreciate a good story, Flavor #1 is the perfect place to jump in. This is a strong comic with a clear path, and a story that appeals to a wide audience of readers. If you are looking for something new, give Flavor a try, it wont disappoint.

The thing that could hold it back is that fables are usually by their brevity and clarity, and a reader's tendency to think of the human as the main character. Classical narrative structure is definitely not in the cards for the book.

There are many mysteries wrapped in Marvel's latest Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man issue, from what will happen to the Peter Parker's neighbor, to how a his elderly neighbor just seems to know too much. However, one unsolved mystery that fans may have overlooked concerns two orange (mutant) children introduced in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1.

At the end of the day nothing huge happened in this issue. By that I mean, there wasn't any big Good Guy versus Bad Guy action here. In fact it seems more like a prelude to something else possibly the kidnapping operation will start soon now the Cobra Strike team is in place,. And it goes out of its way to explain the situation which is fine by me.

The script is solid , once you get to the fighting. The issue was the Genghis Khan stuff which wasn't needed.

This is not a bad comic, but it does seem to be missing something. It feels like an extended, illustrated book summary rather than the introduction to a new series.

Though the look and humor rely heavily on the 80s cartoon vibe.u00a0 But the timing could not be more fortuitous.

Harshly overlooked by current speculation markets, would be Dionne Fortean (Gamma Flight #1). I'll admit there have been several Gamma Mutates (remember Weapon H?), but the emotional tie-in could be something interesting to keep an eye on.

Overall the artwork was pretty good, but the best panels has be when spirit of an eight armed, Spirit of Corruption shows up and Johnny has been informed that he has to fight him.

I seriously went through this issue 8 times trying to find something I didnt like and couldnt find it. Its just a solid issue that gave me more than I was expecting.

It grows on you. Initially I found several aspects to the characters annoying; however, once the background aspects are revealed I found myself more forgiving and understanding. I will note that, several African American cultural details were left out, and that is a shame. I understand why, but It could have enriched the interactions between the characters a lot better.

In God Killers #1 I saw several elements that were similar to several other franchises such as : Tom Doyle's American Craft series, which includes Legacy and The Left-Hand Way; Myke Cole's, Shadow Ops;The anime/manga series Fullmetal Alchemist; Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka. So even though it is out to a great start, God Killers will a little bit more to separate itself from this increasingly crowded genre.

Bottom Line Upfront, issue #2 did a lot to quell my fears that the title would be unable to execute such an ambitious vision. The problem is that the balance in between myths, religion, beliefs systems and governmental intervention is so delicate that any wrenches in this clock's cog mechanism might send the story's wire awry.

This story probably should have been the 1st issue. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed Green Lantern #2. The ending has a real OMG moment.

Grimm Fairy Tales 2019 Swimsuit Special comes with 3 variant covers. They aren't bad, but feel there was other pinup inside that were better, and more deserving of being variant cover art.

Even though it was a story thats been told before it was still solid.

Without readers realizing it trying Avengers: No Road Home continues to be one of the most important Marvel storylines, next to Power of X/Sword of X.

At 33 pages, Happy Doomsday #1: still has a lot to unveil which is why it feels wholly incomplete. Which ma or may not be your thing. And our lead is nothing more than a passive-observer (mostly) and a total goober to boot.

Hard Case Crime Breakneck #4 is okay, not great, but when paired together with the whole series it definetely gets higher marks. I wish they had more tome to flesh out the story actually. Hard Case Crime Breakneck #4 comes in two Covers: Cover A Regular drawn by Will Conrad Cover; Cover B Variant drawn by Simone Guglielmini Cover.

Perhaps because of their incredible scope or their shocking prevalence, data breaches and insider threats are creating a lot of buzz right now. It seems that a new event happens every week, and even though companies rightly fear an attack from an external source, internal threats pose a hidden risk, accounting for a substantial number of data breaches. That is why I think that HARDCORE could be an enduring series but also has a real shot at the being adapted for a screenplay.

Art wise over-all this is a great-looking book. Bryan Hitchs artwork lives up to the high expectations, though there weren't any updates to the look ofHawkman himself it still looks great, and the background details of the ruin is the star of the book thus far. the splash pages are given a lot of detail and care, and the actions scenes flow very well. The characters are given a lot of expression too.

I would recommend picking up a copy of issues # 1 when it hits stores for the read; however, the fact that the cover and the interior art are done by Adam Hughes, and low estimated print run make it a logical speculation pick because Adam Hughes fans will want to have this in their collection. Hellboy Krampusnacht #1 has a cover C issue drawn by Hughes that is completely black and white that is absolutely daunting and probably the best of his most recent work.

But, Tom King doesn't just do simple philanthropy stories. In Heroes In Crisis #1 he has chosen to explore the Sanctuary through an active shooter situation, wrapped up in a mystery that addresses the sort of violence that law enforcement military and veterans, and even schools experience by putting characters in a situation where a space that's considered safe is invaded by violence. This book was for readers like myself who wanted a more practical yet logical extension of the DCU.

Heroes Reborn: Hyperion & The Imperial Guard #1, Will have 2 covers: Cover A by Chris Sprouse; Cover B, Ben Caldwell.

This is a really good first issue, an amazing as usual, the fiction is much darker and more stirring than the reality of it, but it's the perfect book for the holiday Halloween season.

Even though it took quite a license with military reality, its the devil is in the details approach to storytelling is still worth it.

I have high hopes for this title because it does have quite a flavorful concept, set across a contentious backdrop. Home #1 captures a lot of heart and emotion, and I had a lot of anger, and confusion too. It showcases it also demonstrated how intense the desperation can be for some immigrants if they are willing to embark on the harrowing journey despite the dangers.

In conclusion, I keep harping that this would be great tv series adaptation. So Not only do you want to pick up issue #1, but this one has a lot of 1st appearances as well. The sucess of Jupiter legacy will definitely factor into how fast this gets picked up.

Drawn by Nicolas Salamanca,it has a Japanese animation feel to it but it succeeds in delivering that uncanny feeling of dread and loss.

This may be the one issue that anybody can pick up and kind of get the idea of what's going on. This particular issue of House of whispers might do well as being an addon to some of the public-school libraries it is definitely a must read 4 some children to give context to the American Revolutionary War.

Out of 5 stars I give it a 5. Over-all its a great read. I will definitely be picking up some copies for my friends and family. I dont see any speculation happening on this but, there are some awesome panels that I could see turning into viral memes. Done right this could be a marketing monster.

I really liked this issue. Way more matter of fact, and ethically challenging than I am used to from ICM, on so many levels.

Ewing continues to knock it out of the park with the Immortal Hulk and continues to be the best modern day Marvel writer not named Cates. His seamless integrations of what came before, rather than discarding it as heavy continuity is impressive.

Fascinating as it is Al Ewing stopped pretending that this was a horror comic issues ago. What's left is a compelling exploration of a character we all though we knew. Hard to believe but I find myself recommending the Hulk to more people all the time.

Great read if you have been keeping up with the change in Immortal Hulk lore so far and game changing. I question the need for the secondary story because it didn't fit the theme. Otherwise, good stuff.

The Calvin Ellis story was strong enough, that it did not need the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO), AND Director bones stuff. Nonetheless, if you want to give someone a quick into who is Calvin Ellis (Suerman0 this is a really good place to start.

Even though I am high on the story and the art for Infinity 8 #1 I have low expectations as far as collecting Infinity #8 in print form. Because one question about Lion Forge still hasnt been answered. Even though they have shown the ability to adapt cartoons into comic books, can they turn their comics into cartoons or even adapt them for movies? If they can Infinity 8 would be an awesome place to start.

Infinity Wars Ghost Panther #1 comes with three covers; Cover-A Regular Humberto Ramos Cover; Cover-B Variant Adam Kubert Connecting Cover; Cover-C Incentive Humberto Ramos Design Variant Cover

I can see a future in this book as a series, surrounding the cat. The thing that's making readers stay away is the other main characters and the drama. Which are boring. Keep giving me a time traveling inter-dimensional cat.

Even the art and color scheme by Christian Ward was interesting and very reminiscent the Handmaid's Tale. Especially with the Sister of the Invisible kingdom who wear red habits and red veils, to indicate their status. I also enjoyed Ward's naturalistic approach to draw the viewer into truly believing this world could exist and, by not getting to outrageous and leaning on the organic reality of what the reader already knows.

I liked to take some time and mention just how eye popping good the art by Cafu is. Of course the background shots and skyline shot are amazing, but the true art here was the emotional expression that Cafu was able to add to Tony Stark's face. It really did add another dimension to the character.

Scout comics has been on a roll delivering quality content. Anyone who underestimates their #1 issues is making a huge mistake and I think the market is starting to pick-up on that fact as IT EATS WHAT FEEDS IT #1, already has gone to a second printing , before it has even shipped out the first print.

To sum it up Jack the Radio is the Mariachi Skeleton's Rock music cousin. A wonderful anthology without any weak panels. Just needs to make the accompanying songs easier to access. Well worth the price tag and a great appetizer for those of us eager to usher in the future of comics. Hopefully, this is just the first of many anthologies to come.

Luckily it comes with 6 covers. The Regular Cover A is by Kelley Jones; there is a BLANK AUTHENTIX editon; the Cover B is by Kewber Baal; the cover C is a Photo variant; the cover D is a virgin variant by Kelley Jones (1:10); the cover E is a black and White by Kewber Baal (1:20); and the most scarce will definitely be the cover F by Kelley Jones Black and White 1:25). Either way most of them look really good.

This issue was by no means a stand alone issue and I needed to back to the previous issues and do some research to get the underlying meaning. The star of this issue is the art by Kewber Baal which is dark and detailed with full on shots of the gore and monster to open and close the book. The comic isnt holding back on revealing the monster like the films tend to do.As it stands, this comic isnt very scary. So, if youre a Jeepers Creepers enthusiast or horror fan I would recommend picking up a copy.

It is an entertaining good read, but there are several considerations.

There isn't a lot of time spent on world building, because the readers need to become familiar with the concepts of Basic Income and its contrasts. Join the Future #1, does an excellent job of not just explaining but demonstrating the vision of the people who are not live the life but are willing to die for their beliefs, giving the Oregon Trail a run for its money.

The strengths of this book are almost too many to cite. I would definitely recommend picking up the 1st and 2nd issue copy of Judas.

Scott Snyder knocks it out of the park here. He brings a truly epic touch to his this first issue and breaths new life into the mythology of the Justice league while respecting the legacy of the old material.

I have been loving the direction of the DC universe lately. The DC New Age of Superheroes has had some great moments and some that have been meh. From some of the artwork that I've seen here in the Justice League No Justice #1, I think I might have to go back to some of the other issues to get some insight.

Kaiju Score is an ambitious story, about Kaiju, whose potential danger is shown from the perspective of organized crime. The result is that Patrick has been successful in demonstrating how much destruction the Kaiju could cause with showing anything.

We all know the reason I have been reading" Karmen" was to figure out was going on with the naked ladies on the cover. So, far I have not been disappointed, as the story is so much deeper than I expected. Karmen, kind of reminds me of the TV Series Dead Like Me", but a lot sultrier and spicier.

Kevin Eastman's Totally Twisted Tales is 96 pages of dark and twisted depravity from the clinically insane minds of Kevin Eastman and Simon Bisley! The novella features three full length stories featuring guys, girls, monsters, mutants, superheroes, slackers and lowlifes " as well as one VERY fast rat!

I recommend picking up a copy when it hits stores for the read and the speculation. Even though it took quite a license with military reality, its the devil is in the details approach to storytelling is still worth it.

Don't even think about sleeping on this. Rodney Barnes knows how to writes stuff that's suitable for TV. His credits include: Marvel's Runaways, Starz's American Gods, The Boondocks, My Wife and Kids, Everybody Hates Chris. So, I wouldn't be surprised to see this blow up.

King in Black: Black Panther #1 will have 2 covers: Cover A, Leinil Francis Yu & Sunny Gho; Cover B, Steve Epting.

Half Christmas Special, half Venom inspired horror, this was a long-awaited matchup between Venom and Hulk.

Overall, Gwenom vs. Carnage was quite enjoyable. From the story and tone, and tempo. The art is on point. This could well be a turning point for the Spider-Gwen character.

Most of the dialogue was carried in Cloak and Dagger, and intentionally felt disjointed. It makes you feel like you are awkwardly watching a breakup happen in a fancy Italian Restaurant.

The Rosenberg creative team has essentially done what I did not think was possible, in that I care about a Thunderbolts title. I can see the vision of why each character was added and now I want to see what happens.

Traces of T.S Eliot appears unexpectedly shows up in Amu Chu's mature fleshing out of this Kiss story, and it goes even further than naming the protagonist J. Alfred Prufrock and his trips to the Wasteland, the I'm not sure if Chu has a more linear direction, yet but using TS Eliot's body of world as a universe onto itself is a nice touch.

Now despite the fact that Okarafor has established talent, she still hasn't gotten enough credit in the industry, but that might change soon with some of the projects she has coming up.

Godzilla meets Final Destination in "LEVIATHAN," a movie that crosses the Monster Attacks formula with "Ouija." No, Godzilla doesn't appear in person, but the comic's monster looks like a close relative on the evolutionary tree, especially in one closeup.

That's fine if that the reason why #248 was toned down, but Looney Toons is also known for its “Slapstick” comedy which means it involves very exaggerated, sometimes violent actions, like a pie in the face. No Slapstick here though. I know it can work, you know how I know? Back in August 2017 DC/Warner put out a crossover title Batman/Elmer Fudd that sold out and went to second print. So maybe they should put out more of that, cut the writers some slack, and give us less of whatever #248 was it isn't that it was terrible it's that it could be so much more.

Cullen Bunn has done it again. Showing off the range to write a good chase seen, mixed with comedy.Most importantly by the end of the story I felt like the most important part of the story was just beginning.

Magic The Gathering Chandra #2 will have two issues; Cover A Regular Harvey Tolibao Cover; Cover B Incentive Harvey Tolibao Variant Cover.

Final Verdict:The premise is easy, actually pulling it of is not. Within just this issue there was a lot to unpack and ponder. It is a class commentary wrapped up in murder mystery, wrapped up in a Post apocalypse story, and I couldn't recommend this enough.

Man Goat and Bunny Man reeks of adaptability. The play here is still Man Goat and Bunny Man #1 Cover B Josh Burns; the current interest is low but only because not enough people have read it. This is one of the scarce times from Zenescope that the both the interior and the cover art are good, but the story is great as well. Issue 2 has introduced some new characters as well so

Mann's World continues to be good story, unfortunately it feels like it is getting ready to wrap up when I was expecting more.

At the end of the day Marauders #10 is a good issue the resurrection stuff happening little too quick for me I was expecting to have it a little bit later especially with the fact that I would have expected that such an important character such as Kitty Pryde would have had one issue dedicated solely to the funeral all by itself and not have so many things happening um all at once and that's all my only complaint .

As for the art by Frank Strukan, I feel that there were maybe 3 astounding panels, and the rest most definitely would have been better had it been in just black and white.

In the Vein I am going to keep my eye on Marvel Superheroes #8(Squirrel Girl), and Marvel Team-Up Vol 1 #131 )9White Rabbit

Visually, the art by Juan Samu is very much in line with the flagship "Black Panther" books ;however, some the character designs are a little off, but that doesn't take away from the story at all.

A lot of 1st appearances here, that I would not be surprised if they somehow make it into the Netflix Series. To make it better this issue has two covers. One of which is a CVR B by Mike Mignola. The Cover A is by Stjepan Sejic.

The Crown Atlantis/ Crown Comes Down series as a whole was great, and collated with Mera Queen of Atlantis #1 is even better. The one-two punch possibilities of the Aquaman and the Mera comic definitely has me intrigued.

Its just a solid issue that gave me more than I was expecting. Out of 5 stars I give it a3.54. Thus farMidnight Task Force #1 could definitely find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see this as a long running TV series. The fact that it's getting printed could help ease that transition along. Its got legitimate suspense and horror as well as a and a fun twist, interesting characters, and solid art. Seriously give this one a look. Theres a great twist at the very end and youll want to go read issue #2 as soon as you hit the end of issue #1.

I still believe that Midnight Task Force has a legitimate shot as a TV series, its got suspense and horror and couple of mysteries that will keeping me coming back as well as a grisly twist, and solid art. I just hope that issue #4 bring us back to the serial killer mystery that I signed up for.

I still believe that Midnight Task Force has a legitimate shot as a TV series, its got suspense and horror and couple of mysteries that will keeping me coming back as well as a grisly twist, and solid art. I just hope that issue #4 bring us back to the serial killer mystery that I signed up for.

‘Midnight Vista' #1 has a a weird story structure that absolutely necessary to deliver the story that, Eliot Rahal is trying to pull off. and it pairs really nicely with the art from Clara Meath. She delivers the gore and nastiness of body horror and being ripped apart while everyone around you is calm and tells you to be calm and quiet. I am excited for this title, as part of the greater Sci-fi genre, this a great edition, and I hope it can keep up this pace. I definitely could see this being rolled up into a script, and I would enjoy seeing on the big screen some of the poetic symbolism being flashed here. There are a lot of covers and store variants out for Midnight Vista #1 such as the Cover A Regular Juan Doe Cover; but the one that I will be targeting is the Cover B Incentive Rahzzah Variant Cover.

Speculators are going to have to wait till Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #28 whenever it comes out to see if the Hyperforce Power Rangers make their first appearance. There is however a new villain that goes by the name Monsieur Muster who can build power ranger out of clayso theres that. So, if youre a Power Rangers Content I would recommend picking up a copy.

It is nice to hear that this isn't going to be a one and done for Lord Drakkon, "BOOM! Studios, under license by Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), today announced a brand new three-issue limited series POWER RANGERS: DRAKKON NEW DAWN, from writer Anthony Burch (Big Trouble in Little China: Old Man Jack) and artist Simone Ragazzoni (Odessa)."-Boom! Studios

Kyle Higgins delivered beyond my expectations. Rather, Higgins' greatest success is tonal, ridding the Rangers of their unintentional camp, delivering a series both brightly colored and yet clearly for the adults who grew up on such instead of their children or childhood selves. His is a depiction of high school life for those who've already undergone as much, rather than those anticipating their secondary schooling still. Too few franchises take this approach.

This is the best books so far connected to the Outlawed story-line. It had an agenda stuck to it, and then ended on a twist that will have me coming back.

This is the Miles Morales I can get behind. He is just a kid still trying to do the right thing. All the while occasionally taking some time for himself to do teenage stuff. Love it. The big thing is that we finally got away from the clone Saga mess. The dialogue is just as campy as I need a Miles Morales book to be. Even better there is a dialogue in the last story that strikes true and feels like Miles will come into his own.

I absolutely love the 'The Girl' franchise and Sylvia Runeberg is a talented writer, so I will give it one more issue, but so far Girl Who Danced With Death #1 failed to keep me intrigued.

I have said it before, that the parenthood issues that Tom King addresses in Mister Miracle you could fill at least a season of a TV series.

It was straight up witch on witch violence. The callbacks to some of the more commercially known witches was definitely appreciated. There is a really great easter egg panel, thats sort of a roster call for a who's who in the witching world, and some who may not have been so apparent. It is a shame that is only a one shot. Though there were indications toward the end of the book that Source Point may allow for some stories later on down the line. I hope that's definitely the case.

Weird is a difficult thing to aim for, and the execution is much harder if your audience knows where youre trying to wind up. That's what made it so impressive.

Overall this issue did what it was supposed to do. Catch the reader up, and tease the direction that Azzarello is going to go.

This first of Morbius issue is equal parts action equal parts exposition, as Morbius is portrayed as an ethically ambiguous super-powered being, who views his powers as a curse and would rather not have them.

I can imagine James Franco playing a movie role in this story. Also, there are touches of Tom Cruises Ethan Hunt here, but given the violence in their lives, I recommend the Rock and Vin Diesel. But I bet and would prefer if this would be translated into gameplay. This is not a deep psychological study. But it is decent and fun. It has action, but not the hyperkinetic activity that passes for action in too many stories. This is a comic about characters who have more important things to do than a character in an action thriller.Moth & Whisper #1 comes with two covers; Cover A Regular is drawn by Jen Hickman; while Cover B Variant is drawn by Jorge Corona.

r. Beaver, is just perfectly built for a Franchise opportunity, it just needs more work on the story to set it up for the future. I would love to see this as an animated feature of some sort. How long am I going to have to wait for a Mr. Beaver Action Figure? Is Mr. Beaver, a beaver or a Marmot? If he is a just a beaver, where are all the marmots?

The Daniel Warren Johnson's creative team does a bang-up job of delivering a fun heavy metal feel to the action scenes in the panels, though the initial self loathing was way too much. But the interior art is still quality. Thus far Murder Falcon could definitely find interest if it can keep up the Heavy Metal energy, and I could see this as sci-fi comedy.

The series as a whole has been great. So, if youre a My Little Pony enthusiast this is a must have issue.

It's been a while so I have totally forgotten what Nailbiter was about, but Nailbiter Returns #1 was so seamless that it was obvious what was important and each twist did have quite an impact on me. So kudos to the creative team on this one.

It is straightforward where Williamson wanted to go with this issue. It is a smooth transition away from the dangers of the Buckaroo Killers being the main threat, and know the bigger threat is one more competent and more motivated. Even more daunting is the general safety of working with the detectives has been removed.

This isn't really an issue that's prime for judgment, it really is all setup, and a lot of the material that was covered here has been covered in the series. What will keep me coming back to check out issue #2, is the promise that it will give further insight to what happened inside the prison.

I love some of the concepts inserted here, and though it is by no means a standalone book Scott Snyder did a solid job of setting this book up. I do think some the panels from the Darks Days Casting and Metal would have done a better job than some of the panels inserted here. There were a solid 7 panels that have now made me interested and wanting to read the second issue.

Let us be honest, there have been several significant changes, to what was originally promised for Krakoa. The reasoning behind why some of those promises don't make any sense. The changes are apparently a major source of stress, so the Quite Council found it best to give them something to do, like training.

Nightwing #47 is at once familiar in its fabric and forward-thinking in its attempt to push technology into Nightwing's world, with a combination of gritty live action and glossy splash panels. Its an ambitious mix that can be thrilling while it lasts, and yet it fails to linger for long afterward, leaving you wondering what its point is beyond validating the insularity of techno-nerd fandom. Nightwing #47 would have been a far more compelling comic if it had addressed the fantasy of the Ludite Fallacy that so many have these days at its center.

It still has that tactical street war vibe, but if you were a fan the boy in Batman's shadow, Dick Grayson and wanted him to stay the same forever then maybe you won't like this new direction. But if you're like me and enjoy the idea of him but just didn't feel his story line was being utilized correctly I would recommend picking up a copy of this issue.

Ninja Nuns #1 is Warrior Nun's, Prettier, funnier, and more educated sister.

Nocterra started off great but has been showing signs of slowing down.

"Oblivion #1" is moody, atmospheric and tense, and Anderson uses the absence of information to skillfully to build suspense and real fear. But at the end you walk out thinking, what's the point?

Oblivion Song #1 comes with 2 covers the cover A is by Lorenzo De Felici. The Cover B is also by Lorenzo De Felici but is a part of a limited-edition collectors set (Limited to 1,000 print) that also includes a 11 statue, an exclusive art print, and a collector's lapel pin and an exclusive foil stamp. If you plan on speculating on this title it might be worth your time to also pick up Walking Dead #176 which has an Oblivion Song preview that features the first appearance main character Nathan.

Once & Future #4 will come with two covers: The regular A cover is drawn by Dan Moira; then there is also a Forbidden Planet and Jetpack Comics Exclusive Variant cover drawn by David Lafuente.

It continues to tap into the myths and medieval romances, that are structured around a code of honor, conducted by flawed characters leading to misguided macho displays of chivalry, that often come back to haunt people. Leading to classic stories, from whom we are supposed to learn valuable lessons.

Side notes: Outer darkness is a place referred to three times in the Gospel of Matthew (8:12, 22:13, and 25:30) into which a person may be “cast out”, and where there is “weeping and gnashing of teeth”.

What interesting is that so far the diseases seem to have more character development than the people, and I can see why. Part of the reason is that most of the characters seem unable to resolve the problems is because they do not yet fully understand yet that they do not have the skills to deal with the biological forces working against them.

There are several panels that are indicative that this is definitely meant to be a movie script, with panels full of dialogue that don't really go anywhere, but once again the art saves the day.Paradise Court #2 comes with three covers; Cover A Riveiro; Cover B is drawn by Canaan White; Cover C is drawn by Alllan Otero.

Even though it took quite a license with technological reality, I am high on the story and the interior art for PATIENCE! CONVICTION! REVENGE #2

I wish Tieri had more time than 6 issues to develop this story. I appreciated that Tieri was trying to insert some Historical social justice issues into the comic, but there were several panels that I felt Tieri would have liked to illustrate his point in a little more detail, but suddenly had to move on, for the sake of moving the story along, Yet, I still want to pick-up the Book two whenever it starts.

The panels are very trippy. In fact, it reminds me very much of the art style used by Liam Sharp during the Dematteis run of Man-thing (1997). At time very bright, and at other time dark and grungy, to emote not only the sadness of a broken home, but at other times the eerie spookiness of the strange doll running around the house.

It hits hard. This is without a doubt Zenescope's darkest title yet. The attempt at comedic masks the dark nature of what's actually happening.

Final Verdict: Postal #5: Deliverance continues to push the story forward, toward what, I'm not sure, but its mystery stays entertaining. It should be noted that the time is on the clock for Postal. Hulu has plans for a live action television adaptation of Postal from Matt Tolmach and Legendary Entertainment, that has been in development since 2016.

Speculation:Currently in the Pipe Jeff Lemire has: Sweet Tooth season 2; Essex County; Black Hammer; and Gideon Falls. So it wouldn't be such a stupid bet to take a chance on Primordial #1 (OF 6) CVR I 100 COPY INCV Lemire because it kind of does have all three Animals on the cover.

There were so many factors that made this one was an easy decision: One of Marvel's best tactical street heroes, in the Punisher; written up by one of the best writers in the comic game. in Garth Ennis; give me an artist not afraid to show the impact of Punisher's style of wreaking havoc on some bodies; all this leave the reader to Follow bouncing bullets, and burning, bodies, and bullets Frank Castle has quite the mystery on his hands.

Woody continues to play the Wise Guy role is a jokester who answers the, wisecracks, and wackiness who fancies himself to be a social media star, only to find himself lonelier than before. Look Woody is of course setting up do something incredibly stupid, but what Daniel Kibblesmith and Artist Kano have managed to do in issue #1 already is lay down the groundwork that you can feel sympathetic towards his stupidity and you kinda of want to see if it works out for him.

The interiors by Ryan Browne have been meticulously drawn. There are a couple of splash pages that display how much love was put into this issue, but some of the hidden details that I am used to in quantum and Woody comics may have gone over my head.

I had to give this title an extra point just on the fact that I didn't need to go back and read previous issues. I was able to pick it up and get the gist of what was going on right away. The dialogue and the art was a pleasure to experience. I am definitely hoping to pick up the next issue to see if this creative team can keep up the pace.

Rat Queens is guilty pleasure that on the surface allows one to escape into a a world full of colorful female protagonist, that aren't afraid to crack the occasional crude joke, but subversively it is an exercise into a process of political sensitization that forces its readers through the on page confrontations to , contemplate, and assess their own political views.

Even though Red Border is to only be 4 issues Comic book and digital media publisher Artists Writers & Artisans (AWA) is set to launch titles under their Upshot imprint this March, featuring creator owned stories in a shared universe. The books will center on superheroes and genres outside the powered world, so that could mean that whatever happens in this book may have implications for the entire AWA universe going forward.

Red Hood Outlaw #37: Year Of The Villain Dark Gifts Tie-In will come in two covers; the Cover A was drawn by Regular Kenneth Rocafort Cover; Cover B was drawn by Variant Philip Tan Cover. A word of advice" even though Red Hood's print run is usually around 21,000 as of the writing of this review #37 is already sold out on-line at several comic shops, so don't expect that this will be available for Saturday Warrior if you haven't already reserved one.

I liked the acknowledgment in story that this stuff is not ever going to be mainstream. Though it is not 100% certain, I can think of a bunch of movies that proves that this would do well on the big screen; SAW Anthology, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the Hostel movies are just a few. As of this writing, bidding on the Cover D Peach Momoko (1:20), has reached triple on the secondary market.

The Art by Scott Hepburn was truly inspired by some nightmare inducing pharmaceuticals.

In Rick and Morty Go to Hell #1, Rick seems to deny all of it, which is puzzling for all the things we already know. The Art by Constanza Oroza does not perfectly emulate the show but it is still pretty good. I was a little disappointed that there weren't more Easter Eggs. The most important thing is that I am now intrigued, and can't wait for issue #2.

When I was done reading this I honestly had a lot of questions, but otherwise, it's just a solid issue and great series that is welcomed addition to the genre.

Suffice it to say I want to see this get adapted to a movie really bad its too good not to, and as much of a roll as Oni Entertainment has been , I know they can make it happen.

The resolution of the story was succinct yet anti-climatic.

It was also nice to see the reemergence of Xandra Neramani. Her Cameo and first appearance was in Mr. and Mrs. X #1, and 3.

Nobody will be talking about this book till it's too late, the art style is deceivingly cute and infers comedy, when actually there's some deep stuff happening here.

I recommend picking up a copy when it hits stores for the read and the speculation. Even though Scooby Apocalypse already has a cult following outside of normal comic readers thanks to the cartoon it should get action in the speculation game.

Overall there were some good elements in here that I eventually wanted to see, but not t right now. A lot of the stuff felt kinda crammed in, which resulted in a very difficult to detect narrative story structure, but I will allow it due to the fact that I can see what it is trying to set up. All that to say that this is a must pick-up. If you are a collector or speculator, you almost have to pick this up due to the impending events hinted at in this issue.

A big positive for me was that this felt like a really quick read. I am by no means an Andi Benton fan, but I will definitely be more interested If they can promise me that a sea symbiote is going to be a thing, and that this will be the book that will serve as an archive for the intricate details of the Klyntar.

Artist Stephen Green, put a lot of love into Sea of Stars #1, hitting it out of the park with some incredible detailed panels. I'll be shocked if he can keep up the pace through the rest of Volume #1. Sea of Stars #1 comes with 2 covers; CVR A GREEN, and the CVR B by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. There are some retail variants according to Jason Aaron.

Shadecraft, has a uniquely textured approach to its narrative. Which is why it nails so many aspects: to include the family coping mechanisms; how social media can be an ethical feedback guide; and how today's parents use technological Negative reinforcement as a parenting tool versus investigating if the child might need therapy. Like that solves anything.

Its a tough and complicated story that Diggle and Segovia have undertaken, but the payoff could be huge.

This comic is aimed for kids of the 90's, and if you were a 90's kid, and say you didn't like this book, I call you a liar and a self-hating weirdo. I did turn sour around the time that everything started to go well. It was a little to 90's for me. Now I I am left wondering what happened to them. Hopefully there will be a follow-up.

Over all easy read, and a standalone issue. Magical swords, and long lost relatives aren't my thing, but the way that information was dropped was interesting making this a must collectible for G.I. Joe Fan.

Simply put Tynion is putting on a clinic on how to integrate a sociopolitical issue with the proper gravitas while making it entertaining. You'll be hard pressed to find a more relevant title or intriguing title on the shelf this week.

Something Is Killing the Children #15, will have 2 covers: Cover A, Werther Dell'Edera; Cover B Michael Dialynas 1:25. The Cover B is great, but I am more hype for issue# 16 will have 4 incredible covers: Cover A, Werther Dell'Edera; Cover B, Jenny Frison; Cover C, Toni Infante(1:25); Cover D, Michael Dialynas (1:50).

It is just good clean fun, in that has caught my attention and good enough that I want to pick-up the 2nd issue in anticipation of whats to come. Many fans who grew up reading the Archie Sonic lamented the news of its end last summer. But this new version seems poised to treat the character okay.

All in all Sonic the Hedgehog #17 is a great filler to keep fans ha00y until the movie comes oiut in November. Speaking of the movie there are a few significant problems that fans of the franchise see that are likely to destroy Sonic's ability to do well at the box office. But they wont find that here, as Ian Flynn captures the fun and ridiculousness of the game.

This isnt a stand-alone issue; however the whole Dark Horror storyline (Spawn 276-282) was good, and has piqued my interest enough that I want to pick-up the 1st issue of the new Black Mirror character whenever it comes out. So, if youre an Image fan I would recommend picking up a copy of this issue.

If you are a Spawn reader this should get the salivary juices flowing in anticipation of where the title is headed. Big time writers coupled with big time artist can't hurt. Though I was hoping the Cyan would have showed up here, but most interesting is even though this is a big issue, apparent #301 is supposed to be even bigger and better if that's even possible. Well I for one can't wait.

The foreshadowing of the effects on the children, and the recognition that the children shouldn't be punished for the sins of the parent are another theme that caught my eye. Of course with all the usual arguments put together as they were nothing was poignant as the usually stoic Jessica Priest, non-fazed by anything until someone she was acquainted with was affected.

When all is said and done Spencer & Locke Vol 2 #1 feels more like a reminder of how Locke's world works. Nothing new to see here just more of David Pepose putting together a wicked issue again. (Hey if it works why mess around with it?)

Spider-Ham deserves his own comic and a more relevant role. So, if this it were it starts, I am fine with it. Peter Porker The Spectacular Spider-Ham #1 is a bit of a reminder that Spider-ham has his own universe, and it feels more like a roster call that a narrative so far.

I would definitely recommend picking up a copy of issues # 234 and 235 for the read, as it looks like they will be lead-ons into Spider-men #5 an issue that Bendis has indicated will be a major issue Out of 5 stars I give it a 4, in that it is good enough that I want to pick-up the 3rd issue in anticipation of whats to come.

Definitely impactful . There is a lot going on in this issue, but my favorite panels involved Qort as a baby. Just in one issue I feel like I've always known about Qort and can't wait to see more of what he can do.

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how Sex Criminals, gets chosen for adaptation but Stillwater has not. Stillwater #1, which still gets plenty of traffic at $10 raw and $65 slabbed. Another consideration is the Aaron Bartling Retailer exclusive variant ($45, and the 2 nd print).

This issue was quite the tearjerker. Will has set up a particularly challenging adventure, and it brings out the emotions from the gang. Especially, after the real-life adventure that they just went through. Captures the changing economic landscape of the 80's and ironically current real-life events as well.

The panels feel like a labor of love dedicated the Nine old Men, that used to draw some of Disney's best stuff during the Xerox Technology phase. The grungy look of the 101 Dalmatians is ever present with a mixture of straggly character lines and powdery backgrounds.

So, there is a recognition of the older material, but Frank Tieri & Ian Flynn want to steer that character's legacy in a different direction. I was hopeful that it is not in the same direction as Spider-Ham, but the appearance of a Nick Fury type character has squeezed that hope out of me.

Sure, it's fun and entertaining. I like a fun space adventure with a purpose. We continue down this side plot which is still interesting . The appearance of the Omega Men twist was fun but as someone who hasn't read that series, I was a bit lost. That all being said, There are some weird panel transition that I felt were kind of out-of-place but I was able to move past them rather easily.

The West Coast Avengers were never going to be up to the level of some the other super hero team-up. But here it feels right. It feels like that thing that was missing has suddenly been acquired, and I'm hoping that Marvel will find that it has enough going for it to steal away a few issues from something else.

Heres the deal, there were a lot of Easter eggs spread out through some of the panels from Watchmen lore that I just couldnt identify, that artist Barry Kitson took the time to draw really well and I cant help but speculate that some of the characters will play into future issues of the Doomsday Clock. Either way I cant wait to see how DC pulls of the prestige part of this story.

Story wise it was little tough to get the first 3 pages or so, but after that it was pure gold and highly entertaining. I am not even going to pretend like I understood everything that was going on or said but it was still good.

It really deserved a better cover. Otherwise it was probably one of the best Superman stories I've read lately , truly an outstanding read.

This issue had a strong focus on family, and the emotion fallout that snap judgments can have and the art team did a fantastic job of displaying those emotions of loss, confusions and having what was one lost returned to you.

Tom Taylor has added some romance to Jon Kent's life, but it feels clunky and shoe-horned in.

Andy Kubert delivers some detailed and beautiful art throughout the issue. There is a Frank Miller-ish quality to the art; however I feel cheated on the boxing panels with Mighto. There seems to a lost opportunity to delivers some iconic art here Clayton Cowles' choices of blending the lettering into the story were interesting, and didn't always works well and were sometimes confusing. It doesn't take away from anything happening on the page but sometimes the errant narrator dialogue didn't really add to the reading experience either.

In total there are about 80 pages of great stuff. The first 40 pages contain the story. The subsequent pages contain panels and art work, and part of the script that was meant for the originally planned mini-series; however, the issue as a whole was great. So, if youre a Swamp Thing or horror fan I would recommend picking up a copy of this issue.

The character design are still a work in progress, so I won't hold that against it yet, because you can tell a lot of love went into this book: The detailed narrative; the the complex geopolitical background; the world building; the literary techniques that keeps everything a mystery, yet makes every detail important; and most importantly, the detailed artwork makes Tarturus one of the most interesting read I had so far in this short year.

Suspense filled writing by Johnnie Christmas and great art by Jack Cole are the anchors for this issue. Cole has driven the story to a tricky place though: the first issue of TarTarus it had an identity as a family centered story, with galactic scale implications; In issue #2 it is now an action packed personal journey filled with pirates and smugglers. Hopefully, Tildes legacy won't just be tossed aside and thus its uniqueness otherwise it's just another space saga.

I hestitate to call it a story because there is no story. Just panel to panel head smashing bloody filicide action.

As loyal readers wait in anticipation to the Final March to the Last Ronin, TMNT #109 brings to the table meaningful socio-political dialogue in an entertaining way that I didn't see coming. The art by Jodie Nishijima adequate but the cover art is outstanding and definitely draws the eye.

The premier issue was entertaining. But more importantly IDW has shown us that issues like these could eventually turn into something of value later. Jennika's premier issue it is more of a tour Mutant town, and how the citizens are getting along. Making their first appearance in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Jennika #1: Vincent the Rabbit; and Silas a character from Jennika's past.

We all know it is only a time before Jennika makes its animation of Live Action. So, picking up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #95 (2019) is the play. Not only do you want to pick up issue #1, but this one has a lot of 1st appearances as well. A factor in how fast this gets picked up could hinge on the upcoming series Jupiter Legacy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder In Hell Directors Cut #1 will have just one cover; But the original had some incentive variants as well as str Kevin Eastman Shredder In Hell #1 Exclusive IDW Limited Cover! Kevin Eastman has signed and remarked 99 copies of this special IDW Limited cover! Only 500 made! There also was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder in Hell #1 Dell'Otto variant sold by Scorpion comics.

Featuring some terrific visuals, fluid panels, and a cast of interesting characters, highlighted by a terrifying background. The Last Ronin would have been can be called a gem in the rough, if only it did not have so much hype around it. If does not waste any time trying to build momentum preferring to dive in on the action, and world build at the same time.

Out of 5 stars I give it a 3.5. It is a tough and complicated story that Allor has undertaken but the payoff could be huge.
