Amazing!

Not Waid's best but it's still good.

I was off this book for many issues and this is my first comic back and I have to say it's better than when I left it. I don't know if it's worth going back to catch up but if I get bored I may do it. Def won't be spending $5 per book to add to the collection though.

Still fun and engaging eight issues in. To me it's like Ult Spider-Man, just slow and steady with quality dialogue and superb character development. I hope everyone sticks with it for the long run.

I love the JLU concept as we now get to read about so many of the characters we never get to see anymore. This issue is a little slow in the beginning but it's necessary for the overall story so I can give that a pass. When DC did the whole diversity thing with Bbeetle, Atom, ect back in the day Renee was my favorite and I would love to get a Questions book where she and Vic team up for mysteries....maybe this book will fulfill that desire eventually. Overall the concept of this title is right up my alley and I'm pretty excited for issue #2. Good stuff.

This is what happens when you recruit top talent who care about the medium....you get Ghost Machine.

IDK. At this point Bendis could be writing this.

The green emo kid really sums it up saying they were throwing hands then just....having a tea party. WTF? This book is all over the place with no real direction and some realllllly bad\cringe dialogue. Kitty really doesn't know it's Emma making them see red demons??? Really? She says Emma knows she can't get in her head RIGHT AFTER saying she was giving her blackouts in the last 2 issues!!!!! Again....WTF?! Just another YA style mutant book where nothing happens and the comic rots on the shelf. This is tied with NYX for worst relaunch title. Just awful.

Uh, no! This Felica bs is pissing me off. You don't put her on the cover with Peter doing the whole superhero thing then just have her standing around nervously in one panel of the interior. WTF!? False advertising guys. Other than that, this title continues to be the SM book so many of us have wanted for years. Keep it up!!!

Dear God. I though maybe ol' James had forgot about us Wynd fans. This took forever to get but it's very much worth the wait IMO.

The art is super strong here and it might behoove Marvel to let their mutant writers read this title to understand the right way to do the whole (recruiting\protecting young mutants just discovering their powers) shtick. It can be done without being insufferable all the time.

One of the few X books that actually FEELS like an X book. It may not be top notch, but in a sea of mutant mediocrity it really stands out as a nice shining beacon of hope.

This hits hard.

What happened Chip???? Time to try another character.

Jason Aaron seems to be doing much better at DC than he did in his last years at Marvel. This was a great take on Supes in a Darkseid fueled universe and I hope he can keep it up. Sandoval is a master!

Damn.

My God. Btw, why'd they give her a Quicksilver haircut on the cover? This was a web series? Should have saved some trees and kept it there.

Feels a bit too much like Infernals but it's fun enough I guess. The petulant youth shtick takes away from the enjoyment as it's so commonplace in entertainment and here it never allows any of the characters to stand out and be memorable. The gore is good though.

It clearly shows them inside a facility before they enter the restricted area and they thought they got that far just by disabling the cameras? Stupid. Some of the dialogue is soooo cringe and brings down the comic but some is really terrific so it's hard to stay in the zone while reading this book. The part where Fat Cobra eats Wasp & the result is predicable & just made me remember how much I hated the ending of the Old Man Logan story in the big special they did. It was more blood and gore which is always welcome as far as I'm concerned but at least Logan had claws that could cut through pretty much anything. I don't think she could have busted through. A bit of lazy writing but the rule of cool helps here. This is great fight comic and I loved the battle but the series continues to feel like it jumps around too much. Like there should be issues in between. I know it's a time crunch b4 makers return but it makes for a more awkward read. Overall a fun comic but the little things really hurt it for me. I'll go a full point higher on my score for the battle alone. Bloody and brutal!

Not bad. The idea there is a price for the resurrections is interesting and the art is great.

This series continues to kick names and take ass & that cover is incredible.

It's as acceptable as the rest of run I guess.

I'm surprised Loeb still has it in him to do great comics. Not really a knock at the guy, it's just he's been gone soooooo long. Great work on story and art.

You don't get a lot with these books but what you do get is decent.

Amazing comic. I would have loved to see Wilson on Absolute WW.

Not really worth $5.

Good stuff. This is the kind of character insight we need and it hits pretty hard. Hard to root for a character that's a POS 100% of the time.

Blech.

Mindless and not up to Hickman's usual standards. Still, I like bloody battles and wolverine is the best at what he does so just for that and the amazing art I'll rate this a bit higher than I think it really deserves. I'm all for brutal battles and gory deaths and nothing much else in the comic (I was a teen & collected in the early 90's after all) but this seems phoned in when you compare it to Hickman's other work. Just because it's mindless butchering doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the same attention & capability something like avengers vs aliens gets.

As far as horror comics go, this is fantastic. Hyde street may be my favorite ghost machine comic and we only have issue #1 and this to go by. That's damn fine storytelling if you ask me.

A few extra points for the art, which is good IMO.

I say Arthur nails it. I won't say it's a 1 but it's close. Yet another terrible run of Iron Man on the horizon. EDIT: The more I thought about it, the more I hated it so....moved it from a 3 to a 2

Continues to be great fantasy.

The art is the big draw here but the stories are enjoyable enough and nice during the halloween month.

I'm really surprised they didn't start over at a new #1. Kudos DC. The story and art are both solid so I think Dick may be in talented hands.....hee hee.

Ummmm, what Billy said.

This isn't anything new. It's kinda like the movie Strange Days, but don't let that stop you from reading this fantastic sci-fi thriller. The art just adds so much flavor and depth to the story, and that last page.....dynamite! Wish we could get this guy on at least one regular series at the big 2 but he probably makes much more money doing this.

I get the shakes when this title is late lol. Another worthy entry into the energon universe. Whooo, that cover!

"Mind if I powerdog?" may be the most unfunny thing running in this series and that's saying a lot because there is TONS of unfunny in this series. Just don't worry bout that grease in your high dollar suit I guess. I was hoping for a lighthearted and fun mutant book and got this instead. Just bad.

Too many writing assignments.

The plot seems really decent but the art is a little too clunky for such a big title that DC is trying so hard to push and the writing feels pedestrian and amateurish at best. This team was waaaay too minor league for a trinity character in a all new universe that is suppose to make big bank. If DC wanted to come out the gate hard they really shouldn't have given this assignment to one of the new crop of terrible creative that we've been repeatedly subjected to in recent years. Also, I know we have yet to see a lot of Diana before the big intro to man's world so it may be explained but does Circe know how to tattoo or will this be like Scarlet, who may need to go undercover in a federal building or high security military installation, having gauged ears? Some things can not make sense if it's cool enough but most of the time it's just dumb. I hope this is not one of those times. Just a terrible beginning for AWW. Is Jeremy Adams or PKJ available to co-write at least?

Never fails.

This series seems a bit directionless at times but man I love the character interactions. G. Willow Wilson can write.

Writing and art are both atrocious. I think Shalvey must work super cheap to keep getting all these gigs but the companies have got to realize that these days the character doesn't always sell the book because the level of writing has gotten so bad people who are reading and not JUST collecting check the creative before handing over their money blindly....unless it's amazing spider-man I guess.

I know some people are bored with this series but I hope when it's collected & they can read it in one go they will change their minds. When I read this it reminds me of how much I love one of the only masters left at the big two and how I wish Marvel would give GODS another series and let it simmer and play out like USM has been doing.

Some of the dialogue is spotty and doesn't flow well but this is one of the better X books. That being said, they gotta drop these prices if they're gonna keep putting out mid levelish books month after month. $3.99 is the MOST they should be charging.

Dynamite!

Spidey sense is non existent, Peter is too often a loser and this was as "brutal" as any any other fight but it was just two comics long with some extra blood that couldn't cover up the less than stellar art. Sad that Spidey used to carry four ongoing books and now we're stuck with...this.

I know some disliked the heavy dialogue but I felt like it was well written and gave me something for my money. Unfortunately it was just a boring story. I hate moving through modern comics in less time than it takes me to check the mail so this book at least gave me something to sink my teeth into, even if the taste was bland. The new "hero" costume was pretty cool and this was better than most of the Zdarsky run but it still lacks the heart his DD run had. The art was pretty fire though.

I haven't been reading GL books in quite a while so I was a bit lost but it really says something about good writing when even new readers can enjoy something with this much backstory involved. Fun and action packed ring slinging is what this book is all about and that last page was epic! The cover is cool but misleading, purposefully so I guess. Fun issue.

This was more of the odd ball kind of books we needed in the X line. Keep this and trim the fat of all the solo titles, except maybe Wolverine cause that will sell not matter what, and at least one "team" book and maybe the X books can get back to being fun to read. I'll say I'm not a huge fan of the art but it feels unique and I think it will grow on me, not to mention the coloring on this issue. This cover is A+. This issue is the groundwork for the characters motivations and I must say that it's got me interested in these soldiers and their backstories. Decent job on this book IMO.

HOLY BALLS!!!!!

Can we get some X stories this decade that aren't victim culture vehicles. Fighting bigotry has a big place in X-men of course but it feels like this has become the easy go-to (not to mention often blown out of proportion) overused trope we see too much and this series seems to be making it the central theme. Just too much too often and it gets stale. I guess this is supposed to be Shadowcat, I refuse to call her Kate, being the reluctant, modern day, bartender prof X helping mutant kids but it's marketed as a team book with the X-men name. This feels like a bad CW version of a New Mutants book. I think this title is an argument for way too many X books released at the beginning of from the ashes. So far the emotion\empath color changing mutant is the only thing I kinda like.

Banger.

They can't seem to agree on Damian's personality over at DC. Other than that, this was a fine issue. This is a classic Batman adventure without world shattering stakes and is just what Batfans and DC need right now.

Great action and violence with some heart mixed in. Always well written and well illustrated.

Nonsensical in places and cringe dialogue throughout. The (ahem) red headed step child of the energon universe, but the art is ok so I'll bring the score up a point.

Not bad at all.

If the terminator is after a resistance fighter of note then why would it continue to hunt his parents nearly 40 years after he's born. The book they burn seems to be the answer but I'd imagine in 40 years the terminator would have better info on his prey than what could be gleaned from elderly parents, not to mention said fighter would have already done the things skynet sent the terminator back in time to prevent. Hopefully future issues will explain and this isn't an anthology series with tons of unrelated stories because if it is then the score for this issue drops quite a bit. This is from the same writer of the current Thundercats series and I've been pretty lukewarm on that title so I really wanted to like this to prove that book was just a one off but maybe it's just not meant to be for me and Mr. Shalvey. He is a great artist though.

This reboot rocks!!! The art itself deserves a score of eleventeen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've been following untold destiny of the foot clan then this book is a must. A real solid book all around despite the price, which is kind of ridiculous. Love the cover as well. It looks like what the cover of an expansion book in the old Palladium paper rpg's would look like IMO.

Too much Venom these days. This series is serviceable but not needed. If all your into is Spider books then this is a decent addition to your collection, otherwise skip it.

I know nothing of this character other than the Jane Fonda movie I saw about 30 years ago so I don't know if this is what she's supposed to be but if it is then this book isn't for me. This was kinda stupid.

If Dan Mora was back on art it might help but only a little.

Good ending. Mark Waid is a trash person but he really seems to get DC much better than he does Marvel. Too bad this event was lost in the shuffle but what do you expect when there are around ten events a year per company. Too many chances given on trash= no one cares anymore.

Please put this title out of it's misery.

This feels like the writing team is at least trying and putting forth more of an effort than most modern comics do. This at least seems professional and involves an actual effort by the DC team instead of letting writers run wild and do any stupid thing that comes to mind. Most things have been done already so this book might appear to be retreading old ground but I can at least stomach it compared to modern dumpster fires like Fire and Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Birds of Prey, the millions of symbiote & spider clones or any of the mutant titles of the last five years. Hopefully this will go somewhere. I doubt it but at least this issue is pretty good.

If this is what came from the ashes call the crematorium and tell them you got got a turd in your urn.

Tynion has yet to disappoint in this series.

Ding dong the witch is dead. Torunn Gronbekk is horrible too but I don't think anyone can out do Tini as far as trash writing. Low bar for her at least.

This has been slower than slow burn should be but it somehow kept me interested. I get this run isn't for everyone....most everyone....ok, about 90% of readers but I enjoyed it. Hopeless Ram V fan I guess.

This run is hit or miss with more hits than misses. This one though, is a grand slam.

Worst run of Flash in recent memory.

I've read this three times now and had to come back and up my score. It really feels like the reader gets a lot without being gouged on the price. Please consider moving over to some more quality titles, like the ghost machine books for example, and leaving the rotting carcasses of $5 and $6 dollar big two books that (mostly) don't deliver on story and are really more about speculation than anything else at this point.
