feels like there are big things coming. I just hope this build up doesn't let me down in the end.

An abrupt ending but some great parts

Run kind of felt like a waste of time unfortunately. Not to say I didn’t enjoy some of it, but a lot of it felt like filler and unnecessary arcs. Won’t be reading any Spider-Man for awhile I think.

Doesn’t really have that special tone that the movie had. Not bad necessarily but so far it just feels like a generic Batman story with a few familiar faces and a fresh coat of paint

A very promising start

I always wished I had read the Scott Snyder run on Batman as it came out, and ever since I’ve tried jumping into Batman runs but it’s never felt like I was reading a generation defining Batman run. This feels like it could be the next iconic Batman run.

Not at all what I expected after reading the first issue but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There’s a character reveal that I’m optimistic about, although I will say I was not fond of him in the past, I trust Zdarsky. Some of the art was off, mainly some proportions which I felt was odd to see in a main title like Batman but no other complaints really.

Don’t adore the cat woman side story, but the main Batman story is so great. Got genuine chills from the last two pages. Also it’s great to see the relationship between Bruce and Tim being so loving, it’s always been one of my favorite things about the characters but it’s not very often that a writer explores it.

Loved the first issue but wasn't planning on reading the series going forward. Then I bought issue two because of the gorgeous Tim Sale variant cover. Now I'm hooked.

Waid really understands the lighter side of these characters, and nails every piece of dialogue. Great series, perfect issue.

Been waiting for this series for around 7 months ever since the Batman Urban legends story. Well worth the wait. Terry seems to be taking a more dark approach to Batman than he has in the past with his journal entries, but I think that’s the perfect direction for a more noir yet futuristic Batman. This could be the Blade Runner of Batman comics and I am very excited to see where this goes.

Really enjoying this series so far. The writers clearly understand Terry as a character and have managed to take him in a new and interesting direction.

Really curious about Time Drake as this is the first time he’s been mentioned in the white knight continuity, and curious to see if he will ever play a role in this or upcoming series.

Needs Murphy art and the story felt very predictable.

Read issue one when it first came out but had a hard time finding other issues when it was being released so I put my reading of the series on hold. Now, two years later, I finished another rewatch of BTAS and was looking for something to fill that spot of fun Batman content that still had great story telling. I noticed this series actually had Burnett and Dini attached to it so I’m excited to finally read “a continuation” of the series. Had fun with the issue and enjoyed the character reveal towards the end.

Prefer stories like this one or the first issue of this series where it’s just fun Batman adventures and they aren’t trying to cram in new characters to the universe. Did not care for that HBO max plug though and it’s ironic now since they are working on selling the new Batman animated property they had in development.

Usual comic book backstory filler issue, but interesting backstory at least

Been rewatch the animated series and ironically watched the Zatana episode last night. This issue was great and may be my favorite from this run so far.

When this was announced I was in middle school. Then I graduated high school and a pandemic started so I haven't read comics in over 6 months. This was the perfect one to bring me back in. It's been so long and this was exactly what I needed.

Really like this style of multiple stories in one issue. Feels classic and not to mention each story was actually good.

Oracle bit was lame but the rest is fun

The red hood story is great. The rest usually ranges from poor to mediocre, but everything in this issue felt pretty solid.

All the stories were fine, definitely not a 10/10, but the issue still gets a 10 cause of how great that Batman Beyond story is

Hoping the next issue can revitalize the series, it’s really taken a turn for the worse and it’s disheartening to see

Sean Murphy wasn’t born to write Batman, Batman was created for Sean Murphy to write.

Unfortunately wasn't what I was hoping this spinoff series would be. Dropping for now but will one day come back to read it once it’s completed.

Nothing really happened, but the little that did was fairly enjoyable.

This book is very flawed on a technical standpoint but there’s just so much emotion in it that I can’t help but love it. One of the best hero and sidekick dynamics.

Solid recap of the origin with some great Ben Ulrich stuff. Would probably reread this issue if I ever wanted to read daredevils origin again

Not at all what I was expecting when I picked up this issue

Not a huge Kevin Smith fan, but I cant deny how great this first issue is and how quickly it grabbed my attention. Loving the symbolism, characters, and ideas so far.

Super abrupt ending to the issue, but I still was really enjoying it. Art not my favorite but I’ll live.

Spider-Man gives banter. Daredevil does his work in total silence. Perfectly matches the tone and showed Matt’s isolation. The gritty nature of the art is starting to grow on me.

Finally feels like this series found it’s footing, I’m just hoping it doesn’t fall apart

The story is great, probably around an 8, but the art is so horrible at parts it’s hard to concentrate.

Zdarsky Daredevil will never be bad

Seeing some hate for this issue but I think it worked well as both a continuation of the Zdarsky run and a fun landmark 650 issue. Enjoyed seeing some daredevil artists return as well.

Felt very rushed and had some holes that needed patching up. It’s a classic but it’s been done better.

Kinda spoiled issue 5 of devils reign but besides that it was a fun 3 issue story

I live for the big DC events when they are actually great, and this looks like it will deliver. Gorgeous art.

Pretty fast paced, but Dini’s writing along with the art made this issue enjoyable rather than frustrating.

Really enjoyed the Nightwing and Robin team up scene as well as the dialogue throughout. Did not care for the nightwing car though.

Kind of strange how fast it went from Hush and Batman fighting to a tour of the hospital accompanied by an exposition drop but still a fun issue.

Only bought it for the Worlds Finest set up but ending up reading the whole issue. Really liked the art in the first story and even though I had no idea what was going on I enjoyed it. Second story was ok didn’t impress me in any way but I also had no idea what was going on. The Worlds Finest story was great of course. Mark Waid and Dan Mora can do no wrong when it comes to Batman and Superman.

I wasn't too thrilled by this issue/series until the last page. Now I am officially hooked.

Why is it that the flash always has to "run faster than he ever has before". I'm sure there is something else you can make the character do. Be creative, it's getting really old.

Fantastic. Zdarsky’s writing is so great that I often find myself sucked in and reading an entire volume in one sitting. With gorgeous art to accompany the engaging story, I don’t think there was a better way I could have spent my morning.

Bought this at a convention because I really liked the cover and I like Spiderman Daredevil team ups. It was cheesy and dated but I loved every second of it. It's also nice to read a concise story that only takes one issue. Will probably collect more Marvel team-ups as I find them they seem fun.

Nightwing saves a dog and it's cute but there isn't much else to really hook a reader. Hopefully the story builds and becomes more elaborate from here.

Tom Taylor knows exactly what he’s doing and I hope he keeps doing it

Even issues like this, that are essentially just filler issues, are so full of great art and a playful tone that it reminds me why I love these characters.

Same as last issue, nothing new but it’s still super fun to see a writer and artist love a character so deeply. I like it.

There was a Watchmen reference

This is a pretty cool concept, and there are some interesting plot points, but it feels really rushed to the point where the twists aren't surprising because they are quickly set up and revealed. Would have been incredible if each decade was a volume instead of an issue though.

Dumb, but enjoyable

It’s peaks in issue 21. But still a great read with fantastic paneling and writing.

Decent start. Not sure who all the new characters are but I love seeing the original cast. Will be interesting once Roy's sudden revival from the dead begin to affect the story and hopefully we'll see Wally soon.
