The greatest Spider-Man story ever. Dialogues, art, atmosphere... Everything is perfect.

I never rate a comic 10. But this is simply perfect.

And it's ANOTHER 10. Zdarsky has created the greatest comic book I've read in the last 5 years and more!

Holy crap! I haven't been so excited about a story-arc in years. Kindred is really trying to destroy Peter Parker's life and I've rarely seen a more twisted villain. If this fixes the most infamous Spider-Man story ever, this whole new series will be 10/10.

Peter makes fun of Matt Murdock's blindness - Ben calls Peter "bro". Of course it's a 9,5/10!

Holy shit. Batman is fucked. I even liked the Catwoman story. Great start!

It's not a 10 because of Catwoman's story that has an unnecessary twist I didn't like. The main story, though? Fire!

HOLY CRAP. Absolutely fantastic issue.

Almost perfect. Everything in this issue is gold.

Another huge plot twist and wonderful writing by Al Ewing.

Ewing wraps like 5 or 6 storylines together in a heartbeat. This guy is a genius.

A shadow from the past comes back to help Bruce Banner and... it's perfect. Al Ewing does a spectacular job here.

This is the most "X-Men" comic I've read in a long time. Loved it.

Fantastic! That Quiet Council hallucination scene was nightmare fuel...

I really loved this. Narration and action are perfectly balanced and every group has the right space and motivations. Also, Valerio Schiti is a wonderful artist (reminds me of my boy Patrick Gleason!). I just don't get Moira's hatred. Ok, she has every right to be mad at Xavier and Magneto... but becoming Anti-Mutant Hitler is maybe too much.

This is probably Green Goblin's greatest story, alongside ASM 121 (obviously) and PPSM 25, which is a direct sequel to this issue. If you thought Norman Osborn was evil, just read this. Chilling.

Best .LR issue of all. The menaces are all coming for Peter: Kindred, Norman, Kingpin... How is it going to end?

Holy freaking crap! This issue was amazing. Took them twelve issues to get to an interesting twist, but Zeb Wells knows how to do it. Will Ben snap or will Peter come back and help him? Also, genuinely surprised they mentioned Clone Conspiracy after the backlash it got from the fans.

Most important thing: I love Carlos Gomez's art, he's becoming one of my favourites! And this issue is absolutely amazing. Peter training with Cap and Felicia is a very fun read, especially the Cat robbing a bank in front of the other two. The highlight of the issue was Peter's "I'm not Daredevil" T-shirt by the way. Also, Ben is being reprogrammed by Beyond and things are getting ugly for him. It's been two great issues in a row, let's keep it that way, please!

Holy crap, this issue was amazing (no pun intended)! Queen Goblin is not the greatest character, but her hypnotic Goblin Gaze is a genius thing: Bagley's art of Felicia's negative thoughts was fantastic and it helps characterising her even more. And... PETER IS BACK with a little help from Janine (I laughed a lot to Felicia sticking Peter in webs).

Great in every single way. This builds up ASM 850 and gives us TWO major plot twist regarding Norman Osborn and the Ravencroft. Funnily enough, Sin-Eater has ended up in the background despite the story arc title. Spencer is a very talented writer and reading this as a huge Spider-Man fan is even better, as I can recognize lots of references and easter eggs.

Don't get the criticism. This storyline has it all: thrills, action, twists and comedy.

Even if I feel Tynion's Batman is a little too talkative and aggressive, this is the best story in a long time.

Tynion does in a single issue what King tried to do in 85.

This PEACEKEEPER guy sure is a son of a bitch!

This long storyline confirms that Batman's problem had a name: Tom King. If you compare this to garbage like The War of Jokes and Riddles or City of Bane, the results are laughable.

I really love this story arc. Don't get the hate.

Art is outstanding, story is intriguing. Great!

Great! I have a feeling this could be a true star in the Mutants' lineup.

Between the Mutant Cold War and Essex's comical scenes I can't decide what's best. I really think this is the best X series alongside Wolverine and X-Force.

Amazing storytelling. Judgment Day couldn't have started better.

One of the best atmosphere and art I've seen in years.

The art couldn't get any better. This reminds me of some of the best issues of Dylan Dog.

This could be potentially amazing!

I can't lie: this was touching and emotional. Little Illyana was a very cute character and I liked the story. Thumbs up!

Criminally underrated. The writing, the art, the atmosphere... Everything is great. Paolo Rivera's masterpiece, in my opinion.

Best issue of the run? Looks like Predestination with Eddie Brock as the main character.

Be sure to take notes, it's as convoluted as Lost. But it's great.

I love this, it's even better than the first issue. The new villain is incredibly ominous and creepy and Wolverine's character is perfectly written. Keep going!

I love this story arc. That's simple: it has mystery, violence, ethical questions and action. THIS is what Wolverine and X-Force should always be!

I really really like this run. I dropped out for several months, but the "crime/mysterious" atmosphere is still here and the writing of both Logan and Bannister is great. Shame that Kubert left as he was perfect for this.

Holy crap this was awesome!

It's real fun and with solid action.

Still the best.

Amazing! This series never fails to entertain.

Terrific!

Holy hell, this was an incredible issue. Magneto destroying Cotati like he's eating breakfast and Exodus being this mysterious cult leader are the highlights of this month's mutant comic.

Amazing! Finally something that kept me on the edge of my seat... and it's obvious Krakoa's downfall is around the corner. "You can only run from fate this much"...

Best part of the series. Though, Earth being reset by a button? If only!

I was like "ok, good issue but nothing memorable"... Then came the last page. Holy fucking shit.

Kieron Gillen is quickly becoming my favourite X-writer alongside Ben Percy! Judgment Day keeps being great in every way.

This truly feels like a war and something that will have serious consequences on Marvel Universe. Will it last? Let's see.

Weirdest (in a good way) ending I've seen for a Marvel event. Perhaps words are truly stronger than swords?

A very good story, after all. Maybe a little too long and rhetorical (the Spider Gang's dialogues over freedom of choice), but the core (Spider-Man and GobLin team up) was great. Kindred is coming and he'll be revealed soon, so that's probably the most interesting part (still think he's Harry Osborn). There is also a little reference to the infamous Sins Past storyline and if Spencer is able to retcon or erase that garbage from existence he will instantly become my favorite Spider-Man writer ever!

Yep, I guessed it right. Kindred is exactly who I thought he was, but that's ok as it makes perfect sense. The story is very thrilling and lots of things happen, so you will be glued to the pages considering that it's told in non-chronological order. Let's see what's next and what are Kindred's real motivations! (But is he really THAT GUY? Could this be a huge fakeout or red herring?)

Spencer, if you are going to do what it looks like you're going to do... Man, I love you. The story is well written and the art is great, but the most important thing is what will happen NEXT. The ending is a bomb. We'll see, this could be a gem or a train wreck. (Still don't like the whole "Spider-Totems" BS, JMS I hate you)

I see a lot of disappointed people and I can get why: this feels a little slow and dragged if read on weekly basis. It will probably look better in a collector edition. Still, the story is brutal and very well written and Spider-Man will have to face some serious consequences after this!

"Hell yes, Spider-Man". This issue improves last issue's weak points and finally shows us more about Peter and Ben's relationship. Will Ben be a "superior Spider-Man"? Or will Beyond Corp. ruin everything only for Peter to get back and save his twin's ass?

Thank you, Patrick Gleason. After I don't know how many bland and forgettable issues of Ben and Beyond doing nothing, Peter is back in action (yeah, kinda) and we finally have a great artist to feast our eyes on. I love Gleason's art and I liked his writing here. The issue is actually preatty linear, but it's what I want from Spider-Man: drama, funny sequences and Peter overcoming the odds. This has all of it! Please Marvel, give Beyond to Gleason and I'll be grateful.

Well, well, what do we have here? A story going forward! And I think it makes perfect sense for Ock to be mad at Beyond, considering he created Parker Industries and they basically bought it for cheap. When will we see what's behind Beyond (no pun intended)? P.S. Ben Reilly is a giant dumbass in this run, the hell happened to him?

So it's finally happening. Ben is going to discover some pretty bad truths about the company he works for (it was about time!). Also, I'd like to see Maxine Danger's head on a stake (but the lady got style 😄). P.S. I've just realized that Otto is furious with Beyond for using his ideas... that he had while controlling Peter's body.

Ben dropping MJ's ass with a clearly deranged super villain made me laugh out loud (but Peter will likely want to decapitate his twin now). Also, this issue confirmed the fact that I would very happily be a slave for Maxine Danger, and I mean that in a sexual way.

LSD Trip: Comic Book version.

Creepiest Spider-Man story I can remember. The atmosphere terrified me as a kid.

The issue is very classic, but works great. Is this the end of One More Day? It looks so, as Mysterio clearly refers to "something about Peter and MJ that started all of this chaos"... So now it's up to Doctor Strange to defeat Mephisto and save Peter and MJ's memories, apparently. I'm still not convinced of Kindred's true identity, he may not be Harry after all (who is the guy jailed with Carlie Cooper?). The only things I didn't like are the MJ-Mysterio connection (it's ridiculous and it uses the old "Peter gets betrayed by ever person he loves") and Bagley's art in this single issue (it looks like he made it in a hour or so).

It's very good. That's it. I want to see everything being explained in the next issues.

Way better than last issue. XENO is back, finally!

The cold war between Sage and Beast is something that had to happen. Hank is completely insane and needs to be stopped.

X-Force rarely disappoints.

Sage and Beast are COMPLETELY insane and the whole X-Force situation is not going to end well.

A vegetable made Deadpool fighting Kraven on Krakoa. Beast running from a dinosaur in a 3D projection. This series is nuts.

Really liked this, I'm a "whodunnit" guy. Also very curious about this "Max", hope he'll be an important character from now on. Two things I dislike: - Beast's situation was too easily solved. He should have been thrown into prison, but he's still the boss of X-Force. Why? - The mystery was dragged for too long and this villain hasn't really been a threat for mutants... He was there, plotting in the dark, but I almost forgot about XENO at times.

I'm still not entirely sold on this, but the action sequences and the hints at future (very important?) plots are enough for now. I find it funny the X-Men are shown eating in a different country every issue, after fighting. Is this Mutants Vs Food or what?

I was completely lost with this "asymmetric" narration, but this issue explained the plot holes X-Men #6 left hanging. And I can never say no to a mystery, so I'll be reading this to know who the hell this Dr. Stasis is.

This would be a 9.5/10 if only it wasn't a continuity hell for me. I know the mutants, but half of the references here were obscure to me. Anyways, the story seems great and I'm in for it.

Magneto is officially in RAGE mode. Ouch.

Tony Stark's demons come back to kick his ass. I don't know if Vicentini is the right choice for a story with this atmosphere.

DUN DUN DUUUUUN! The mutants can actually resurrect humans! Or do they? P.S. It was so satisfying seeing Captain Marvel die a awful death.

Really like this Sin-Eater return storyline. Gritty and dark, with a great writing and visual drawing.

This keeps going in a great way. A Sin-Eater army filled with hateful and frustrated people? Sounds like social-media in a nutshell. The atmosphere is great and Norman Osborn is the next target of the haunting villain!

Very hyped about next issue! Sins Rising is easily Spencer's best Spider-Man story yet, but I don't know about the ending of this issue. Seeing Peter's reaction to Osborn's possible demise was very interesting, but the Spider Army? We'll see.

I like this. Norman's scenes are top notch, absolutely great. The rest... Yeah, not so much but these "LR" issues are not about Peter, so I'm fine.

After the shocking #52, this feels more relaxed and focused on dialogues. Norman's scenes are the best ones.

Nothing happens here, except for a obvious call on the infamous storyline "One More Day", that Spencer is clearly going to address or (hopefully) erase from existence.

Well, well, well. Kindred is behind bars (kind of...) and Peter can have a little brea... Of course not. I really like the fact that Martin Li used Sin-Eater to get rid of his Mr. Negative persona. The issue is very entertaining and I'm glad that the Kindred plot is still present (we finally discover the reason behind Fisk's hatred for him). Let's see what's next, Nick Spencer! P.S. A Green Goblin hideout in Liz Allan's house? Didn't see that coming. Also, wasn't Normie red haired like his father and his grandfather? Since when he's platinum blonde like his mother?

Considering that the Kindred affair has been apparently pointless, I'm very happy we're back to the funny and colourful Spidey from the first Spencer issues. Peter working as a "vlogger" for Norah Winters and J. Jonah Jameson was hilarious and I want to see what's next!

Glad to see that Spencer keeps up with the characters he's been using (Gog, Boomerang, Beetle...). It looks like the series has got back to the light-hearted tone of the first part of this run and I like to see Peter in a more "normal" life. VERY intrigued by the Robbie storyline! Also, Kindred is always there in the background and I think Spencer is waiting for a milestone issue to put him back on track.

I didn't think this day would ever come... SINS PAST IS OVER. GONE. ADIOS. Nick Spencer destroyed one of the most disgusting things ever written with ONE SINGLE ISSUE. Not only that, his retcon makes even more sense than that garbage original one (ok, not everything works but... yeah). The twins are now interesting characters without that shadow of Gwen's infidelity (Spencer even takes a shot at JMS) and we'll see what happens in the final issue, considering Mephisto will play a big role. IF (and I'm saying IF) Spencer manages to address OMD after retconning Sins Past, he'll be my idol for eternity.

I'm both excited and scared about this new run, I think it's either TOP or FLOP and no in between. I appreciate the fact Zeb Wells acknowledged what happened in the ending of Sinister War (with Harry's death and everything else) and I mostly liked the issue. It's fun to see two Spider-Men interact and the concept of a corporation owning Spidey's identity is definitely something new and original. We'll see: it's more Yes than No as of now.

Ok, ok... This was fun. Now I'm totally sold on the Daughters of the Dragon.

Hobie Brown gets kicked out of his company by Amazon basically and he gets mad. But I don't think all the managers in the world react by wearing a purple costume and sneaking into the corporation's headquarters. Fun issue anyway, it's good to see Beyond being a menace to other people besides Ben and Peter.

Well... Hahahaha ok ok! I have to say I kinda dig this. Tombstone literally made The Rose look like a giant wimp. And Peter did his dirty work without even knowing it. Romita got back to his best after a bad issue and this took me back to the best JMS stories (with Spidey hanging from the ceiling and kicking The Rose's goons right in the face). I'm kinda lost as to how Tombstone was able to get Spider-Man literally under a Rose hideout without him noticing a single thing, but I guess this is what it is. And thank God Tombstone is actually changed and he wasn't really trying to kill Robbie or Randy, because that would have been a slap to Nick Spencer's run! The MJ-Felicia angle was ok, we still don't know enough to judge.

Another good issue, finally. Issue 4: Tombstone screws Spider-Man / Issue 5: Spider-Man screws Tombstone. I feel Peter's mysterious situation is leading to him being more reckless and aggressive. The scene of his confrontation with Tombstone is very weird for the "classic" Spidey, but his plan involving Digger is a great idea. Unfortunately, I think this storyline is done after this issue, and Zeb Wells will focus on something else for ASM #900. Please Marvel, keep this quality.

Real fun and something unusual for a Venom storyline.

8 for the story. 4 for that terrible cover.

Unexpectedly great. The final scene is both epic and ridiculous (in a good way).

Percy, you have my attention. The two stories in this issue are everything a Wolverine story should be: dark, mysterious and with a little bit of twisted humour. Love the art by Kubert, perfect for this series.

Great story, but I'm still mad for the fact I need to read every single X-Series to understand what the hell (no pun intended) is going on. Anyway, Percy's writing is awesome.

FINALLY Ben Percy can focus on the previous storylines and put Wolverine on the track of the numerous threats to Krakoa. Still love the atmosphere and Kubert's art.

X-Men (2021) #11 Oct 1, 2022

First of all: I would be happy to see Wanda dead once and for all. She has made so many fatal mistakes during her life and yet the X-Men always forgave her and moved on. I just don't like her character anymore, she has become a stereotype (like Magneto, bad and good, bad and good...). The story is ok, I like the suspense and X-Factor's investigation. What I don't like is the usual "Magneto disagrees with Xavier and goes insane"... Again, we've seen it a hundred times.

7.5
A.X.E.: Death to the Mutants #2 Oct 24, 2022

The problem here is that I really like SOME parts (Kindred as a character, the atmosphere...) but sometimes this all feels pointless. Spencer is the best Spider-Man writer in decades, but it looks like he kinda lost control of this. To be clear, this is not a story arc ending.

If you're still pissed off by the last issues... You won't like this. Or will you? Spencer starts teasing something new here, including Carlie Cooper in the mix. Of course there are still more questions than answers, but I'm not expecting much anymore. Also, there is a very satisfying moment that I won't spoil. All in all, a good issue.

I'm taking half point off because of Ferreira's way of drawing Harry and Norman. I never understand who's who, they are freaking identical! The story is fine, nothing great nothing bad.

What? My Spider-Sense is feeling some quality, finally! Yes, the issue is pretty good. No waste of time, the art is good once again and Kindred is back! Am I happy for The Sinister Six's 656487th return? Absolutely not, but it looks like we're finally getting the answers we were supposed to get after the "Last Remains" arc!

Hell, I don't know. On one hand, we have the usual "all questions no answers" from Spencer, but on the other hand this looks REALLY important as a twist. The revelation about Norman Osborn's past is controversial (I won't spoil it), but what scares me the most is the fact that Kindred may not be Harry Osborn in the end. And given the fact that we saw a European house, cloning tubes and numerous references to "sins"... I think this has something to do with two characters we all hoped were gone forever: The Stacy twins.

I'm not a huge fan of Beyond, for now. It's not bad, but it looks like nothing is evolving: Ben is always in doubt, Beyond is shady, Peter is in a coma and that's it. I like seeing classic villains coming back and I really like the art in this issue. We'll see.

What the hell just happened? A horror take in Spider-Man Beyond? I liked the issue, but it's an incredibly fast read and I now understand why they're getting released every week. Also, the Daughters of the Dragon are back... And it makes me happy!

7.5
Amazing Spider-Man (2018) #92 Mar 21, 2022

What am I seeing? A story going on? Incredible! I don't actually know who this Hobgoblin could be. Ned Leeds would be obvious and I don't see a real reason for it. Anyway, let's hope this is a good mystery storyline just like Spidey has shown us multiple times over the years.

Rehashing things we've seen 100 times, but it's somehow entertaining. P.S. Norman seeing Spidey vs Hobgoblin on a live stream made me chuckle.

Does Dark Web make any sense? Nope. But this issue was fun and I love Ed McGuinness. I suppose we have to take this as it is: a cartoony mess crossover. Ok.

So bad it's so good? Kinda. As I said, I'd rather have this story if it was not connected to Ben Reilly and all that's happened before. But sure, at least it's fun (and it's not something to be taken for granted in this run)!

It's fine. I still can't stand Wanda tho, and I don't get why she's still around as a character.

I'm not sold on Moira becoming a villain. Especially with a sudden twist like this.

The Moira weird stuff ruins the mood of an otherwise great ending.

Why isn't this in Wolverine solo series? This is not X-Force. The story is good and the art is even better, but looking at the series it just looks like a sequel to Wolverine #6.

Are terrible dangers coming? Probably. Is this issue overcrowded with ideas and plots? Surely.

"Judgment Day tie-in" my ass: there's no link to the event. Anyway, good issue with Deadpool "mentoring" Omega Red and... Kraven?

Could be a easy 9/10, but Beast still leading X-Force after the mess he made in the latest issues is frankly ridiculous. Also, the whole XENO thing should have been addressed a year ago or so. Anyway, very good story and a shocking final plot twist.

Beast is a... Beast. And I have a feeling he will be the trigger to Krakoa's inevitable downfall.

X-Men vs Elon Musk! Wait... What? Also, X-Men creating Jaeger Armors with scratches! A man standing in the shadows plotting against mutants! Ok, let's say Pepe Larraz's art is fantastic and everything else is... Fine? I'll be in touch.

I actually liked this one, but yeah: almost nothing is happening in this "main" comic. I dropped Hickman's run for the same reason, so I hope the main story will start and be great!

"Oh crap, Laura and Deathstrike are falling from space to their deaths! Only Rogue can save them! It's dramatic!... So we won't show you the actual scene and jump cut to something else!". Anyway, good issue.

I feel this has potential, but if you don't know these characters like your best friends you'll feel disoriented. P.S. Magneto kicks ass.

X-Men: The Trial of Magneto (2021) #2 Aug 5, 2022

Heh, not that good. It's confusing at times and too plot convenient (Druig is a giant idiot!). Also, reading a Fortnite's reference in a X-Men comic is just... No. But it's ok and it gives us some other explanations for the Eternals' motivations.

Spencer starts introducing other characters into this story-arc, but it's not necessarily a good thing as this feels over-crowded: Spider-Man, Norman Osborn, Kindred, Sin-Eater, Order of the Web and now a long known character I won't spoil. Fortunately we see what happened to Sin-Eater and his followers, because it looked like Spencer left the plot hanging.

I don't know. This feels like a completely different story. It's not as creepy as the Kindred tale and the Sin-Eater & Morlun arc looks basically useless. You can almost skip this entire issue.

Don't get me wrong: the writing and the art are always very good because Spencer and Bagley are the best you could wish for now. The problem with this whole "Last Remains" is simply the hype, as most readers were expecting something else. There was NO revelation and NO answers to what Kindred is really trying to do. It's always a "we'll see what's next".

Good issue. Unfortunately I just can't get too excited about this series anymore, because of the latest story-arcs that felt like a time waste (Boomerang being a jerk and Kingpin unleashing chaos in the streets... Yeah, ok). I'm curious about this Clairvoyant thing, but the umpteenth return of Ned Leeds from the dead is meh. Also, as I said, pregnancy in Spider-Man stories has always led to horrible results (Yeah, you know exactly what I'm referring to).

Great dialogues, great atmosphere... But the art is atrocious. Why is Bagley only doing covers? Where is Gleason? This is literally the climax of Spencer's run! Anyway, this would be a 9/10 issue if we hadn't already read "Last Remains", because it's the same exact story and topic. Hope the Kindred mystery is ending on a high note, I still trust you Spency!

The problem with this Beyond arc is that the issues are almost conclusive. The scheme is: A) there's a threat, B) Ben manages to defeat the enemy while almost getting killed (he's nowhere near as powerful as Peter, even with that suit, C) the issue ends with him going back to Janine and Beyond saying "oh Ben we were worried, just do what we ask for!". It's getting a little tedious, but I like the art and the situations so it's ok, I think. And the May-Otto part... Eh eh.

Fun story, happy to see Peter back and curious to know what he will do next (help Ben Reilly? investigate on Beyond Corp?). Just, please, spare me those sexual innuendos between May (who suddenly looks like a old super-model) and Octavius. Is Superior Spider-Man coming back? Looks like Reilly will have to deal with both Otto and Miles!

Spider-Man Beyond still runs short in my opinion. This is another one of those issues that show very little and repeat the "Beyond is bad but we won't show why / Ben is oblivious" cycle. Even with its many flaws, Spencer's run had me on the edge of my seat for almost every issue, this looks just... too generic. It's never bad, it's just so average.

I'm giving this a 7/10 ONLY for that Doug story. The rest... Meh.

Not bad, but also not an ending. Look, I'm not a huge fan of Spider-Man Beyond to being with as I think the potential was mostly wasted due to multiple writers and artists working on it at the same time. This kinda has very good moments (Peter vs Ben was interesting), but it's also rushed and I'm sure I will forget it in two weeks once ASM #1 comes out (I mean, fucking Romita Jr. is on board!). So, yeah, but also "meh".

Oh crap this is not easy. Let me get this straight: I love Romita Jr's art and Spider-Man being broke and always on the run. This story kinda took me back to late '90s Spidey, and that's a huge WOW. I'm also intrigued by this Soprano/Breaking Bad/Mafia storyline with Tombstone and The Rose (yeah, he came back during Spencer's run... remember?). But those plot twists with Aunt May and Mary Jane basically telling Peter to fuck off? MJ having kids (or that's what it looks like) with a random guy? It will probably lead nowhere and she'll break up with him or something like that, but I think we're all tired of Marvel ruining her character and keeping her from Peter. Also, the heck happened between Spider-Man Beyond and this? They look like completely disconnected stories. In the end, of course I'm reading this... But I can't rate it any higher for the moment.

I'm really confused. At every page I'm like "hey this is interesting" and then immediately "the hell am I reading?". So Paul and Peter got in a fight? Norman is free and he's rebuilding Oscorp, even if he was locked in a asylum mere months ago? Peter is working with him? And I'm even more lost on that Vulture storyline. I can't do anything but follow this, hoping Zeb Wells will prove me wrong... but I'm very disappointed in this new run, for now.

Still not sold on this. At all. It's always 50/50 good and terrible. I love the art, but the story is meh: I can't take this Norman storyline seriously, not after what he did to Peter, Gwen and MJ in the past. And I can't believe he's free after all his crimes and being locked up in Ravencroft less than a year ago. Why and how is he running a new Oscorp? Also, why is Peter so damn weak suddenly? He can't beat Vulture without a new high tech suit by the Green Goblin? Also, what was the point of this Vulture story? Did Peter actually sell him to Tiana? And if he didn't, why didn't he tell Toomes? Why do I always have 100 questions after every single issue?

How can someone rate this more than 7 is beyond me. Dialogues are mostly bland and JRJR is getting worse each issue. Nothing is particularly memorable or shocking (I saw that plot twist coming a mile away, just look at ASM 11's cover closely!). Probably the most mediocre Amazing Spider-Man run I can recall as of now.

THIS is a shame. I can clearly see it being great, with the demons and the cartoony aspect of the story. But NOT with this premise and Ben Reilly acting like a psycho. They nailed 50% of it, but the other half is completely misconceived.

So, this is it! I actually liked this first issue because it's directly linked to the ending of Spider-Man Beyond. However, does Marvel really expect me to remember a villain from Grim Hunt BACK IN 2008? Had to look it up.

First thing first: Romita JR. is so inconsistent it hurts my eyes. I love the guy, but Jesus Christ those faces sometimes... Anyway, this is fine. Just like the last issue. It makes me chuckle to think that this whole big mystery revolves around a villain from 15 years ago that almost nobody remembered.

The story arc has gone downhill in the end, but it's still a good one.

Heh, at least it's not whatever the last two issues were.

Too heavily connected with other series and it feels weird to read.

It sure got boring.

X-Men: Red (2022) #7 Nov 2, 2022

Convoluted dialogues and horrendous art.

Mind numbing for most part... but I like the premise and the last pages. "Death to the mutants" it is, huh?

Yeah, ok.

Doesn't look or sound like Spider-Man honestly, but the issue was decent. Kindred's references are still the most enjoyable part, while the "Romeo & Juliet" angle kinda feels ridiculous and forced knowing Robbie and Lincoln's backstory (the usual "Hey, what if the most implausible thing happens?"). Not interested in the Kingpin and Tablet story anymore, it was already established previously.

First of all, I really dislike the art here. This Manga-like style is definitely not for Spidey. Speaking of the story... I don't mind this Clairvoyant mystery that's linked to The Foreigner and Betty Brant. However, I'm not in the mood for another "mystical return from the dead" by Ned Leeds. So now we discover he's been alive for a decade and was brought back by a random dose of Goblin serum he got in a Osborn hideout in Europe? The heck is this. I hope it's a red herring or I'll be seriously annoyed.

Huge stepback, honestly. Not much happens and I really don't like Sara Pichelli's art here (she was way better on Ultimate Spider-Man). Ben and Janine are unhappy with Beyond, Peter is comatose and we see a glimpse of Black Cat. And... there is nothing left to say. Hope next issue is better.

Average. Not bad, just average. P.S. Peter reacts to Felicia and not to MJ? Shit, he's screwed once he wakes up.

Uhm... what? Two final plot twists that are surely shocking, but make little sense honestly.

Surely better than Issue 2, but I'm still extremely confused. How is Peter locked by simple handcuffs? He should be able to completely destroy them and kick all of Tombstone's goons in the face. I liked Lonnie's memory tale (and I think it's a new side of it that was never shown) and the glimpse into Randy and Janice's vacation. But that's it. Romita's art is the worst I've seen since the first Issue (I'm a big fan) and Tombstone's plan is stupid, considering he looked perfectly fine with Randy dating his daughter. Paul paying Peter's bills? Convenient, but I think that mystery is going to be a loooooong storyline. In the end, I have very mixed feelings. Hope I can express this without some genius reviewer coming here telling me not to read my favourite hero's comics.

Ok issue to kick off Judgment Day and show some more tension between Peter and Mary Jane.

The dialogues of both Bane and Batman are cringe. And the villains getting kicked in their face in loop is ridiculous.

I'm still not a fan of villains working together like in the War of Jokes and Riddles. Especially the Joker, that King clearly doesn't understand and can't write. I'm curious about this storyline, but the best parts of the run are a far cry.

Nope, this is not ok. I loved the entire story arc, but we're jumping the shark here. A machine that can erase trauma? Scarecrow stealing it and taking an enormous web of computers in the sewers without anybody noticing? Ivy's underground world being found out of nowhere with a simple scan? Why ruin this with useless crap?

Meh. All that buildup to see Poison Ivy save Gotham and Batman doing a moralistic speech to Molly? Saint gets arrested with no resistance after he basically destroyed the city with a army of robots? Looks safe and rushed.

Why can't you have a decent ending to Batman stories? Joker War, Fear State and now this. Is it DC cutting short and changing plans on the run? Or do screenwriters invent absurd things and then don't know how to get out of it in an acceptable way? Batman coming to Earth falling from space and not even getting a scratch? And what's more he lands just a few feet away from Robin and Superman. Dunno, maybe I should really flatten the expectations to zero level.

Great, a story I can't fully understand if I don't get two other series. I hate these things. Anyway, why would the Batfamily stop Batman considering he's doing what he's always done?

Still very bland and forgettable.

Nothing happens, just an explanation of a backstory.

I really don't get this. Is it a parody? Ben and Janine with Halloween costumes and NY becoming a horror circus? But it's also serious, with Ben confronting Norman and Peter mourning Harry. So... What the hell is this? And now we even have classic Venom, because Madeleine Pryor brainwashed him! Of course! I'm giving it 6.5/10 only because of Adam Kubert's art that's fantastic. I really hope he can be the main artist on Amazing Spider-Man.

Nothing really happens beside a "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" reunion.

Most of the time I'm "???"

As much as I appreciate Medina's art and I truly believe Cantwell is doing his best, this is not very good. Apart from Norman's memories and guilt, the rest is mediocre and the dialogues are bad. Also, it feels so rushed (how did Ben get into Oscorp? How did Norman get back to a safe place?).

Convoluted as hell, but kinda entertaining. Still not into this Stark mutant war thing.

It's fun, but the magic from the first issues of this new run is gone. Also, keeping track of this "Fall of X" event is a pain in the neck and if I read "Invincible Iron Man" I could be just looking for Tony Stark, not the mutants.

Convoluted and not particularly fun.

Honestly, not very good. Dialogues are dreadful and the fact the Suicide Squad can actually fight the Justice League and not pathetically lose... I mean, come on.

X-Force (2019) #46 Nov 14, 2023

I have to be honest: I think this series is the weakest among all the mutants ones. Hickman is probably a genius (he creates universes and species with scientific details in this series), but almost all his stories feel... Empty. We read of all these characters (Xavier, Magneto, Apocalypse, Wolverine, Summers family, Jean Grey...) but nothing happens. Flashbacks, metaphors, ideas. I personally think that New Mutants and especially X-Force are definitely more interesting and less bland.

Bland issue. X of Swords is a very long story arc that has had great parts (Wolverine's journey to hell), but this is almost useless. Unfortunately, the "main" X-Series is going downhill (X-Force and New Mutants are still way better). Hickman created a great start, but he's losing his way.

SKIP.

SKIP.

There are some good moments (and I love the art), but it's mostly bland, predictable and mediocre. Gameworld's fate was a joke.

Man this series took a nosedive recently. Honestly, after the main Kindred arc I feel everything is there just to be there. I liked the "classic" atmosphere during the Kingpin/Boomerang arc, but now even that is completely gone. So what do we have? ANOTHER villain back to life (The Rose, I mean, The Rose...) and Betty Brant being pregnant (everytime a pregnancy is shown in a Spider-Man arc things get horrible). Yeah, ok.

Spencer is losing control of what he created with this series. There are too many plots that were thrown in the mix during these three years and it just feels overcrowded. Also, the dialogues in this are simply terrible (and Spencer has always been brilliant with dialogues).

Oh, people will be disappointed. And so am I. I'm not rating this 5/10 or less because the issue is actually good (except for the art that's sometimes dreadful). Yeah... this doesn't address One More Day in any shape or form. It looks like it was all about Harry's tormented soul and the Stacy twins in the end. So, what did Kindred want actually? Why did they hate Peter considering he saved them during Sins Past? Why did Harry spent like 50 issues saying it was all "Peter's fault" considering it was Norman who sold his soul to Mephisto? Why did Mysterio say that all of the chaos was triggered by "something Peter and MJ did"? Spencer, this is not a red herring, it's straight lying to your readers. This story's biggest sin is being a Osborn saga where Spider-Man looks like a side character. Anyway, I actually liked the issue, but it's clear that the board changed Spencer's plans and the ending was rushed, because nothing happened for 20 issues before this and then they release a 80+ pages story. Goodbye Spencer, I still think you are one of the best Spider-Man writers in history.

Peter and Ben fighting chickens. Horrible writing (the dialogues are completely out of place) and I really don't know what happened to Pichelli's art (it sucks badly here). Giant step back from the great previous issues.

I'm giving this a 6 only for the final hint at a crazy Norman. But everything else is mediocre at best and terrible at worst. The art is HORRENDOUS, it looks unfinished and doesn't work at all with a story this serious. And please, please, please... Leave Gwen Stacy alone. Stop beating that dead horse! It's not touching, it's just annoying and boring.

It would be great!... Except it's not. Peter acts like the usual idiot from Wells stories, Felicia is a completely different character from what we've seen in recent years and, of course, let's randomly put MJ and Paul here. Could be fun with the Glass Onion-ish story, but it's just a disappointment. ASM is literally the worst series I'm reading at the moment, can't really understand the hype I see on this website.

I liked the pace of this issue. I really did. But that's about it. So, we have: - Peter freaking out and acting out of character just to keep this story going. If he stopped for 5 seconds, the F4 would have helped him. Captain America was punched in the face for asking what the problem was. Does it sound like something Peter Parker would do? - Things happening way too fast. Two explosions in Pennsylvania and a buried Spider-Man costume in the middle of a desert. Two hours later, THE FREAKING FBI is hunting Peter. For what? What's the accusation? - People treating Norman Osborn too well. Aunt May wouldn't accept him in her house, especially considering she has no clue about the Sin Eater situation. I just want this run to end.

SKIP.

I'm very confused... This is the weirdest comic I've read in a long time. What's the story? Why is everything happening off-screen? Why is Joker depressed? Why does Tom King skip extremely important events? Where's the war? What is Batman doing?

Tom King's recurring delirium. 6 is for the amazing art.

As much as I liked the first two parts, this is unnecessarily violent and grotesque. Also, why does this Batman act so recklessly? He almost got beaten to death...

Tom King gets basically ridiculed by a character he wrote. The rest of the story is useless.

Convoluted as hell. I can feel King thinking "I am a genius" while reading this. 6 is for the art.

I don't know. It always feels like King has no clear goal for his stories. I hate the way he writes villains and I'm fed up with his convoluted dialogues. I'm still here for the art and because I want to get over with his run.

"Cat! Bat! Cat! Bat!" and so on.

I loved the story, but this ending is just... Meh. Batman leaving Joker to die? Joker escaping at the last second? Joker always coming back in weird ways? It's just safe and... Bland. Also, a lot of thins were left hanging. What about the theatres? How is Bruce back at Wayne Enterprises in a couple of days? I'm kinda disappointed.

Story is convoluted, art is terrible. Not a great start.

The twist makes no sense as of now. Why would Bucky join the Outer Circle all of a sudden and leave Steve to his fate? He wants revenge? Why not investigate alongside Steve?

Fight, fight, fight. Nothing else happens and the event is already coming to an end.

Bland and weak. Is this The Exorcist now?

It all started greatly (with a plot twist and very good spin-offs about the character's motivations)... And the ending is just so bland and dull. Everything is back to normal, people who looked dead are alive and Tony Stark saves the day with generic hero sentences. Not much to talk about. Big crossovers are always disappointing as of late.

This is it? Scarlet brings millions of dead mutants back to life and... this is it? Yeah, we had Explodey Boy's funny scene with his undead-self, but other than that? Some cringe dialogues between Hordeculture and Angel, some weak fight. There is an alien invasion, guys! No, that's it. Ok.

Convoluted: The Comic Book.

Terribly rushed storytelling. It has good ideas, but they're drowned in bad dialogues and random events.

Convoluted with bad art.

Is this issue bad? No. Did I like it? No. Interrupting everything that was going on in the various X-Series for a 22 parts big event is CRAZY. I'm basically forced to follow every single series now because every issue is fundamental. I loved New Mutants before, but this feels completely useless. Makes no sense.

I'm not into this. Don't get me wrong: the idea of Spider-Man's story through the decades and real events is intriguing, but the execution is poor. I don't even get what the target is for this. Hardcore fans will know 3/4 of the things here and new fans will be confused by all the references. Everything is too quick, if you're not a huge fan you will feel lost because the pace is terribly rushed.

Suicide Squad (2016) #32 Dec 11, 2023

All the good from last issue thrown away. Art is terrible, storytelling is mediocre and everything feels rushed.

Venom (2016) #158 Dec 21, 2021

Could turn out to be great, but as of now... Too many things. Too many references. If you're not a die-hard X-Men fan you won't get many things. Also, this event comes out of nowhere. There was not a reference in the previous X-Men issues. I don't know, I'm really getting tired of Hickman's fantasies and master plans.

Still don't get the excitement for this event. Yeah, it's a battle of armed mutants with magic swords. Hickman is still a genius planner and a mediocre storyteller.

This is incredibly... bad. The Quiet Council just lets Beast go unpunished? He literally almost destroyed Krakoa, he murdered Wolverine and cloned him to create an evil army! What the hell is Xavier thinking? And I'm also not into Laura and Piotr joining X-Force.

I'm starting to get sick of these hyperconnected stories that are basically incomprehensible if you don't read 26 different series. What the hell happened at the Gala? How is Omega Red alive again?

Percy can't stick the landing. He already did this rushed ending thing before.

This looks like a dead-end. Nothing is happening. Hickman has been telling the same things for months. There is no action and the narrative sections are so convoluted and specific they just feel boring.

Useless: The Comic Book.

I'm pissed off. I accepted Issue 1's weak points and negative parts because I liked the Mafia story and JRJR's art, but this is way worse. Peter has become an insufferable jerk and his actions almost look like they're made out of anger or revenge (Peter Parker? The man who forgave murderers of the worst species?). Also, the dialogue between him and Rabbit is the dumbest thing I've ever read in my life. But most important: Norman Osborn being in touch with his nieces? How? Why? I get he was cleansed, but why on Earth would Liz Allan be ok with a psycho hanging out with her kids? What was the point of Peter babysitting them if we didn't even see the interactions? Why is Norman Osborn walking free and without a worry in the world? Why does Spider-Man hate Tombstone so bad he lock himself in a truck to beat the crap out of him? WHY DOES THE COVER FEATURE MARY JANE IF SHE DOESN'T EVEN APPEAR IN THE WHOLE ISSUE? I'm pissed off, Zeb Wells. The only way I see this making sense is a parallel universe considering the ending of Spider-Man: Beyond.

Bland, lifeless and useless ending to a decent crossover. Lee Price was completely wasted as a character...

Weird and frankly off-putting. Looks like something written by a drug addict who likes Batman mythos but Batman himself.

Zdarsky's Batman is simply not interesting anymore to me. This was convoluted and weird, I felt completely disconnected.

Nothing happened through the whole event. So Bucky was a spy and Ian runs Dimension Z? Wow, what a shock. Honestly mediocre and forgettable.

What a mess. I really liked the first part of the Krakoan era, but this "fall" storyline has been so convoluted and mind numbing. Basically, if you don't follow and read every single mutant series, this will be a massive headache. They have fundamental facts happening in 385325 different series and then get referenced in these events. It's a chore.

Nothing happens. I'm serious, you could completely skip this issue and you wouldn't miss a single thing. The concept of villains fighting each other while trying to kill Spider-Man is funny, but that's it. And for the love of God, could Kindred stop babbling about sins and responsibilities and bullshit for at least ONE ISSUE? Thanks.

Is this a real issue? A whole issue about... Nothing? Nothing happens. And when it does it looks out of place. The MJ story-arc smells like sh*t. The only redeeming part is the last page (no spoiler).

Wait... The heck just happened? No no no, we're not good with this, Spencer. Was this written by a 7 year old who said "yey let's put dozens of villains and things happening at the same time"? Nothing works here! The dialogues are so generic, the art is terrible and I really don't get this hype about that stupid ass character Teresa Parker. Jesus Christ, I have a headache now.

This is not good. Not rating it 4/10 just because it's the first part of a new event and I want to give it the benefit of the doubt. I just don't like this new Spider-Man run and I surely don't like this new Ben Reilly or whatever he's called now. Enough with these characters, we've seen them a thousand times! Marvel is completely out of ideas and I'm already fed up. P.S. "Hallow's Eve"? Is this a joke or what? The hell did I just read?

I honestly don't care anymore. I will keep reading ASM because it's always been my favourite series, but this is just... Nothing. I'm not even mad as I was with ASM 900 or other terrible books. This story is just meh. Ben Reilly is ruined forever, you can't go back after this Chasm phase. Peter is the usual supposedly smart guy who gets constantly kicked in the face. Maddie just did a U-turn to quickly end this story arc. It has its funny moments, but we really are at rock bottom.

The absolute bare minimum or even lower. Somehow Peter is now Felicia's "boyfriend" out of the blue and Doc Ock's characterization of the last 10 years was thrown in the bin, making him the "Arr Arr Arr big evil" again. Also, Peter is the most depressing character ever as of late and I'm tired as hell of the Gold Goblin storyline.

Terrible. Worst part of this saga. The kites scene is something out of a bad parody and the dialogues are horrendous.

"It could be deep or philosophical... but who cares?" - Catwoman describing this whole story arc. Disappointment and boredom at its peak. Dialogues are still horrendous.

I hate unexplained in medias res storylines. WTF is this storytelling?

Dreadful script and dialogues. Sometimes it looks like Tom King is writing a parody of Batman.

Tom King is actively trying to look like Batman's worst writer ever. You're not Tarantino, mate, quit these crap dialogues!

Terrible. I get the point, but this is horrendous storytelling. Also, did DC literally throw the Abyss storyline in the trash? It's not finished, the guy escaped and this is a filler. Next issue there's a new writer and a new storyline. So? What is this?

Not a fan of this. I'm already fed up with this run...?

Ridiculous. What is this? Why would I care about this alternate Gotham? Why is Bruce Wayne indestructible? Holy crap this took a nosedive.

Are you even trying, Chip? Because it doesn't look so.

Really, I couldn't care less about this story. It's boring to death and I don't understand what sense it has or what use it should have in the long run. And please, no more multiverses! I've had enough.

Boring convoluted fan service marathon with a open ending. Boy, this run has declined fast. I really don't give a crap about the future of this right now!

This ranges from bad joke to forgettable story. I'm sincerely embarrassed by this Zeb Wells run for now... I can't remember one single truly great issue. It looks like he's not even trying.

Man this went downhill quickly. The first issues were awesome, but now it turned into a bad Lord of the Rings ripoff that has nothing to do with the premises. Boring and dull.

Awful art drags a potentially good story down in the dirt. Also, Cantwell keeps rushing everything and it's quite annoying. This doesn't even feel like it's connected to other stories, it's the weirdest thing I've read recently.

Yawn... Did they really get to 5 issues of this boredom? It's the same story retold 5 times.

Nope, not my cup of tea. I really don't get all the 9 or 10 this is getting. This is a weird alternative life for Peter and, as I said for #1, it just feels rushed and basically useless. Read the original stories instead.

How to throw a good series to trash for cheap nostalgia. Eddie Brock's return makes no sense like this.

"This is beyond bullshit. What are we even doing here?". Wolverine himself reviews X of Swords.

This series is incomprehensible. There is literally zero logic in it. One issue is ok, the next one is awful, the third is great... and again and again. What the hell was this crap? Bombing the sun even if Gameworld was destroyed like 4 issues ago? Iceman treated like a gay stereotype with zero character development? The pathetic news scene with a forced LGBT "inclusion"? Marvel, gay people are like heterosexual people. They don't want to be treated like an endangered species, because that's a discrimination. We're all the same. This is not inclusion, this is you making yourself look "good". And what the hell is that pathetic final scene with Cyclops and the Progenitor, with dialogues taken from a Tumblr account? This is terrible.

Turned to garbage pretty quick! Wanda comes back and everyone stops fighting suddenly and go to dinner (?). Then they ask her what happened but they literally don't even listen to her answers (??) while Krakoa is being attacked by giant Kaijus (???). Also, where is the trial? You know, the thing this event was named after?

So bad it's laughable. Looks like something out of Scary Movie.

Here we go again! Another Spider-Man issue that gives me headache. Who thought this was a good idea, exactly? 26353 villains trying to kill Spider-Man while Kindred babbles about "hell" and "sins" and whatever the hell is this storyline, Jesus Christ. I literally couldn't keep track of the events because it was so freaking rushed! I'm just waiting for this run to talk about the elephant in the room, but the other things have completely went downhill.

Even worse than Issue 3. Wanda is the worst character I've ever seen and this event is a pathetic apology. Also, the pacing is dreadful!

I swear, I understood absolutely nothing. It's like watching indefinite colored spots do random things. What kind of useless trash has this series become? And people were complaining about Nick Spencer! The final dialogue is the equivalent of a kick in the balls for a Spidey fan.

Why? Skip.

Most pointless comic book issue ever?

This is EXACTLY the kind of issue that makes me want to drop this whole run. Talk, talk, talk... And nothing happens. Also, CUT THIS FREAKING BAT-CAT LOVE ANGLE. We get it, Tom, you love Selina Kyle. But we're at a point it feels like you have abandonment issues or something like that. It's not fun, it's not interesting, it's not what Batman should be like.

Imagine writing and publishing this thing. The "Knightmares" title is a reference to the fact I'm literally falling asleep reading this run?

I'm probably being drugged and forced to experience my nightmares just like Batman. What is this? A terrible rehash of the Super Friends great story? Tom King trying to look cool writing Clark and Bruce as boring idiots and Lois and Selina as """"""""funny"""""""" independent women?

This is it? This was "The War College"? A three pages fight with a couple of Nazi douchebags and a all-black mutant alternate universe? What's the point of this? You can totally skip this miniseries and nothing would change.

Wait, this is a joke right? RIGHT? The mutant series were not stopped for this... RIGHT?

Gwen Stacy (2020) #1 Jan 10, 2021

Whoever approved this series should be fired from Marvel and never return. There are dozens of continuity errors and the characters have NOTHING to do with their original counterparts. Leave Gwen Stacy dead.

Crap. There is no other way to describe this. It's crap. Not only that, it's a pointless crap that makes no sense. Spider-Man didn't change at all during this story arc and his life was never "ruined" as Spencer tried to imply. Nothing happened, actually... Nothing! And the way Spidey manages to get out of trouble is so idiotic I think it was written while Spencer was shitting in Marvel's toilets the day the story was approved. Thank God this garbage is over, now we only have two issues left to understand what the heck is Kindred trying to do.

Man what a terrible ending. All the hype for these idiots to just... Win and own the Justice League? With people going free as if nothing happened? Also, of course, a giant AD for a spinoff series nobody gives a crap about.

I'm officially done with this trash. Hickman & Co think they're smart and funny, but this is offensive. Stopping all the main stories to show the fans mutants competing in arm wrestling, food competitions and drink games? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.

Listen, Zeb Wells... Shut up. Not only that final "plot twist" is absolutely ridiculous and predictable, but I'm SICK of Spider-Man acting like a completely reckless idiot who can't stop for a second and use his fucking genius mind to solve a problem. What in the bluest of blue hell is this garbage? And people said that the Gang War arc was bad...

Easily one of the most pathetic and embarrassing X-Stories I've ever read. Not even Lost got to this level of convoluted bullshit. P.S. Fuck Wanda and whoever still writes stories about that garbage can of a character.

I am speechless. I don't really know what to say. I'm just sad about the state of Spider-Man right now. This is awful. Worse, it's embarassing to read. Every character acts like it's a parody. The Birthday scene is terrible, it isn't funny and it feels completely out of place. Felicia being mad at Bobbi makes no sense considering the last 10 years of stories. Flash acts like a jerk for no reason. The Sinister Six are directly taken from the '60s, as if the characters never aged or evolved. The whole "Living Brain" thing is laughable. Spidey's monologue about "responsibility" is so didactic and explicit it sounds ridiculous. And his final kiss with Felicia is pointless, out of context and pathetic considering Spencer's run and the MJ situation. I have never felt so downcast and embittered by a Spider-Man comic (ok, Sins Past and One More Day take the cake). This is terrible. It looks like something a 14 years old with no knowledge of continuity would write. I am lost for words.

SHAMEFUL. OFFENSIVE. This is literally a bad episode of The Bold and The Beautiful with Spider-Man characters. Affairs, secret children, out of character actions and sensationalism. JMS and Quesada should be BANNED forever from a Spider-Man comic.

Awful. Screw Straczynski and screw Quesada. These two are responsible for the worst stories in the whole Spider-Man history: Sins Past (atrocious) and this garbage. This is not Peter Parker, this is a middle finger to all the fans. SCREW THIS TRASH.

It's happened, in the end. Zeb Wells managed to completely throw me off my favourite superhero's comic book. It's not even right to rate this thing, as misconceived as it is. This is not a story: this is just a rage bait for the fans so they'll talk about it and Marvel gets free promotion. Nothing makes sense, everything just goes the way this pathetic writer chose to because he thinks he's so smart he can piss on beloved characters and do whatever the hell he wants. I don't even know if I'll keep reading it. This looks just like the kind of garbage that will be retconned in a couple of years.

You know, I could stand here spewing the worst insults about Zeb Wells and Marvel and it would all be perfectly fine. But, honestly, I will try to be serious and explain my reasons. First of all, what's the point of this whole story? Seriously. Rabin is a terrible villain and nobody will remember him in a couple of weeks. Peter doesn't do a thing that changes his character. The F4 and Norman Osborn are just there. The character of Mary Jane is completely twisted for no apparent reason and behaves in an incomprehensible way just to irritate the reader. Paul is a useless jerk with no personality. To top it off, Ms. Marvel's death was announced earlier, making reading this issue completely optional. At this point, I think it is clear for all to see that the only motivation behind this horrendous antics is to divide, once again, Peter and MJ. A couple who had painstakingly reformed after a 4-year run. Swept away in 26 issues, one worse than the other. I know many Spider-Man fans cyclically claim that the character is finished and boring, but I didn't believe it. Honestly, after this story arc I feel drained of the desire to follow my favorite superhero. I've never read anything more depressing and pathetic, above all because of this incomprehensible desire to irritate and annoy fans in every way.

I won't rate this. What were you expecting? Just like Marvel won't make Peter happy, DC will never make Bruce happy. Hyping this up for a philosophical mess that leaves nobody really satisfied.
