A fun start to the series, although it feels a bit light and introductory. It's a good thing the next issue comes out only in two weeks.

A disappointing issue. Nothing really happens and it feels like a rip-off from Marvel selling us two first issues instead of one. The final "reveal" is not a surprise to anyone, the art is good overall but sometimes a bit cartoony. Of course, Aaron is used to build things for the long run, but with this one he's really testing our patience.

This is more like it ! After a disappointing second issue (or was that issue 1 part 2?) there was much more content to enjoy in this one. The meddling of the everpresent Loki is fully justified with an insightful exchange between him and one of the Avengers. Entertaining with good character writing and a few surprises along the way. Can't wait for the return of the prehistoric Avengers!

I get that people can be shocked by the weird final twist of the issue. As for me I'm just hooked by this series as I was by "Captain America : Sam Wilson". Both feel to me like a fresh take on the Captain universe mythology so as long as Spencer is at the helm of both of them count me in!

A mixed bag. The parts by Aaron and Leonardo Romero were excellent, introducing new intriguing players that will probably show up in the coming "Doctor Strange" issues. The rest, without being bad, felt a bit dull.

I would have liked to love this one more. The art was good all through and Jason Aaron's script is competent, though nowhere near the level of what he's doing on Thor. Truth be told, this comic lacks a bit of focus and sometimes feels like a series of previews, without the coherence of what made DC Rebirth#1 a great reading.

Not a bad issue but I'm seriously considering stopping buying the series at this point. Fiona Staples' art is still something to behold but Vaughan's writing seems to me a bit lazy and repetitive.

The delays between every issue are painful, but "Southern Bastards" still stands as the best book around, and this episode might be the shiniest example yet. With amazing character works and dialogs by Jason Aaron, as well as top-notch sequencing and art by Jason Latour, "Southern Bastards 20" doesn't let you catch your breath until the last panel. This series is a masterpiece of storytelling in the making.

A solid conclusion to the miniseries. While not a huge surprise, the reveal of the whisper is a testament to the coherence of Aaron's big story told throughout the various Thor series. Can't wait to read what comes next !
