This issue is more lighthearted than a lot of Batman stories we’ve seen. Snyder has showed us even more of his talents, and takes us on another crazy series with the one and only Batman. For fans of Snyder’s work and Batman as a whole, this is a must-read issue. You’re going to get a taste of Batman like never before, and I promise you’ll like it!

This is a great start to a promising series. Dylan has given us the history of how he became the murderous man he is today, and I can’t wait to see how Dylan handles his life from this point on. With a creative team like this, Kill or be Killed is a must-read.

This is a great issue that definitely helps define the society at the given time period. Fred's family is expanding, his friendships are strengthening, and his relationship is solidifying. For any fan of The Flinstones, this is the ultimate throwback to give you all the warm fuzzy feelings that nostalgia has to offer.

This is a great series for anyone interested in the macabre. Norman is a series that will disturb you and still be able to tug on your heartstrings. This is a delightfully eerie story of one boy that is daring to be himself in a world of normalcy. Pick it up at your local comic book shop and enjoy the gory awesomeness that is Norman!

This is a great comedic sci-fi series that is appropriate for fans of both genres. Jeff isn’t a man of many talents, so it’ll be interesting to see how he handles being Earth’s champion. Everyone thinks he is going to fail so far, so I’m really hoping the underdog (Jeff) can prove all the haters wrong. We’ll have to keep reading to see if he does!

This is a great issue to add to the second Red Team series. Eddie and Trudy are in charge of quite the case, and they have a plan. Implementing that plan, however, might not be as easy as they thought. Keep up with this series to see if they can make sense of this case and get Eric off the hook!

For any Sons of Anarchy fan, this is a must-read issue that is leading off a really good series that will make a lot of what you’ve seen thus far make a lot of sense. New readers: it helps to know a bit about the characters before reading, but it’s not necessary to enjoy the story. Either way, I recommend keeping up with this series to see what trouble these goons get themselves into next!

For any Bob's Burgers fan, you'll know that this story isn't like the TV show in that it is really "out there." The TV show is a more realistic show in terms of concept. It deals with everyday situations"not being able to pay your bills, going to school, running a business, being a parent, etc. the kids are eccentric, but the comic book series always takes things a step further. So, fans of the TV show will be in for a nice treat when the three kids get into even more crazy antics here than on the TV. I definitely recommend this issue for any and all fans of Bob's Burgers"especially people like me, whose spirit animal is the one and only Louise Belcher.

This is a great start to what I expect will be an amazing series. Bennett is on my top 10 writers list, so I have no doubt that she’ll answer all our questions in due time. To comic lovers and animal lovers alike, you’ve got to give this issue a read.

For any crime buffs, fans of gore, or slasher lovers, this series was made for you. Right now I’m at the edge of my seat waiting to see what will happen next issue. Will the stranger turn Josie in? Will he run scared? Will he join her? Who knows?! All I know after reading this issue is that I want more!

I’m a huge fan of the motion picture, The Haunted Mansion. This series has absolutely nothing to do with that and, in my review of issue #1, I was kind of bummed about that because I wanted to stick to the roots of the original story. Now that I’ve read through the entire miniseries, I’m actually really glad that the story wasn’t anything like the film. This is a fresh take on an old story that some of us grew up with. The creative team has done an amazing job and, if possible, I would love to see this become an ongoing series. I’m not, by any means, saying that there will be one (I don’t know and haven’t heard anything), but hey, I can dream. For now, read this series if you want to be thoroughly entertained by a scary-but-fun story about a kid who has one Hell of an adventure with some seriously awesome ghosts.

This is a great story for any fantasy genre fans out there. The creation of new worlds has always interested us, whether it’s in Star Wars, Avatar, Battleworld, or something else. It’s a difficult thing to master, but Ha has done a fine job of making this adventure purposeful, interesting, and fun. Keep reading to see if Mae and Abbie can save their father!

This series is a great read for any horror fanatic or even conspiracy theorist. A hint of paranoia will set in after reading each issue, but rest assured, it’s a healthy dose. Black-Eyed Kids isn’t as scary as it is unnerving, which is often times a lot better than straight up horror. This series is an amazing read, and I recommend it for anyone (of age) to check out as soon as possible.

This issue puts our protagonist cats in a lot of different fun, interesting, and possible destructive situations. This series shows the felines some real adventure, and it’s a blast to read. For any cat lovers and/or Grumpy Cat fans, this issue is a must-read.

For any fan of Giant Days, this is a great issue that lets us examine each character individually. It's actually really fun to see them apart from each other. This gives Allison room to work on some more characterization. Any and all students and fans of plain old good storytelling will appreciate this book. It comes out this Wednesday, August 3rd, so head to your local comic book shop to pick up a copy for yourself!

This is a great issue to start off a series that is going to be full of adventure and intrigue. Our protagonist is, thus far, really interesting. His intelligence resonates really well, and is almost mesmerizing. The creative team on this series has done an amazing job so far, and I can't wait to see where things go from here! Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has dominated the NBA world, and now he's making his way to comics. We welcome you with open arms, and are eager to see what creative genius you have to offer. In closing, friends, read this book; you won't be disappointed.

Any Tank Girl fan will enjoy this issue and series overall. The adventure, action, and crazy antics are truly something to love. This series will take you places you can’t go in real life, to give you a small break from reality. I’m not saying this criminal life is something to look up to, but exploring the world sure is. I fully recommend this issue to any and all fans of a good story, great artwork, and an overall fun read.

While you don’t necessarily have to have read the first “season” of this series, it does help to understand things a bit more, especially why Eddie and Trudy act the way they do/why they’re given crappy jobs on the task force. It’ll be really interesting to see how they both conduct this new case they’ve taken over. This is a great way to start the new series; I’m really excited that Eddie and Trudy are back and just as awesome as they were in the first series of Red Team. Ennis is sure to give us some nice plot twists, turns, surprises, and action. Keep reading to see what kind of mayhem these two NYPD cops get themselves into!

This is a really fun read with a lot of action, drama, and a hint of teen angst. The SVS are left wondering what to do next with their lives. Whatever it is, I’m sure McDermott will make it well worth reading about. For now, the suspense mounts!

This is definitely a series to check out. I’m not usually into such superficial content, but this story has caught my attention and held onto it. I fully recommend you all at least give the first issue a chance and see if you like it. I, for one, will be keeping up with the series to tell you all what kind of antics Lottie gets into—especially now that she is sitting in a bathroom with Caroline, who is unconscious, to say the least.

Archer and Armstrong are onto their next adventure, of which I have no idea what to expect—but I know it’s going to be worth reading. As for this issue, it was great to explore Archer more and see how he acts away from Armstrong. For fans of both A&A and Faith, this is the perfect issue for you!

There is a fair bit of background detail, adding to the realism of the story. Overall, though, the artwork isn’t too realistic. The entire issue has a mysterious tone to it, like we’re supposed to be waiting for something disastrous to happen. Following this unorthodox family as they live their everyday lives is actually quite interesting, given the scope of different personalities and characterizations. Things are only going to get more exciting, though, when the secret of their location and identities is threatened. The suspense is killing me! Read along to see how these heroes handle the next part of their lives together as a team.

This is a really great series so far. I’m looking forward to seeing how George takes advantage of his newest invention. It sucks to see corporate companies competing, just because we sort of see that every day, but this series takes things to a personal level—so it’s more interesting than the everyday corporate tomfoolery (that is usually more than just the “tomfoolery” on the surface). Above all else, I hope we get some serious character development out of George. With Ryan’s writing, I’m sure it’s not far off now.

This is a great issue that brings the gang back together for another nearly impossible endeavor to save the town, more or less. It should be really interesting to see how Betty and Veronica deal with their clashing viewpoints. Hopefully, Pop’s can still benefit from their fighting. This is a great way to start the series, even though "Frankenstein" in the title is really misleading. I'm really excited to see how the story turns out, seeing as we left the characters being mauled by Mothman. Liesel will make it out, I'm sure"she's the title character. It'll be cool to see just how much fighting she can handle. Keep reading to see what happens!

This is a great addition to the series. This issue was just one big joke to pile on the existing humor of the issue. Stories like this one are fun, and show us a lot more when it comes to characterization—we learn more about Rocket’s past. This is a great issue for any Avengers fan. It is more towards the cartoonish side (I mean, it was taken from a cartoon show), so it doesn't have as much dramatic/aesthetic appeal as other Avengers books I've seen. Sabrina, the Teenage Witch is something I’ll never forget. It’s something I grew up with, and am still growing up with. To see it being transformed from comic to live action TV show to animated TV show to film and spin off comic books is something so profound that I can only explain it as something I am truly thankful for and honored to see happen. I didn’t write these comics and scripts; I wasn’t a part of the production of these stories, but with a character like Sabrina, I feel like I am a part of it. She isn’t just a character, she’s someone I know—a friend. I have a lot of questions after reading this issue. We see a few references to Dean’s father, who is in prison. Why is he there? Does is have to do with Dean? Did Dean grow up without a dad? I’m really curious about his family, so I hope we get to see that. What about Kimiko? How did they meet? How long have they been together? Is Abby going to get between them? Why are so many people after Dean? There is so much to touch on, but the creative team will, I’m sure, make things a bit more understandable for us. For now, though, pick up this issue from your local comic shop, and keep up with this awesome story!

This issue doesn’t give us anything too new in the series. We’re still looking at the Punisher vs Daredevil, and they’re both still trying to kill/save Antonov. However, Blindspot sort of comes to the forefronts of this issue, which is really awesome. This is a series for any Punisher or Daredevil fan. There’s action, fighting (maybe too much fighting without any pay out), chasing, and the freaking S.W.A.T. Team! What’s going to happen?!

This is a great tie-in to Marvel’s summer event that is Civil War II. I’m stoked to see how everything fits together. I actually hope we see more of Damage Control. The only thing that throws me off about this issue is the cover. We have Iron Man, Captain Marvel, the Hulk, Deadpool, Captain America, She-Hulk, the Vision, and all the big heroes that you all know about—but they are nowhere in the issue. The few times they appear, it’s only for a panel or two at a time. That’s a bit deceptive, but the issue is worth a read.

This is a good series overall, but so far it is simply paraphrasing the film’s script. For anyone who hasn’t seen the film, this might be entertaining. But for those of us who have, it gets a little monotonous. I’m really hoping that Wendig puts some original concepts and themes into the storyline, because this series desperately needs it. Nonetheless, this series is well worth the read for any Star Wars fan. It tells a very important story of the search for Luke Skywalker. The Resistance and the First Order are going to have some beef, so you’d best stick around to see when and how it goes down!

This is a really simple issue that really doesn’t contribute all too much to the overall story arc. The only thing that might move things forward is when Ashley says she might go back to the B.P.R.D. For anyone who likes action/fantasy/comedic comic books, I fully recommend this series. Next issue, we see Archer and a familiar character from another series, Faith! Keep reading to see what the heck that’s all about.

This series has taken quite a few twists and turns, and it’s bound to take a lot more. Now that Gert is free, Fairyland is sure to go through a lot of mayhem. However, Gert seems really focused on getting home, so she might not do as much damage as she has previously done. Whichever it is, I’m excited to see Gert loser her way and Larry get fed up with her.

This is a really great group of misfits. They seem like the most genuine, sincere, and honest people (and it’s sad that the outcasts are the ones that seem sincere and cops seem like jerks) that I would love to befriend. We love Tank Girl, we’re invested in her life, and we want her to succeed. Now that the group is back together, they’re bound to get into some crazy situations, and I can’t wait to read about them! For an action series sprinkled with a lot of humor, this series is definitely the way to go.

So far, this series has grabbed my attention and holds it with a tight grasp. I don’t know where Sebastian came from, or what his real goal is in taking over a human’s life, but I’m excited to find out. The end of this issue is a butt-load of monsters and Sana getting jumped where Sebastian has led her. I have tons of questions, but I’m sure Van Lente will answer them in due time. This issue is a really impressive book that shows just how talented the creative team is. For any and all horror fans, get hip to it!

This is a great horror series. It isn’t just a paranormal story or a slasher or anything typical like that. Tomasi really takes his time with this series, letting everything slowly unfold and flourish into the story on the page. If you’re looking for a sophisticated horror story, this is it!

This is a cute story that any and all SMOSH fans should read. You don’t need to have read issue #1 to understand the bulk of issue #2. If you’re looking for a laugh, look no further!

This is a great issue to start off the series. American Mythology Productions is really bringing about nostalgia for a lot of us with this and The Three Stooges. This series is, for that matter, going to appeal to a lot of adults. Our childhoods are coming back to life! The great thing about these kinds of stories (that don't rely on previous installments for reader comprehension) is that anyone can read them. So, while we adults will have a blast reliving our youth, children today can just as easily enjoy these stories with us. This is most definitely worth the read.

For any fan of Aliens, Predator, or Prometheus, this series is a must-read. It is set in a certain time, so it helps to have watched the movies, but you don’t need to in order to understand the premise. This is going to be a great sci-fi series; these Marines are bound to get into some trouble with this god-like creature walking around, and I can’t wait to see how they handle it.

I’m waiting for Robin to go head to head with the Sheriff of Nottingham.  There isn’t too much suspense just yet, so I’m really hoping that Rodi gives us a reason to be interested in these characters. I want to want them to win. This is a modern story set in an older time period. It’s a really great concept, and I can’t wait to read more!

I’m really excited to read the rest of this story arc. Zdarsky and Charm make a really good creative team, and I have no doubt that they can make this arc as magical as we all remember Archie to be. Keep reading to see Archie and Jughead get eaten by a bear (maybe)!

This series is definitely going to be something good. Chaykin’s work is always a joy to read because it often times requires more than just reading words and looking at pictures; it makes you think about why he placed everything in the positions they are in. Ryan and Marquez are back working together on another amazing Joyners storyline. Watching the realistic nature of these characters is breathtaking. There isn’t a lot of detail or extraneous facets to this issue, and I’m hoping the rest of the series is the same way. For anyone who is looking to delve into the human condition, this series is definitely for you. Beyond that, if you can respect great writing and really telling artwork, you can’t pass this issue up.

This story makes me want to be at the Isle of Hope. The weather, the people, the beauty, the scenery, the samurais! This is overall a great issue of the series. It clearly ties up any loose ends and has a very happy ending for our young protagonists. We got to see all three of them grow to understand themselves and work with each other. This is a really entertaining series with a lot of heart.

This issue is the start of a series that I think is going to be really successful—at least really entertaining. It is going to be quite a dramatic one, and I am so ready to learn the secrets that Brady is hiding from the public. If you are, too, pick up this issue and read along!

This series has been really entertaining thus far. A bunch of historical figures have gotten together to see what went on before the Spanish-American War (of course, they don’t know the war is going to happen just yet). This is an awesome concept and a brilliant way to showcase some history that people aren’t necessarily aware of. For any history buff and adventure comic lover, this series is a must-read.

The point of this series isn’t to relive the TV show, but to use the TV show as a base to create new, original stories. The writers and artists on this series come up with some seriously entertaining stories. Regardless of how it fits in with the TV show, these are good stories that showcase the perfect characterization that has been done by the scriptwriters for the show. This is another great issue to add to a series that takes our favorite animated show a bit further. This is definitely a must-read for any Bob’s Burgers fan.

In short, this issue is a great way to start off a really weird-but-cool series. Again, it’s not for people who are easily offended. You’ve got to be able to stomach the imaginative ways that children come up with to kill people, as well as some sociologically stereotypical jokes. If you can handle that much, this series is going to be really entertaining. Silas has done an awesome job creating some disturbingly funny material, and I cannot wait to see more.

Bunn is the perfect choice for a series like this, given his background in horror stories (most recently with Harrow County). This is a great take on an old-time video-game movie, and I can’t wait to see what new changes Bunn decides to make. Right now, things are looking like a stereotypical slasher film, but knowing Bunn, we’ll get some really insane twists in subsequent issues. Paying homage to ‘80s and ‘90s slasher flicks, Bunn writes a story of an unstoppable killer. For anyone who enjoys a good horror book, you’ve got to get your hands on this issue, coming out on June 1st from Lion Forge Comics!

This whole series feels like some sophisticated horror writing to me. Bunn doesn’t stick to slashers and poltergeists, because we’ve seen all that before. Instead, we get a multi-pronged, sub-texted story with a lot of elements within it: the concept of the “outsider,” the acceptance of one’s family, constant judgment, community service, respect for our elders, etc. The list goes on and on! This is truly what sophisticated horror is all about, and I come to love it more and more with every issue.

So far, this series isn't anything more than literally some kids with black eyes walking around town, but I have high hopes that it'll turn into an enthralling story. This is going to be a good new horror series and, I don't know about you, but I can't wait to read the rest of it!

The creative team on this series has done an amazing job creating an atmospheric, dark, eerie tone. For someone who loves horror as much as I do, this is the kind of place I would want to move into. The mansion’s detail, from brick foundation to decorative wallpaper, looks creepily fantastic. The characters look detailed and emotive, the storyline just took a big twist that I didn’t see coming, Jean-Francois Beaulieu’s colors make this issue so vibrant and inviting, and I cannot recommend this series enough. It isn’t what I thought it would be—having seen The Haunted Mansion film—but it’s an entirely new, interesting, and entertaining story that is definitely worth the read for any horror fanatic.

This issue doesn’t have too much exchange of dialogue, but it says way more than words could. We get to see Abe in new territory (even though it’s a familiar place). The creative team has done an absolutely fantastic job with this issue. In a word, it’s beautiful. Every Hellboy/Abe Sapien fan needs to read this.

Any Moon Knight fan needs to check this series out. For anyone who doesn’t know Moon Knight, it’s okay. This is still an amazing story, told in almost poetic prose and beautiful illustrations. If I wasn’t already a Moon Knight fan, this issue would make me one. I fully, with every fiber of my being, recommend this book to all of you.

It has been entertaining to watch Takeo find his brother, and it'll be even more so to watch Takeo fight for the village against another really skilled samurai. Both of them barely show any emotion, so it's going to be awesome to see how they each handle the pressure. If you're looking forward to it as much as I am, keep reading to see what happens!

This team of heroes is really goofy. The members have petty fights with each other about things that don’t really matter. When they actually have a mission to complete, they are easily distracted by things that have no relevance to the task at hand. Although they’re barely heroes at all, it’ll be interesting to see them take on a case as big as this, where they need to save Harley Quinn. Will they ever get Harley back? Keep reading to find out!

This is a really great issue to add to the series. Bernice’s character is really starting to become independent, and it’s brilliant to see her life aside from her friendship with Emmy. Now she has started a whole new journey of learning Lady Lovey’s “profession.” This story is about to get really interesting. For any and all horror fans, this series is one you just can’t skip out on. The creative team does an amazing job with all aspects of the story; trust me, you will be entertained and enthralled.

This is some of Tomasi’s best work to date. This is an intensely atmospheric, dark, horrific, macabre, and almost philosophical comic book. This is an amazing issue that helps set up what will be the finale to the series. There is drama, action, surprise, intrigue, and so much more. I am more than ready for the next issue. This is most definitely the best issue yet. It’s raw, emotional, telling, and just plain brutal. This series only has one issue left, so if you aren’t caught up, now is the time to read up and figure the story out. The kids are in a bad position now, so it’ll be interesting to see if/how they get themselves out (or if Holmes himself saves them). Something seems a little fishy with Holmes’ landlady; I don’t quite trust everything she says, so I really hope we get to see more of her. Lastly, the Golems are pretty cool looking. I’m not sure why an army is being built, but I’m actually stoked to see that army in action. This is one of the rare times I actually hope the villain gets to accomplish his goal (at least for a second). It doesn’t look like this series is slowing down any time soon, so make sure to keep up and see what happens!

Each of these stories has some element of magical realism, which isn't really what the show is about. The show was meant to reflect everyday life and the struggles/joys we experience therein. This series keeps getting better and better. The plot has just taken a HUGE twist, and I am beyond excited to see where Millar takes things. Of course, I’ll always be on Huck’s side. Tom sucks. That being said, this issue is one of the best yet. If you haven’t gotten into this series, now is your chance! Start reading before we delve really deep into the plot.

This is the start to what I expect will be an awesome series. I’m definitely on Anthony’s side, but I don’t know how long that will last. Something isn’t right with that kid, and I’m itching to find out what it is.

This series brings up two very important but often overlooked issues: War and mental illness. They are not always together but, when they are, it gets you right in the heart. The creative team has done an amazing job with the first issue, and Baron’s writing is bound to bring up even more controversial and stereotyped concepts to talk about. So, if you’re interested in these concepts, this book was made for you. This is a very solid first issue, and I can’t wait to read more!

This issue is a really good one, but isn’t anything too special or distinctive. Even if it isn’t the most unique comic, it’s still a good one. There is humor, exaggeration, sci fi realness, and a design that sticks to the original Zim. It’s definitely worth the read for any and all Invader Zim fans.

Bottom line is, this series is going to be good. It seems a little weird, but that’s the point. Jonesy isn’t a Wonder Woman or a She-Hulk; she’s freaking Jonesy, man—she’s in her own category of super powered human. She seems like the kind of kid I would befriend in middle school, so I am stoked to go on this journey of a series with her, expecting great things.

This series is a good way to keep fans busy until Deus Ex: Mankind Divided comes out. As of now, I'm not feeling too much of a connection with the characters, but I'm hoping that'll change. I want to feel emotionally invested in them, but it's just not happening. That issue aside, this issue is an amazing start to a filler series. It has a lot of action, a lot of violence, and an interesting storyline. For any fan of the video games, you've got to check this out. For anyone else, it's worth a read to get into the story.

I have no idea where Gunter is, but hopefully these wizards can help Ice King out. I always liked Gunter. He can be a pushover, sure, but he’s adorable. Maybe the Ice King can stop thinking about himself long enough now to find him. As of now, he’s too into his new style and fitting in with his new friends. I have no doubt, though, that he is on the right track and will find Gunter soon enough. This is a great issue to add to an already amazing series in a very successful franchise. Definitely worth the read for any and all Adventure Time fans.

This is really a very silly and fun issue. There are some really dramatic moments that help balance out the humorous and histrionic plot. I’m stoked to see how this adventure goes. There are elements of horror in it, too, so I’m looking forward to any and all plot twists that happen in Hell. For any Bill & Ted fan, this is most definitely a must-read series.

This is one of the best horror series out there right now. It’ll make you actually think, instead of simply showing gory illustrations page after page; I can respect that. It’s intricate, unique, dark, twisted, and perfect. For anyone looking out for something new and/or in the horror genre, look no further.

This issue is a great addition to the series. Anything involving time travel is okay by me (I’m still working on the wormhole possibility). This series definitely has the potential to be great. It has an interesting premise, but Barbiere does little to make us actually care about Dejah. Guy’s caption boxes let us know exactly what he is thinking, and a lot of it reigns true for anyone who has experienced depression. We look back a lot, instead of to the future. We dwell. We let it get the best of us. Thankfully, that changes up a bit in this issue. My point is, Lindsay really understands and portrays depression in a truthful light. It gets a lot worse than what we have seen, but I’m glad it’s at least being shown. It doesn’t make us “crazy,” but simply a little different (in a bad way, unfortunately). Either way, this is a damn good issue that adds to an already amazing series. Trust me, you’ll love it.

This issue alone is relatable to a lot of us—having so much work to do and pulling all-nighters to get it all done, breaking up with the “love of your life,” being too tired to pay attention in class, and having an amazing support system to carry you through it all. This is an incredible issue to add to a truly touching series, and I suggest you all get hip to it!

I’m pretty stoked for this new Figment series. I actually hope that Capri, Figment, and Spark have to go through dreamscapes just like the Dreamfinder did. As much as it would be sort of what we saw in the first Figment series, it’ll be interesting to see how Capri handles it, as opposed to how the Dreamfinder did. I can’t wait for more!

I have been a fan of the new Airboy series from issue #1. Greg and James create this series so perfectly, while in direct coordination with one another. The series brings back the old story of Airboy, while the creative team puts a modern and semi-autobiographical spin on it. This is definitely worth a read (for anyone over 18). I don’t care what genre you’re into or what you’ve heard about Airboy; I recommend it to each and every one of you, with the highest of regards.

It’s safe to say that I’m beyond impressed with this premiere issue of this intense series. This is a sensitive topic, unfortunately, so Aaron and Guera are sort of walking on eggshells while they portray such a sacred book. Honestly, I actually hope we get more than just a comic book rendering of the Bible. Whether or not you’re religious, this is a must-read book!

It isn’t easy to provide a complete narrative without any words, but Delgado does it, and does it well. If you haven’t read this series, you’re missing out.

This miniseries has been a joy to keep up with. It’s a really intense and unique storyline that creates a whole new type of enemy. How cool is that?! Freaking zombies and robots; I can’t get over it. But once again, the heroes triumph. Well, it’s up for debate. Ultron and his army took a hit, but the heroes took an even bigger one, I think. Either way, this is one really awesome issue, and a great way to close out the series.

This is a really good one-shot. There are a few things that don’t add up, but they don’t affect the plot too much at all. There’s a lot of action and a lot of female power. If you’re looking for a book that packs a whole lot of punch, look no further.

This issue isn’t as good as the first one, but if you’re into fast paced humor, this has a lot of it! The plot is going by very slowly, so hopefully Cornell can give us a little more meat to push the plot next time. For the time being, we have a very silly, funny, and enjoyable story.

Spider-Gwen is one of many of Marvel's female superheroes, and it's great to see her back in action. I'm hoping we get to see more of this Vulture, and of course I'm on Gwen's side when it comes to proving herself to the cops. Overall, this is a solid issue. It was really fun to read, and it left us a great cliffhanger to keep thinking about until the next issue.

It’s going to be really cool to see Deadpool and Thanos work together. I was kind of looking forward to the two of them battling it out for Death’s love, but a tag team with them doesn’t sound too bad, either. With Deadpool’s fast moves and Thanos’ raw power, this series is bound to have some memorable moments. Keep reading to find out how these two work together!

This is a really fun, imaginative all ages series. You don’t necessarily have to read the first series to understand this series, but there are times when you’ll wish you had. Issue #1 proves to be a really entertaining book that will have you rooting for Dreamfinder and Figment. We’re starting what looks like a really fun journey, so start reading this gem of a series!

I am definitely glad I read this issue, and I'm looking forward to more of Plutona already. The people at Image don't seem to ever rest, putting out comic after comic. This is one of the newer ones, and I hope it gets time to be properly fleshed out. So far we have some suburban kids just hanging out. Having been raised in the suburbs, I understand their pain of monotony. But they finally get some adventure. Who knows where it'll take them? Wherever it is, I'm eager to go with them!

This is definitely an issue to check out if you're a Spawn fan, a horror/sci-fi fan, or just a fan of good comic books. The creative team do a fantastic job of keeping this issue entertaining and enthralling. It kept my attention the whole way through, which is something that rarely happens (and not just because of my ADHD). If you haven't read any Spawn yet, what are you waiting for?

I’m excited to see where Jordan will take this series next. Hopefully we’ll see No back on his feet soon enough. For the time being, I’m actually okay with delving deeper into Jack’s character, as well as seeing what the Professor is capable of. This is turning out to be one Hell of a series. Keep reading to see what happens!

This issue is a great installment in the Lando series. Soule and Maleev make a really great team, and produce this issue with a ton of creativity and imagination. This is definitely one to check out if you’re even remotely a Star Wars fan.

This is, surprisingly, a Secret Wars tie-in. We don't see any reference to Battleworld, their domain, or God Doom, and I really like that. Honestly, I'm a little sick and tired of hearing about all that. It's refreshing to see a story take place in that world, without referencing the mainstream titles or characters. Ennis does an impressive job of making this issue humorous rather than offensive, adding in the tropes and Amazonian stereotypes we know. Even so, this script would be nothing without Braun's truly amazing artwork. It has movement, emotion, naturalness, action, and comedy, all in one issue. This isn't an issue (and a series) that you want to miss.

This is a brilliant issue, in terms of both writing and art. I am so excited to see where Burnham and Culver are going to take this series. It’s getting really intense right now, so whatever they have planned to wrap up this series is going to be brutal!

This is, overall, a wonderful issue. The plot still isn’t going anywhere that I can see, but it’s a good issue in terms of writing style and definitely artistically. The series will be concluded next issue, and I am beyond curious to see how the creative team wraps things up. I’m hoping for something great!

This series is getting better and better. Next issue will end the series, so I’m really curious as to where it can go from here. I know we’re going to get an epic battle, but I’m not sure what’ll come beyond that. Either way, I’m excited!

This series has taken us on quite the ride. The Secret Wars we knew. Technically, it all makes sense. Someone simply wished that Deadpool be forgotten. But then again, how much can we trust Deadpool’s retelling of events? It’s up to you to decide what you believe. All I know is this was one Hell of a miniseries, and I am even more of a Deadpool fan than I was before!

This series is picking up with plenty of good and entertaining material. This issue served as a way to get us to understand/trust John Flood. From now on, hopefully we can stay focused on the serial killer. Although, catnapping is fun to read about, too. There was no animal cruelty or anything gruesome of that nature, so this issue was a good read. Jordan is doing a magnificent job of developing these characters and making them work well together in the process. I’m already itching for issue #3!

Overall, this issue is a great introduction and start to the series. Scott takes us right into the action, and we even get to see battle! From what I can tell, this is a very promising series—and not just because it’s based off of a world-famous play.

This series was a really good idea, pitting Cap against Iron Man, and fan against fan. Each issue’s cover has the question, “Whose side are you on?” on it, and it’s a valid question at that. If you’re not already reading the series, it’s about time.

This issue is a one-shot, but I really, REALLY hope it turns into an ongoing series at some point. This is a comic book I could get behind. It takes some intense corporations and turns their members into human beings, every day folks. It’s an amazingly funny book about the life of a normal guy, who just happens to be a part of a villainous organization.

All in all, this issue is a good addition to the series. The artwork is definitely its strongest aspect, but in its entirety, it’s a solid issue. I’m hoping that the climax to this story arc is really good, given all the exposition that we’re getting. Keep reading to see what happens!

It’s really interesting to watch Claudius make every decision that he does. It’s a weird form of really good characterization. This and Ziritt’s artwork grab attention like crazy! This issue adds a whole lot of awesome to the series. It's innocent, funny, and filled with action. It has just a hint of horror, but it's appropriate for all ages. I didn't think Plants vs. Zombies would make too great a comic book, but this series is a good one so far!

This is a very promising series that has a lot more history and beauty to come. This issue is a pretty good one. There isn’t a lot of character development (just a little). Reyn and Seph have something good going, which I hope stays. There are hidden messages in the writing and artwork. The protagonist is a Lovecraftian character who goes against Lovecraft’s beliefs. He’s writing a book that takes him to a place with fish-people. Alan freaking Moore writes this series. I don’t think I have to tell you to read this issue/series, but I’m going to go ahead and do it anyway. We now have characters that are getting closer with each other (James and Airboy’s in-depth conversation), and new levels of characters that we haven’t yet seen. Airboy is exhibiting not only anger, but revenge. James even cries in this issue because he thinks he is bipolar, but he’s too scared to be medicated. From a medicated bipolar person’s standpoint, the tears are understandable. Mythic isn’t for the scientifically-inclined or close-minded. For those of you who like mythology, magic, and fiction, this series is definitely up your alley. It has recently become a new obsession of mine, and I think it should be yours, too. Then we can talk about how awesome it is on ComicWow.com, our nerdy natural habitat. We’re only on issue #3, so you have plenty of time to catch up. Enjoy!

There are some crazy images in this book that I haven’t seen utilized so well in a long, long time. Not to mention the suspense in this series is almost too much to handle! I like to think it’s just some really good storytelling, and I’m not that impatient. Either way, there is still so much good to come with this series. I am looking forward to more plot twists and breathtaking illustrations.

Needless to say, I'm a fan. I love everything about this book, right down to the footnotes which, by the way, are an excellent touch that would do you well to look up as you read this series. It's intellectually written, cleverly illustrated/colored, and brilliantly spread to the masses. Come at this series with an open mind, and prepare for all the awesome to come.

I’m stoked to see where this series goes. We’ve got one mystery solved, and a lot more we need to figure out. Hogan sure knows how to get our interest! I wish there was more coming soon, but we’ll have to wait until 2016 for Resident Alien Volume 4: The Man with No Name. Get ready!

Being a lifetime fan of Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, I hold these stories up to a high standard that will never go down. I can honestly say that this issue proudly keeps up the good name of Sabrina. If you’re a fan of the comic books, TV show, and animated show, you definitely want to read this one. It’s a brilliant take with a fresh new storyline for our teenage witch—most definitely worth reading.

We’re at issue #10, so it might be hard for new readers to follow (like it was for me), but it’s a really great series that, if you have the time to, you should definitely read. This isn’t an issue you’d want to miss.

This series started out a little questionable for me, but things are definitely looking up. Although the writing is still a mix between prose and straight dialogue, it makes for an interesting comic book. It’ll be fun to see how the next nine issues pan out. Things can only get better from here!

Overall, this issue is a step up from the last two in terms of the story and pace. Weisman and Larraz work closely to create an artistically fine comic book, that fans of Star Wars are bound to fall in love with. The story is picking up, so get stoked!

This is a really cool book with an awesome premise. Astrology mixed with tons of girl power makes for a pretty good story, as it turns out. If you’re into a good story and cartoony artwork, this series is definitely for you. I’ll be keeping up, and you should, too!

In summary, the characterization in this book fuels it forward, accompanied by some really awesome artwork. Even though the characterization is enough for us, Spurrier throws twists and turns at us, to keep us interested. It’s a creepy series, and it’s executed beautifully. If you don’t read this series, chances are you feel a void in your life—like something is lacking. This is it. This will make you feel whole again, so pick it up, enjoy, and feeeeel all right!

This issue is one that takes advantage of Battleworld and the Secret Wars label. It’s really great to see a series set in Battleworld and exploring Battleworld. Logan is a classic character whom we’ve seen a lot of, but never like this. I was drawn to this series by issue #1. It truly is a good read, and I hope you’ll give it the time it deserves.

Overall, I’d say this reprint is a success! I’m pretty stoked to see some more of it, and I plan on reading more today! Space is already an interesting topic, but when you add people riding throughout it in skull-shaped ships, I’m sold.

This issue serves as a great next step for Captain Peligro and his crew. They all keep getting into a lot of trouble, though, so it will be interesting to see them get their missions completed. I’m three issues in, and I want to go to four and finish this arc, so badly. It’s no wonder why these books keep selling, and Black Mask keeps having to reprint them. If you need a break from the continuity of a lot of other books coming out these days, this one will definitely do you well. If you’re cool and just like a good comic book with amazing artwork, look no further. If you’re a Harley Quinn fan, duh. The jokes are scattered all over the place, but there’s a balance of them and seriousness. This is a book with tons of creativity and imagination; you won’t be disappointed.

This is probably the most “out there” miniseries in the Secret Wars bunch of books so far. It is also one of the most engaging and entertaining. It’s not only a classic relationship for long time readers and supporters of Star-Lord and Kitty Pryde, but an inviting and fun book for new readers. No matter which you are, you’ve got to check out this book.

I was, in all honesty, expecting this book to be kind of stupid, because it's mixing old (Archie) with [fairly] new (Sharknado). Ferrante and Parent, though, are able to make it work just enough to be entertaining. I found myself gape-mouthed and scrunch-faced at some of the images. If a book can get me to do that, it's a good one to me.

Ruiz’s artwork is cartoony and fun, with the cleverness of that classic Archie style. Jason Millet’s colors bring the animated style of the art come out even more. Being both an Archie lifelong lover and a Predator sci fi fanatic, this book has brought together two very different themes in one very awesome book. If you haven’t read it, man, it’s only four issues—come on.

Valiant’s next big event is here, and it’s off to a great start. Although we don’t see the whole of the character cast just yet, we know they’re coming. Venditti uses his characters to tell the story for him, so we can only expect that the best is yet to come. If possible, read The Valiant before you start reading this. If you won’t because you’re just that stubborn, new readers will still be able to understand this book. Either way, it’s worth your time.

I’m excited to see where this series goes. I have no idea what’s with the pregnant or just-got-out-of-a-c section-with-no-stitches woman, but she’s fairly bloody and has glowing eyes, so she’s on my good side thus far. As for the weird assed parasite, hopefully we see more of what it can do besides make humans kill themselves (however, yes, that is bad enough and, no, suicide is not a joke). Either way, it’s sure to get better in the future. Here’s hoping we get so scared we wet ourselves!

I’m going to miss Big Man, but who knows if we’ll see more of him in the future? Hopefully he’ll get his own ongoing series instead of just a miniseries of four issues. As gory, violent, and disturbing as this comic book is, I can’t seem to get enough of it. Either I’m really messed up and deranged, or this is one damn fine book. I like to think it’s the latter. A-Force is quickly turning into one of my favorite comic books, not because they’re all women, and not because there’s good action in the storyline (both are true), but because the book itself is always aesthetically pleasing, and written in such a way that it pushes me to keep reading. This is a sort of sequel to the Aphrodite IX series, but it very much different"which is actually really good (not that the first series was bad, but change in comic books just makes me giddy). Some stuff is the same, but not a lot. This series is meant to be the future of the evolution, progression from the last series. I have no idea where this is going from issue #1, and I'm glad I don't, because for once, the suspense feels kind of nice. Athena herself is a badass, going from ordering an execution to grabbing a weapon herself to dying and coming back to life, and crushing someone else's head with her bare hands"all in the first issue. This series as a whole is incredible, but this issue in particular does a fine job, namely with its characterization. For the first issue, and being a 40-page issue, this is almost unbelievably good. I hope, though, that Vaughan brings us some more characterization, and soon. There’s a lot going well, but there’s a lot going wrong, too. It’s a good plot that everyone can relate to, with an “us vs. them” mentality, but the writing isn’t quite there yet. Fingerman’s writing is, I’ll say it again, extremely real. He shows us situations that we ourselves have been through, are going through, or will go through, and gives very plausible outcomes from those situations. The language is natural and fluid, as is the artwork. Fingerman isn’t afraid to show the ugly side of his characters, and that, the normalness of this book, is why I love it so much—and so will you.

Overall, I’d say that Wagner and Schkade tried their hardest to do justice to Eisner’s classic character, but they probably found it difficult. This is, without a doubt, a good and enjoyable comic book. No re-make will beat Eisner’s work, though, and this issue seems a little out of place, with the lingo and even physical appearances that it uses. At the end of the day, yes, I recommend this book to all of you. But like I said, first time The Spirit readers will enjoy it more than the rest of us; keep this in mind. I leave you with that.

his story is wonderful, and darkly twisted"my favorite! Just like Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, or Starve, or any other comic series that involves lots of knives, this story is beautifully gloomy, especially with the artwork. Marks' artwork has a watercolor style to it, and a general palate of red and black, with some in between, like dull pinks here and there. Was this done to resemble blood? Or, maybe, Sinister is just a red wine kind of guy. He does, after all, have the luminescent red eyes to match.

This series is strange, but really awesome in its own Hellboy-esque way. However, you do not need to be a pro at the Hellboy universe facts in order to understand this series. I can’t wait to see where this goes next, and if there’s something big coming.

After it all, I would recommend this book, and the series as a whole, to read. It’s a nice way to pass time and go on a really big adventure—and I think we all need an adventure every now and then, no matter how big or small it may be.

This book is the most perceptive I’ve read in a long while. Kot forces us to think about what is happening in the book, and how it relates to our modern world—and trust me, it does. I’m not going to get into the politics of it all, because my fingers might bleed from all the typing I would do, but I will say that this book sheds an immense amount of light on recent events and situations that we all have either seen, heard of, or been a part of. This book will make you THINK. With that, I pay my respects to the people whose names are mentioned in this book, and I trust that you all know a good comic book when you see one; pick this up, and get Google open to do some research as you read this phenomenal, socially accurate, heartbreaking, brutally honest series.

This book is just all around awesome. It’s still a bit mysterious in regards to what will happen next, and the characters aren’t as well-rounded as I’d like them to be. Regardless of these small hiccups, I recommend this book to all of you, every single one of you! Go forth and READ!

This book hasn’t really gone anywhere thus far, but seeing the background of a character is important to the story, too. I think Hernandez was looking to provide us with some characterization and depth to Shine in this issue, and that he has accomplished. Now that it’s out of the way, he has room to tell us a fun and interesting story. Hopefully issue #3 will give us just that.

I’d say the first issue was a success, but it lacks one focal point or a center of struggle for both the Marvel Zombies and the robots. Nonetheless, it takes us into new regions of Battleworld to explore the conflict that’s happening there, and artistically speaking, it is done extremely well. This is definitely one to keep your eye on.

In the end, I’d say this series is worth reading, and keeping up with. The concept of the plot is a different one, and that alone drew me in. There’s nothing I hate more than reading a story and thinking, “Oh, this is like that other story,” or “I feel like I’ve read this before.” That happens a lot, but not with Surface Tension. If you haven’t yet, give it a shot.

This book is just one issue in a series of consistency and brilliance. Mignola, being Mignola, writes of the B.P.R.D. with ease and flow, letting us calmly but excitedly move from page to page with a hungering want for more. Instead of shoving a bunch of action at us, Mignola and Arcudi take their time to write out a story arc for us to be drawn into, and emotionally invested in—as much as Kraus is emotionally invested in finding himself and coming to terms with what he has done, as well as what he is yet to do. If you’re a Hellboy fan, you can’t afford to pass this book up.

This issue went by fast, but I think that's just because I was eager to read as much as I could as fast as I could. I'm pretty bummed that this series is over, solely because the characters are so easy going and loveable. Jungle Jim the miniseries is over, but here's hoping we get some more of this coolness!

So far, Mulan’s character hasn’t done all too much, but I’m sure we’ll see more action in the future—after all, there are hundreds of people after her. This dystopian society is an interesting one, and definitely one to keep your eye on. I mean, come on, it’s Mulan!

Despite the fact that Logan’s character isn’t doing all that we would like to see, this book is fantastically written and, knowing Bendis, Logan will do the storytelling himself, at whatever pace he feels is natural and appropriate.  This book pushes the metaphorical boundaries of Battleworld, to include the stretches in which so many tie-ins can survive. There is a lot more story for Bendis, Sorrentino, and Maiolo to create and explore, and I have no doubt that the best of it is yet to come.

Guggenheim gives us secrecy, as many of the team members have secret affiliations and alliances they’re not willing to put in public. This causes a lot of tension between characters, which is actually a really good thing. It makes for some really great character dynamics. He also gives us some superhuman sex, villain battles, and an extremely character-driven storyline. This tie-in has more depth and character development than I’ve seen in a while. This is an incredibly engrossing book that’s definitely worth the read.

Southern Bastards is sort of like a train wreck that you can’t look away from. It’s grimy, dirty, and all too real, when we think of our lives being as unsatisfying as Hardy’s. It makes you rethink your life decisions a recall a day when things were better. It sucks to think about, but the fact that a comic book can make us do that is amazing. This series is definitely one to keep up with. Aaron and Latour make a feisty team and a damn near perfect pair for writing a book as intense as this one.

Godlewski’s artwork is clean and neat, without too much shadowing to create any sort of dark atmosphere. He is detailed, but not too detailed so as to take more attention than the script. Modern journalism is put under the microscope, as is a truly messed up idea of Wood’s, that has come to life not by solely words, but by the characters that Wood has created to help him tell the story. I’d say the first issue was a success, and I’m sure the subsequent issues will be, too.

This book is more sci-fi than horror, but I think the horror is coming in issue two and beyond, judging by the last page of issue one. Niles and Mitten are able to avoid that typical execution of horror as with a “gory-and-bloody-stuff-will-scare-people” mentality. It’s not that that scares us, but imagining ourselves in that situation. If the situation is not plausible, then we don’t get scared. There is so much yet to come, and I am more excited for this book than words can explain. Keep up with this series for more sci-fi and some new horror!

Making this book strangely relatable was a good move on Barbiere and Peterson’s part. Any form of entertainment that someone can imagine themselves in is one that is going to be a hit. That’s why we cry while watching movies or reading novels—not because it’s a sad story, but because we are picturing ourselves in that exact same situation (i.e. The Notebook). In a science fiction yet realistic story, both Barbiere and Peterson are able to evoke emotions out of the reader that just make them want to read more (honestly, I was upset when I got to the last page). Molina’s artwork is just as telling as the dialogue, like when Sister Grimm blames She-Hulk for Ms. America’s fate. Basically, this is an amazing comic book, and women in leadership positions is becoming a big thing nowadays. Yay, feminism! You should definitely put this book on your “must-read” list this year.

Oh, Killstrike is a sitcom formatted satire about the comic books from a previously adored and cherished generation of comic books. It has a superhero spoof, a relationship on the rocky side of things, and humor sprinkled throughout the dialogue. Whether you’re a fan of modern comics or the ‘90s comics that Jared longs for, you’ll enjoy the nostalgia of this book.

Shalvey’s artwork makes quite the impact, especially the nastiness of the last gory page. There is a healthy balance of colors and angles, making this book both fun to read and aesthetically pleasing. This book is for sci-fi fanatics, horror lovers, and overall comic book readers. So give it a chance to win you over! And let us know what you think of it.

Jenkins and Daley jump right into the action, without too much introduction, making the reader automatically get sucked into the story. It’s a powerful book about oppression and social issues that are all too real on the page and off of it. If you’re into steampunk, I recommend it. If you like good artwork, I recommend it. If you like powerful stories, I recommend it. So give it a shot!

Overall, Ewing brings a lot of social issues  to his writing. More than the issues at hand, this book focuses on the individual characters. This isn’t something I see too often, but when I do, it’s like seeing a dog walk on its hind legs. I know you know the feeling; don’t even deny it. If you’re anything like me, and love reading about the individual characters in respect to one another, you have got to check this out—and let me know what you think!

Both Crook and Bunn are two very talented people, and have come together to create a creepy, cute, mysterious, weird, and just plain awesome story. If I were you, I’d drop everything and go get a copy. In fact, that’s probably what I’m going to do when I get to go home today. I’ll see you at the comic shop!

Although the new Avengers movie, Age of Ultron recently came out and it was Iron Man who created Ultron (weird), I am so stoked for the Ant-Man movie coming out soon (and not just because I love Paul Rudd). Ant-Man has got his own series and his own movie now! He’s moving up the list and I couldn’t be happier about it. Check out the Ant-Man series.

This book brings together a nice mix of suspense and horror, and is a gripping story of guilt, evil, and magical realism. It doesn’t have all the gore I would have liked, but thus far, I think it’s a story I’ll be keeping up with, and you should, too.

This book is not only one of stereotypes and kids brought together so we can have fun watching them try to survive, but it brings issues and observations from our own lives, to the forefronts of our thoughts. We tend to let topics that need discussing slide by, while we talk about things that do not need as much attention, like materialism, or how many likes a photo of ours got on Instagram. These kids are being thrown into the basics of life: the wild. No cell phone service. No internet access. Just them, and a will to survive. No Mercy is both entertaining and eye-opening, teaching us a lesson I think we all need to learn. There are bigger and more important things than friend counts and reblogs and inbox numbers… This book is a must read, so go pick it up. Seriously, right now. Go. And tell me what you think of it. Happy reading!

Sci-fi seems to be a fad nowadays, and this book plays right into the hands of what the people want to see. I’m not going to tell you to drop everything and go pick up this book, but if you have some free time, go for it.

Overall, I think it was a great idea to bring back a classic comic book and reboot it as a horror genre book. This is something we don’t see too often but, when done right, can be a raging success. I think that’s what we have here, with Afterlife with Archie. Needless to say, I recommend this book for anyone who used to read Archie, or anyone that wants to get into Archie.

There are adults who haven’t grasped the message of this story, but writer Grace Kraft and illustrator Kelly Turnbull get out a moral lesson in just a few pages. Besides the nostalgia, this story is spreading positivity, to get up when you’re knocked down. This is the story that emphasizes the father-son relationship more than any others, even the parent-child relationship. It’s something we all love and yearn for, but often times don’t get. Not to mention, it’s pretty cool that Greg Universe got his own series special. I’m going to recommend this for people of all ages, and tell you right now that it’s one of the cutest books you will read.

It has only been one issue, and I’m hooked. Will Teddy rectify the anomaly (her true love)? Will Ulysses ever get Teddy’s attention, romantically? What will happen to history if Teddy does not rectify the anomaly? There is so much to come, and we’re only one issue in. So if you’re interested, now is the time to get on board this story arc and read along for a fun and awesome adventure.

All this Duck business has reminded me how much I miss my youth. Characters like Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, and Porky Pig make up some of the Looney Tunes, which I lived for back in the day, along with the old shows on Nickelodeon and Tom & Jerry. I can tell you right now, today is going to be a nostalgic day for me—and I love it. Although I can’t go back in time or be a little kid anymore, it’s healthy for everyone to think back on the things that made us happy has kids. So pick this up and get ready!

This is one of the rare times when I am more interested in the individuality of each character than the storyline as a whole. Morals, values, and even social interaction are big contributors to this book, and should be kept in mind while reading it. But overall, it’s a comic book; despite the fact that there are character shifts and themes to learn and all, it is meant to be enjoyed—I promise, you’ll enjoy it.

As much as I loved this book, I did find myself just a little confused, or that I was missing something. There is a “the story so far” paragraph included, but this is the kind of book you need to keep up with. It’s not a new story every issue, but one intricate plot that you need to be attentive towards. Nonetheless, it is still a very entertaining storyline that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good read.

It’s interesting to see actors without money, while today, most of them don’t know what to do with all of theirs. While it is an unusual circumstance, the readers are drawn to sympathize with them because us, the average comic book readers, don’t have millions of dollars ourselves. This storyline makes for a fun and captivating plot of people trying to get by, just like the rest of us.

Although all these aspects of a crime book have been used before, there is still the originality of the storyline when putting them to use. I’m a big fan of crime comic books, and this is the best one I’ve read in a long time. It’s not the most unique crime book I’ve read, but it’s one of the well-executed ones, and that’s more than enough to give it a read.

It’s always a fun read when the story taking place is not on Earth. It lets the mind wander, imagine the possibilities of what’s out there, see interpretations of what aliens might look like, etc. This book is a great way to let the mind do that wandering so crucial to a healthy imagination. Whether you’re already there or need to open up the possibilities for yourself a little more, Citizen of the Galaxy is the way to go.

There is not much humor, just a little sarcasm. The book has a rather serious tone. Despite this, it is an amazing read that I recommend to anybody and everybody. I have to admit, I'm not too into superhero comics, and I never have been. Invincible is one of the few that can actually keep my interest, especially now that we're on another planet. Earth isn't boring or anything, but other planets are just more entertaining. That being said, this story is appropriate for new Invincible readers as well as the diehard fans that have every issue. It'll give you a mix of emotions and an overall good read. Now is the perfect time to start following Mark Grayson on this new chapter of his life.

It took a second read to soak in all the awesomeness of this book. But what I got was: it reads at a stable pace, the artwork is appropriate for the subject matter, and it sends a good message. Brennan and Jackson write the script in such a way that it is easy to follow, and keeps your attention. You can try to read it fast, but you might miss something (as you read, there's a lot going on in this issue). It's not a skim-it-over kind of book; it's a sit-down-with-your-glasses-on kind of book.

Although all four main characters are kind-hearted and realistic people, I personally think they’re going to go for it. You can only go so far without money, and these old actors (and one actress) sound desperate. Despite the fact that robbing San Diego Comic Con is a not-so-bright idea, they seem like smart people, and will go about it in a tactical way. Honestly though, I have no idea if they will get away with it. There are two outcomes, and I’m 50/50. But, I’ll tell you this much: I can’t wait for issue #2 so I can see what happens!

This is a new take on the concept of gang violence, and an exceptional take on the concept of feminine power. I think being trapped in the open would be terrifying"especially if the open is saltwater with all kinds of monsters and sharks and strong waves. Granted, I'm terrified of drowning, but it would still be disturbing, at the least. Horror is one way to categorize this comic book, though I think Suspense is a better word to describe it. The writing in this issue is consistent with that of the last, in that it reflects the typical slang-imbued dialogue of the Adventure Time series. The artwork is the same, being the colorful and cartoony style that it is. This storyline is one of the more interesting ones, I mean, how many times do you see people shot into space? It’s all part of Adventure Time’s fantastical world of magical beings and candy people. It’s a lighthearted concept with some intense themes, and always fun.

This is not to say you need to be into politics to enjoy the comic. There is a lot action in this issue, real relationship stresses, and an uprising that you can’t help but support after seeing Sam’s actions.
