The fuck did I just read? It didn't make any sense. And even if that was the point of this series it has to still be enjoyable.

Waste of capullo art. Snyder shoehorning and spelling out the themes with a mess of a story.

Good action and caustic dialogue From Alfred. But the issue felt like a letdown, not much advancement or story

Pretty standard fantasy world. Dunno why but the use of "fucker" coming from such a Conan-esque character seemed too civilised for me, maybe something like dog raper or whore son instead?

If you are reading this Jason Aaron then please listen. Next time use a scalpel instead of a hammer to get your point across.

Dialogue isn't up to King's usual standards. Meanders a bit with the Punch/Jewlee and tiger scene. Catwoman hasn't been RUINED!!!!!! (For me at least). Art is very nice. Looking forward to the next issue. 7.5/10

Art is great. But the characterization feels off. Snyder seems to always pull these long winded speeches from characters when it isn't necessary

Not as strong as the previous issue as i forgot half of the characters in this issue. Art was good with clear storytelling

A bit creepier then Basketful of heads, though I felt it was a tad too slow for a first issue.

The Paul Dini backup was more exciting than the main story by Jurgans. Manhke art was very nice this issue

Not as "wow inducing" as HOXPOX but it does set the stage for what the series will be, doses of action and downtime. I also very much love Hickmans voice for magneto. Yu's art was nice but I felt it didn't leave to strong an impression on me

Tom King + 9 panel grid = great read

This issue shows that zdarsky is more capable of a writer than I thought. Plunging daredevil in a world of grit and realism with the help of checcheto and gho on art has me excited for another DD run

Liked the kingpin storyline a tad more. Seeing Fisk feel small in the world of "legitimacy" is great.

Picked this up because i was a massive fan of Warren Johnson's work on Ghost fleet. Was a bit leery initially cause most artist's turned writers have been bad to ok (with a few exceptions of course). Anyway, I think Johnson pulled off both jobs quite impressively (I don't hate the main characteers so chalk that up to a win for the writing)

I enjoyed it. But I need a PhD in order to fully comprehend all the pieces.

Dirty and grimy art. Perfect for a story and tone like this

Shang chi is thrown into this issues roster of Avengers (along with Steve and Sharon) allowing artist David Aja to play around and show off his skill. Aja's use of negative space in particular wowed me as it shows his strong grasp on compostion and knack for figures
