A great issue that fixed some problems I had with the most recent ones, but still hasn't solved some others: mainly that I can't have a grasp on how dire the situations are without knowing, say, how the logistics of the rebellion is, or how much ground are they losing or winning. Sure, they showed some planets being taken and retaken, but this isn't very tangible. I guess I miss a war table with a map of the galaxy showing what was won or lost. I also felt like this issue was a rollercoaster where we won, lost, then won again. This made this particular issue really good but it also made me feel this could have been more spread out throw hg the next issues. Or maybe the pacing of those next issues will be great, who knows. Lastly I wish Ex Nihilo's and Abyss's side mission were more connected with the rebels. I wish the galactic council were aware and incentivising them so it felt more like a plan. Seeing their stories in this issue is starting to feel like a Deus Ex Machina(heh)

Would have been a great issue if it weren't for the fact that apparently they defeated the Builders during a montage. Really? That big threat gets defeated just like that? The scene in the beginning is still amazing though.

I ended up liking it more than i thought it would.

Dammit, i was liking it so much but then they did the "hey, remember that this comic is from 2007" and did a Kill Your Gays Punch.

Considering the fact that both this issue and Infinity #5 came out in the same week I don't really get why they decided to make this essencially a filler issue when SO MUCH happened in the previous one. They could have easily attached the events of issue #21 onto this one and give the ups and downs of the war we saw in said issue a bit more time to breathe. Dialogue was fine that and the pretty visuals of the shops, but that was basically it.

Damn, Ewing really hates the concept of pacifism huh? This is the second time I read a story where he shits on Wonder Man and the idea.

It's just a really long action scene. It's an...ok action scene, which is detailed enough thanks to the fact the the full issue is dedicated to it, but it's still not great, and i still wish the issue wasn't focused on that. The ending was interesting but it's dependant on the quality of this X-Force team after it starts, so who knows now.

Disappointing issue. At least the art was fine.

Basically no story progression, basically just a (pretty well drawn, I must confess) very long action scene.

Damn they really fucked Kelly Sue up by making her write a tie-in right after the end of her previous arch. I was totally lost when the prelude mentioned that she lost her memory. It really sucks that she didn't get to write that in the actual comic, but she did well with what she had. K didn't liked the Avengers issue where this fight occurred but I feel like DeConnick did a pretty good job adding a human element to the defeat. Pity that the art wasn't up to par.

Great issue with multiple great powerful moments and lines. The final story was also great. I never saw such a short story work so well, being able to mantain a good beginning, middle and end consistent. Props to the writers and artists.

Really liked the team dynamic with Tony. Usually characters are always pieces of shit when Tony appears in their stories. I did hated that they just let the villain die with them just saying "he'll probably be fine" and calling it a day.

Pretty weak story overall, but the art was mostly good and the colors were great. I also liked how Shuri was written in a more similar way than how she was back before the first movie.

Really fun diversion! Should have expected to see that a member of the the Elephant Trunk would be relevant to the story. Art fit this issue well, and I really liked the visualization of Shuri on a chair where Groot's brain would be.

It's very rare that an starting action scene not only is good, but also feels purposeful. You understand the stakes, and the highs and lows, instead of just two sides bashing each other for no reason. Art is still amazing, and the last third of the issue was intriguing

Amazing start. The story itself was already pretty good, and so did the action, but the real star of the show is the incredible art. Very optimistic about this series. Mixing BP with space opera is a match made in heaven.

Very good issue. Felt like a lot happened. Great art too.

The issue was mostly action, and tge action itself was pretty meaningless and bad, so there's not much to bite in here. Art is great.

First story was fine. Definitely carried by Ross who I like so much. 6,5. Don't know anything about McGregor's work on BP, but that was a great story. Art as beautiful as well. 7,5. Black to the Future 2 was pretty bad. Basically just a narration of what happened in the past of that future. 4,5.

A disappointing conclusion. The control of Zenzi ending with a speech was particularly silly. Sounded like something from the West Wing. The ghosts defeating the remaining People also wasn't very satisfying.

Glad to see that the story did improve over time. I actually did enjoyed this issue.

The story is interesting but the dialogue and art isn't good. It's too practical, only made to move the story forward, and without flourishes or spice, on the lack of a better word. I also don't liked conflict between Aneka and Ayo in this issue compared to the previous.

Very good issue. Interested in what the story plans to do with Shuri. Art and colores were great.

Ayo and Aneka's relationship was pretty good in this issue.

The main story was pretty bad. It sounded like a story written for children. The second story was a bit better, despite being much shorter and closed on itself. Art and colors of said story was great, which helped a lot.

It's barely better than the previous issue due to the fact that the post kiss romance isn't obnoxious like their tough love from before. The scene with T'Challa was ok as well, but it still has big problems in dialogue and scene transition.

Terrible action on an otherwise fine issue

This issue made a very strong impact. The beginning was a bit confusing though.

The first scene with the Hatut Zeraze wasn't very well written i feel.

Good issue. T'Challa os definitely getting Worf'd, but I understand that it's an effective way to make sure that the new antagonists make a strong first impression. Hopefully they will balance this better in the coming issues

The justification for the fight to happen was stupid, and the action was also stupid. Shuri doesn't have a single strategic thought. The premise behind the scenes regarding the crisis on Wakanda is good, but the execution wasn't. Some scenes could have been more well written. The scene with the Dora Milage is not very well explained. The "be blasted by magic in order to become more powerful" is weird.

This is all so dumb. T'Challa knows who attacked him but he decides not to tell anyone. Then Shuri has leads that lead to Namor and she doesn't bother to ask T'Challa about it. Then she decides she will "talk" to Namor when that clearly means fight because of it. Can't people just talk?!

Don't like the way they portrayed Ross here. Seems like the writers have a big disagreement on him compared to how Christopher Priest wrote him.

Art and colors are amazing, and the fight with the Super-Skrull was good, if a bit too easy.

Art and colors are great. The focus on K'vvvr was great. I really empathized with him, and any story that shows both perspectives of soldiers in a war gets points in my book. The main plot of the issue I didn't liked it though. The plot twist felt contrived and not very well constructed.

What a silly ending. Tom is very desperate to say something but he doesn't know a lot about it, so he talks about the crimes of rich people and people with power like the ending of a Neil Breen movie. It also just throws a resurrection for no reason, and never elaborates on it later despite the story suggesting they would. Also, what was the point of the exploding girl? When they introduced her I though she was going to be explored more, but she was literally just a time bomb and nothing else. I though I was going to at leas be able to complement the art, but even that had problems, as the layout of the last pages made me confused as to the order I'm supposed to read them.

The Elektra part was a bit wasn't very well written. Matt's part was great despite the terrible Knullified design and a bit too much focus on religion. The idea of putting himself on an electric chair was amazing, but i was a bit disappointed that we didn't get a wide panel of him in the chair taking the shock.

It was...whatever. Him freeing himself from the influence of the Phalanx was a bit too close to "the power of friendship". Him acting like a jack-ass when the Worldmind has the solution was also annoying, but the solution itself was also some mumbo-jumble that you can boil down to "trust me bro".

This story is an amazing argument in favor of Kamala Law. 4 complete fools just threw themselves in front of a criminal who literally shot at them with bo regard for their lives. So irresponsible. The issue was fun until that point. Unfortunate.

Really well written issue. Made me emphathize a lot with Titania

Bad and incomprehensible.

Great concept. Frustrating that all was solved with a post-narration. The surgery certainly would have been more interesting to see than them just continuously punching the contrasepsis.

Whenever I see an issue that's about helping people I'm usually pretty happy, but this sucked. There was 0 time used to show the people being trafficked getting actually freed, but there's 3 whole pages dedicated solely to show the slavers getting punished. Priorities guys. Also, so silly to me that they would save humans but also be cunty about it. "The council wouldn't allow it" no? Who would vote against it? Sinister, Exodus, Mystique and Shaw, vs Xavier, Erik, Kurt, Kate and Jean in favor. Then not only not allowing them on Krakoa but also saying they are forbidden from entering parts of M Island is so dumb. Whatever, weird, bad story.

A completely mediocre and forgettable issue, but the art was great.

Good story. Art was pretty rough at times(though the page of Ms Marvel on the flames was great). I wonder if Ms Marvel turning blue in these last issues was what motivated Kelly Thompson to make the retcon that Carol is half Kree.

Very good issue. The moment between Peter and Dylan was pretty good and the interaction between Brock and Flash was good. Some of the plot stuff could have been more well written though.

Really hoping next issue won't be just a side mission. Still not sure why they want Hildegarde specifically.

Cringe dialogue of "genius" character.

Complete throwaway issue, but I never read an actual espionage/heist Shang-Sho comic, so it was nice to have a taste. Paneling in the action scenes was good as well.

Had some problems with the visuals. Some things weren't established, or established well. The sudden killing of his wife and the turning of his son were also too sudden.

Poorly paced. Some scenes take their time and then others just zoom by so quickly you don't even understand the seriousness of the situation. Some panel layouts were pretty bad too, and the retcon on Daken's powers is so cowardish. Just accept that your character's powerset has a problem and build the story around it. At least one of the scenes that took it's time was pretty good, which is Speed's.

Quick, the story is coming up short, what do we do? Oh, just do an action scene every 4 pages. I get it, superhero comics and all, but since this is a tie-in, use the free villain whose motivation you don't need to write(a symbiote dragon), not your great friend and partner or Stegron, who did nothing against them. It's also annoying how transparent it is that this is just a side-quest(collect the 3 things before progressing), with 0 pretense in explaining the need for said 3 things(assuming next issue won't explain, which, considering the writing quality of this series, i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't)

Fun issue as always. Surprised to see Doom being written as an actual bad person considering how often he's portrayed as an antihero nowadays.

The giant arrow is certainly a moment.

Really dug it. Interesting character stuff, and great art and panel layouts.

What a whacky combination of characters.

Good issue. Disappointed that the Arakko-Krakoa relationship was completely dropped. At least have a few issues where we see their differences being too much to the point where they give up on uniting. The scene with Isca and Charles and Erik was great. Very excited to meet plenty more Arakkis, and the land itself. 20x the population though? A bit much I'd say. Also don't like the vagueness since we don't even know the population of Krakoa.

What a nonsensical conclusion. How did Santi's powers worked there? Why was he ignorant in his own narration boxes throughout this and the previous issues if he had a plan? How did David knew Ruth was going to bring help? How did he found out Red Skull was behind it? Was it related to the ghost of Xavier he saw in the Cortex? Why would anyone have any problem with that persona of Legion erasing Schmidt's brain and putting himself in it? Disappointing conclusion. Hopefully Santi won't be abandoned after this issue and that's the last we see of him.

Was interested in seeing Jessica and Carol's interation, hoping it would be fun, but wow, that was unbearable. I don't care if there's a story reason as to why she's being so shitty. She was already like that in the first issues. This just made me think their friendship is terrible. For a story written by a woman, it definitely looks like 2 male characters Hate seeing superhumans beating ordinary people for no reason as well. Always gives me fascist vibes. Also the destroying/stealing Tony's ship bit was bad.

Great art by Matteo Buffagni. Pretty mediocre story though.

Finally a good issue. Action was not only great but brutal. Very impressed by how fucked the characters looked. Really helped sell how powerful the hits were. Glad they didn't made another "parent is not what you think" retcon. Second story was fine. The many different covers in between ech page felt like padding, but with an art as amazing as Mattia de Luis's i can't complain too much. Intrigued by what Jess and Carol will do in space next arch.

Wow, all of my least favorite things in comics together! Bad action,, superheroes acting like fascists(loved the hostage situation where the hero just does a quarterback bash on the person putting a gun at a teenager), bad layouts that not only waste space but also don't help with clarity(the action scenes in the second half), holding out information for the reader for the only reason of keeping suspense for the reveal at the last page, and last and least, SECRET NEVER-BEFORE MENTIONED FAMILY MEMBERS WOOOOO!!! The literal single good thing in this was the conversation with Rebecca in the plane

The prose is great and the action was ok. Not a lot of plot really.

What a great conclusion. Dan Slott is She-Hulk writer as far as i have read.

Man that is a LONG fall. Literally nothing happens. Don't bother reading if you want to follow King in Black. Go straight to the next issue of KiB.

That was pretty fun

The scene in the bookstall was pretty funny.

Barely anything happens in this issue, and as always Byrne has to come up with a new gimmick to waste time.

Visuals are great in general, from art to inks to colors, but it's style over substance. The action sequence in the beginning was a bit too vague, without giving a good sense on the geography and what actually knocked out/killed each victim. Interested in wether Zak-Del's father is actually his father or a part of the control of the Phalanx. Considering the end of the issue, this seems less likely, but i found it curious that his ghost would be so eager to tell the son that he has to focus on getting revenge on him. Not the type of thing you hear from a ghost of the protagonist's dead parent. The scene with Ronan finding out that the Supreme Inteligence is "alive" and will be used by the Phalanx was pretty good. Made me intrigued on what will happen. I just wonder why Wraith didn't freed him alongside Super-Skrull and Praxagora.

The whole tsunami part was very silly. Both it being made and stopped by Amadeus.

Clichê and painfully mediocre. So desperately looking for approval it sounds silly. Even the art stumbles sometimes. Steve and Tony look terrible in some panels. Also, both were poorly characterized. Then the Celestials and Sentry shows up just to say "hey guys, I'm here to die in order to show how powerful my OC is". Then Eddie does the clichê edgy shit of throwing the communicator away when everyone is depending on him, then says "you ready" twice to Venom for no reason. Sigh. Trash.

You're telling me the FDA approved this?

Great issue. Very good at creating tension and paranoia. Got worried for a second that Foggie would not believe Matt and think he's crazy again. Not sure i believe in Bullseye being able to come up with a plan like that, but let's see where this story goes.

What a weak solution.

I really don't like generic fights in which characters don't utilize their powers because it would require making them non-generic. Mephisto blasted two characters, then just forgot to you it again. He also forgot literally everything else he can do while a teenager was inches away from killing him. Also Polaris just forgot that as someone who can control metal she can just stop the demons from wielding their metal weapons, including Mephisto's trident.

Dammit Byrne, again ending action scenes abruptily and with an anti-climax because "wink wink fourth wall break hehe". NOTHING happened in this issue. Fourth wall breaks are 90% of the time just a gimmick in this series apparently. Also the slavery bit was cringe. Least the art was good.

Really good issue. The fight between the Moondragons was really interesting. Wish i knew the opinion of people who read more of the 616 version to know if she was in character. She seemed pretty spiteful. Problem is that i'm starting to think we'll just never know how Heather 616 came back from the dead. As for the rest of the story, i found was also pretty well constructed.

Man, that was pretty bad. The art is beautiful but the action is so confusing. I can't understand half the stuff that happens. Geography is never estabilished and you don't even know what is hitting people. Starling uses something we don't even see to cut the drone. We don't even see the girl's body afterwards. Did she died, did she ran away? We don't know. Also the writing isn't very good. The motivation of the antagonist opens potencial to talk about something, but nothing is actually said. Also, she goes full evil by trying to kill Miles's family for no reason, and Miles STILL tries to say she's not a bad person?! What the hell. Some last things: -Miles's dad said because of him his neighbors didn't got hurt, but as far as i noticed he didn't really do anything beyond save his family. Not sure if this was in a previous version of the story that got cut in the final version or what; -Misty Knight just giving them a new appartment is pretty weird and convenient. If the writer cared about making it so that they still have a house, maybe he shouldn't have decided to blow it up. Would have made Rabble less irredeemable. -As for the final page...could be interesting. Could be bad as well. Government agends recruiting villains has been done to death already(and literally already done with Scorpion as well), but maybe it will be fine.

A heel turn like that makes sense when you have a hundred years of time. It makes it easy to fill the blanks and imagine the path the Hulk took in order to go from good to evil. This just shows his path to evil as being very short and linear, which makes it very hard to justify how out of character it is. Still, the issue itself was fine. In a vacuum i would have given a higher score.

Really liked the issue. Damn, Moonstone is evil.

Art is amazing but i barely understood the fight in the beginning. Miles acted pretty weirdly with Misty in the beginning as well.

The art is beautiful, but this is a martial arts-themed comic, so the action has to be great as well, and it simply isn't. The way the conflict between Shang and Dagger started and then went completely ignored after it was dumb.

Fun issue. The Aim guys with a suit while wearing the helmet made me laugh.

Seeing Bullseye being beaten up is always great. Curious to see how they will write Songbird in this team.

Scott Summers is the greates mutant who has ever lived. 🙅‍♂️

A bit too easy to convince but ok.

Confused about what happened with Moondragon, but pretty good issue. Glad i read Rocket 2017 before this.

First story: Bad art for most of it, and the story was pretty bad. Loki just brings Echo to a different planet for...no reason? And makes her solve the problem instead of him do it himself? The flash of the future is possibly a hint towards her becoming the Phoenix host? If that was premeditated back then, that was cool, but otherwise a pretty bad story. Second story: Fun! Great art as well. The representation of the boy's power was really cool, and the 3 panels of the boy asking Dani about her identity as a native and krakoan was cool. Third story: I know absolutely nothing about this. Definitely the story that felt the most dependant on knowledge of the comics mentioned in the second to last page. Impressive deep cut i assume. I wasn't sure if Trigo's powers were to see the past or the future. Wish they made it clearer. Art was great too.

Another great issue. Loved the panels of Scott's dream appearing multiple times. Also loved Tong coming out as trans. Crazy to think that MARVEL was this progressive back in 2012. What happened?

Usually i would never criticize a book due to "convenience" or "plot contrivances", since i hate people who focus on that, but considering that this is a heist issue, the solution to problems the protagonist have to deal with is a very important aspect of it. I had issues with some of the solutions they came up with it. Ignoring the heist itself, the plot was pretty thin, but still good. The characters they just introduced here were interesting. Damn Rocket, you were kinda pathetic.

Wow, that was bad. The fight between Betsy and Isca was so short and weak, and ended without explanation. I knew how the fight between Doug and Bei would end, and i really wondered how they would turn the fight into a marriage. If one of the other characters would try to skirt around the rules in order to allow Doug to live, but turns out there was 0 motivation at all! What the hell was that?! Why would Saturnyne just decided to do a marriage? So dumb Then there's the Jubilee stuff which was brought up out of nowhere. Jubilee didn't knew about the event? Why? Such a dumb conclusion. Also love the "Doug can't understand her because of uhhhhh reasons" At least Phil Noto's art was good, and the scene between Isca and Betsy before the fight was cool.

I'm tired of the whole "prison/safe that's impossible to break and then gets broken in the same issue" but the escape itself was fun. The reveal in the end was fun as well.

Really wanted to give a higher score, but there were some hiccups that prevented me. The Watchmen reference in the beginning made me roll my eyes, but then the later reference(i did it five hours ago) was great. I'm pretty tired of David trashing the X-Men. His argumentation is so dumb. Glad Ruth trashed him for his idea of punishing before the crime.

As a person who only read the this run + Silver Surfer Black(which is amazing and you should definitely read, BTW), and doesn't have any connection with all the other Cosmic MARVEL stories he wrote, i didn't liked it too much. It drops plot points, ignores characters and solves problems in very weak ways.

Worried about what they are going to do with Blake, but the premise is good, and the art is amazing (except for a Loki's face in some panels).

Where does the idea that dictatorships are somehow more safe than democracies comes from? Comic writers love to do this in alt-universe stories.

Won't waste my time Hickman.

Hate how every comic book has to have some giant disaster happening. It hits my suspension of disbelief pretty hard. As for the premisse of the event itself, it's excellent, but i have questions whether they will deliver a story and conclusion with the quality that the premisse deserves. I agree with the law, BTW.

A completely inconsequencial and harmless story, with a gorgeous art.

I like that they brought the subject up, but i don't think Bendis gets to make Miles say "who cares that i'm black? I don't want to be a 'black Spider-Man'. I want to just be Spider-Man", when that's literally the reason why he created Miles. And, hey, i'm glad he did. In any case, good issue, and i love the way Sara Pichelli draws characters of color.

A very good start for a team. If it weren't for a terrible issue #5, it would have been almost perfect.

Very bad issue. Extremely repetitive(i think Kang got hit in the back by a surprise assailant 4 times in this issue), with bad pacing, inconsequencial moments and out of nowhere plot points.

As a person that hasn't read Anihilation, i found it a great start for a solo book. The dialogue sold how his duty was overwhelming very well.

Wonderful issue. Loved the dialogue. The last quarter wasn't as good as the rest, but overall an excellent story.

A painfully mediocre ending for a painfully mediocre book. I don't get why this was so well received. I liked the characters themselves, and their interactions are...fine, but man the tone of the book just didn't worked with me at all.

It's an cool team, and the art is good, but man there is nothing interesting in this book beyond that, and the humor is terrible. Also, there is a lot of information between pages that was lost to me due to the format. A lot of obstructed bodies and faces i couldn't see.

It's an cool team, but it was a very mediocre arch.

Pretty good issue. My first Wonder Woman comic, even though it's not exaactly a Wonder Woman comic. Looking forward to see what happens next, and how connected it is with the Otherkind and the Lords of Order story.

So-so issue. There seems to be a problem with how some characters are used (they just let Quentin and Johnny to do nothing while all the action was happening up there). Cool to see Noh-Varr, Kate and America together.
