Hands down the best written issue of this awful run by Wells as he actually took an issue seriously and when he added comedy, it was actually funny. This felt like his writing on Hellions were I really enjoyed his work which initially had me excited he was given ASM. Hopefully he finally starts taking this run somewhat seriously for the remaining arc of his tenure.

This issue was pretty revealing to how dragged out this run has been and how hollow some of these plotlines really were. This conclusion to the story felt rushed for a series that spun it's wheels on the Heartless plot with some cheesy moments. Still a decent issue but just disappointing for a writer I I used to love. His latest stuff hasn't been up to form to what he did in Injustice and the side stories for DCeased. Hopefully he gets back to his best on Detective with high stake stories with emotional weight.

All of the characters' voices felt so off and all dialogue felt forced to provide generic quippy banter that just didn't work. I really liked all MacKay's Black Cat and Moon Knight issues but so so far his Avengers and X-Men writing has this same issue of feeling very generic.

This was a great issue and much better than the previous batch. It feels like Josie Campbell finally figured out the tone she wants for the series and think she found the perfect balance of silly fun along with a good ongoing story direction. Hoping the rest of the issues are this constant.

This was a solid issue and I liked the resolution of Raven having to embrace her dark and light sides to be whole. The problem is that Taylor continually has all conflicts end with talks in both Titans and Nightwing so it diminishes the affect of when he puts such resolutions to good use.

I really liked this but the event was so rushed that everything happens too fast to carry as much emotional weight as it could have. This story could have been much better had it been 6 issues.

Yay, Ram V's tyrannical ruling over Detective Comics is over! Jokes aside, this issue did have some good moments especially with Mr. Freeze but that doesn't make up for this story line being at least 12 issues too long so I can't applaud these last few decent issues for finally giving us something.

Solid issue with some great moments but the pacing was so fast to fully get immersed in the story. Mora's one of the best artists out there but some scenes got too chaotic to clearly identify what's happening.

I'm a sucker for Bruce & Selina's relationship so this worked for me. Could've used a different scene than the beach where Tom King had them taking a vacation while Bane took over Gotham and killed Alfred though...

I liked the issue but it went by so fast and felt like nothing really happened.

Though this series has been somewhat of a mess and should have been shorter, this issue itself was a blast. The story is pretty ridiculous but Slott does a good job wrapping things up with lots of fun. Slott does get fairly goofy in some of his stories but the jokes usually work and don't ruin the issue unlike the awful writing of Zebb Wells in ASM. This series and Spider-Boy served as great alternative stories to read until we finally get a new writer on ASM.

Certainly the best issue of a run that has went on way too long to sustain any cohesion or excitement. Really liked all the villains rising up to reclaim what's theirs along with Batman taking back Gotham but the lack of investment in the new characters takes away from moments that could have been great. Still solid and good issue in itself.

Adams just keeps showing he's one of the best writers in the business and seems is on track to be a legend in the making. I really hope DC recognizes this and signs him on for a long term deal as I really want more DC stories from him. Adams delivers so much fun and adventure while keeping the stakes high. Another exciting issue providing depth as a tie in pushing the main story further with pay offs to plot points established early in the run.

Another fantastic issue under Aaron's belt. I was so relieved to see how much he understands these characters and knows that Mikey isn't just a "party dude" but is the heart and emotional center of the turtles. I was fully captivated all issue and so appreciative how accurately Mikey was fleshed out throughout the issue. Though I don't love Albuquerque's design of the turtles (with the tall foreheads), his art was so dynamic with such expressive faces.

I'm so glad we have this companion series to keep up with critical side characters like (Karai, Casey, & April) while Aaron focuses on his tale with the turtles. That said I felt both stories to be good but lacking in the excitement you'd want in a first issue. Thankfully each story ends with compelling situations for the following issues and I'm looking forward to what's next. Both Federici and Santaluco absolutely bring it with fantastic art that really elevates the issue.

The hand wavy fix to the Humanimals was pretty lame but I found the rest of the issue to be solid. The Puzzle Man was a good joke of a villain that adds a goofy yet creative way to mix in puzzles for younger readers to enjoy. But then Slott added weight to his threat level when he started erasing the picture of Bailey's mom I was genuinely devastated.

This issue was a vast improvement over the fist issue. Though the story plot isn't very interesting or original, Simone does a great job with Clark, Lois, and Jimmy's voices which added some much needed depth to the story. The back up was painful with Rowell's take on Lois. At least Rowell handled Clark properly rooting on the pogo stick girl.

Great art in general but the story and dialogue are brutally corny. Only issue with the art is how he seems to lean into the goofiness of the story. It's so disappointing that Marvel not only allows but embraces Wells run that doesn't take the title seriously. This feels like a goofy digital comics not the main series. Marvel's been struggling mediocre titles trying to be "fun" that just play off corny.

Some could have been cool moments that are wasted/meaningless due to this story being so dragged out and full of forgettable villains that take away from any excitement and emotional investment.

Another really good issue with great art. Love having the Arrow family together as always but "Red Canary" just has to go. There's no logic to that character being involved in this story and she just takes away focus for the established characters we already don't get enough of.

Cool enough story but Sanford Greene's art is just amazing!

I'm still really digging the art and the manga story vibe but the issue went by far too quick without enough progression for me.

Solid start and the character reveal was fairly obvious but one I was glad to see. It’s great the other characters from the previous IDW run are still getting new stories while Aaron does his thing.

Fantastic issue and a perfect example of how Jeremy Adams is one of, if not, the best writer at DC. He delivers a fun story, ties into the event, delivers great character writing, connects to elements of other/previous writer's stories, all while progressing the main story of the series.

Nice to have a break from the regular team and I actually found this team to be more fun compared to how flat the team feels in the MacKay's main story. Great to see Hazmat starting to show up more often as I was a big fan of Avengers Academy.

This was a fun issue but started to drag a little but in the end had great results with some genuine feels. I've been loving this series but this issue started to show that it may be time to get back to NY for super hero antics as the current concept may start to wear out its welcome.

Great art and awesome to see the Strange Academy kids but unfortunately the stories lack substance for me.

The "bad" Moon Knight mystery and reveal just hasn't been that interesting to me but the Midnight Mission crew and character work has been what's keeping me reading. Hoping the series now goes on to focus on that team with the MM being the true vengeance/legacy of Moon Knight.

It's a shame we have to sacrifice an issue of the current run for a "special milestone" issue that's nothing more in story than an annual would be. The story is basically the another typical generic story that is often found in annuals or milestone issues. That said, at least Zdarsky does a solid job in execution that it was a decent enough read where many of these type of stories lack any substance.

Finally a decent issue after over a year of meandering. Ram V is clearly a capable writer and seems best served for limited series where he's forced to stay focused rather than attempt to wax poetic for years at the fans expense.

Solid issue after the last few have struggled. Amancay Nahuelpan's art is fantastic and far exceeds the cover art.

We couldn't have asked for a better first issue than this. After following a Legendary run, Aaron really had to bring it with something fresh and exciting while honoring the previous stories and he nailed it. The time jump was a great play to add lots of mystery and intrigue while the story itself is tense and dynamic opening the future to many exciting new directions. Joelle Jones' art is just breathtaking and on a whole other level than the fantastic work she did on Batman and Catwoman. So great to have Ronda Pattison back in the mix as she continues to add to her legacy of brilliant coloring in the next phase. This is a must read and a perfect jumping on point for new and life long readers.

I was initially very skeptical on where this issue was going and didn't like the idea of "Bruce Jr." but as the issue progressed it opened a fantastic self examination for Bruce to reflect on his mistakes and what truly matters, family. After years of writers dragging Batman through the mud, pushing away his loved ones, and being broke; Zdarsky put in the work to get things back on track and unite the Batfam. I really hope his runs continues and with this focus post Absolute Power as it would be brutal for another writer head in another overplayed direction. This issue had so much heart in the end and was a highlight of recent Batman issues over the past few years.

Though I fell this arc is an issue too long to keep me interested, Mora's art is just so amazing I really can't complain.

This continues the trend of a being a slog to read due to the heavy narration but in the end King gets to some solid feels for both Diana and Cheetah. However the back issue continues the trend of King being the worst writer of Damian and Jon ever and I'm really hoping other creators don't mistake these awful portrayals to be accurate for these characters in future stories. King portrayal of the Wonder girls is pretty brutal too especially his writing on Yara. Seems he has no clue she's grew up in the US and has her confused for a caveman.

At least Nauck's art is fantastic.

Santoloucco’s art is exceptional special in this issue elevating what’s a typical “overcome your inner obstacles” dream issue.

All the super hero parts of this series just continue to be a complete mess but Williamson continues to delivery lots of fan series heart felt moments while bringing back important characters from Damian's past making this series a must read for me.

This was a fantastic conclusion to a story that I was glad I gave some patience trusting Zdarsky had a plan and I felt he nailed it. Thought each Robin got their time to shine especially the moments with Jason and really just loved the whole issue. Great action, suspense, and most importantly for me emotional moments.

I'll take any little extra bit I can of this show. The show itself is a 10/10 and it's great we get some more time with some of the side characters at the planet.

Though the whole third act of the Krakoa era has been a disappointing mess, Gillen was the one strong writer of this phase and did his best to find a clean conclusion that tied up most the ongoing plot points and honoring where it all began in House/Powers of X. R. B. Silva did an amazing job on art and there were so many unbelievably detailed panels.

Going back reading Waid’s run is a pure joy and this issue is perfection! Waid gets Wally and his afterward on the issue just further expresses that, the heart of this series is Wally and Linda’s relationship and the epic battles are a bonus the hit all our emotions. Just brilliant and had to leave a review rather than shout my joy from the rooftop like a fool.

I like how Diana doesn't break but the issue drags. I would have preferred her not having ate the rat which would have made the ending even stronger showing ho she can't be broken. The back up was actually enjoyable with Damian & Jon as dogs so King couldn't continue his awful depictions of the characters. But that falls apart at the end as they revert back to King's petty portrayal of them.

The story is a blast but Mora's art is just breath taking. This is a truly special run with the dynamic duo of Waid and Mora firing on all cylinders.

This is a fun enough issue with ok writing and dialogue that's borderline corny but Humberto Ramos' fantastic art elevates the story and energy. I really hope that Weisman quickly learns that "less is more" for dialog and stops repeating the same jokes or else this the series will get tiresome quickly.

Gillen does a decent job reveling how things have come to play but I found that I've lost my interest. I loved Gillen's Immortal run but I feel the story has just become so complex and the Krakoa era's become so over bloated that this final rush to the finish of stories just has me eager for a new era for the X-Men. Gillen's work is still the highlight of the line and a breath of fresh air compared to Dugan's issues.

Solid issue with the perfect blend of "something old, something new." I'm really excited to see where Aaron takes the new series and great to see it's a totally original direction while still honoring the previous run's continuity. Waltz's story was really cool too and so happy that we'll have a companion book like Mutant Nation to hopefully give us great side stories like we had in TMNT Universe for our tertiary characters.

There were some awesome moments in this issue but the portrayal of Damian as being so naïve was just awful/unacceptable. Tim is clearly Zdarsky's favorite Robin which is fine and leads to great moments for him in this issue and throughout the run, but playing Damian like a fool isn't needed. I still was able to just accept it as I'm really into this story and Bruce finally has accepted he's stronger with his family.

I can clearly see this direction being divisive and your opinion will vastly depend how open you are to the concept. This book is the farthest from any conception of what an X-Men book is and is more in line with an anime/manga series. I was able to enjoy this issue enough by just shutting off my brain and enjoying time with 2 characters I really enjoy. Duggan's over use of pandering phrases in all his stories has become so cringy at this point and come across as cheap when they're valid themes that can be displayed intelligently with some subtlety.

DC has a HUGE editorial problem and this story is a perfect example.

The Brainiac related back story was alright but the whole Bibbo story was such a grag being far too long and lacking any subtlety. Though I generally agree with Mark Russell's politics, I hate his writing and wish he'd remain off cannon storylines as he's only focused on politics not writing an interesting story.

It’s cool that Luke got the green kyber by cleansing a red one but the way it was displayed with a corny villain was a shame. The fights with Vader were cool and made more sense but the Ahsoka book told the cleansing of her kyber in a far superior way.

I've loved this series as Williamson has a great voice for the arrow family and the issues have been lots of fun. I've been able to gloss over some of the goofy story lines and forced explanations for things but this issue struggled too much to ignore. The whole Sanctuary hard light construct concept and fight were boring and the stuff with Malcom's off world explanations dragged. Really hope things pick up next issue and Williamson can stick the landing to this series (as well as Superman) which I've so far found to be a huge flaw in his previous work.

Jeremy Adams is hands down one of the best writers DC has and I hope they recognize it. This series had a perfect balance of fun, suspense, and heart. The ending with the Flash family at the end was great though it got me upset how Adams was robbed of the main Flash book to make way for Spurrier's awful story.

The story itself was fun but Dan Mora's art is on a whole other level and is some of the best art I've ever seen. This series is truly special with the combo of Mora's breathtaking art and Waid's fantastic voice for these characters.

In my eyes Dick Grayson and Superman are the example of what we should all strive to be. But a huge flaw to this series is how Tom Taylor is constantly having everyone say what a great guy he is that it's tiresome and using the legend Marv Wolfman to do so for pages at the end was too much. I still enjoy the series but miss the days where Taylor excelled at showing how great these characters are rather than constantly saying it where it just comes off as pandering for no reason. I've also been fairly neutral on all the super hero shirts and mugs they have, but that meme shirt was just painfully corny.

This issue was fantastic and feel that my patience with this run is now being rewarded with some very compelling ideas and connections. I could feel my adrenaline pumping as the story progressed and was at the edge of my seat the whole read. Additionally, Jimenez's art is brilliant and elevates the issue to another level. Jimenez is not only my favorite current artist in comics but will go down as one of the best Batman artists in history which is murderers row of talent.

I really like Kelly Thompson but this book is ruff. Don't understand all the love this book's getting.

Dan Slott continues to proves he's one of the all time great Spider-Man writers. This was such a fun issue with a compelling story and cool nods to the past. Thank god we have this to enjoy with the main ASM series being so awful.

This issue was a total mixed bag for me. Sophie excels in emotional moments throughout the issue but this whole story arc has become so convoluted and disjointed that the issue felt so bloated with hand wavy solutions that it felt like a jumbled rush of a final issue. We did get some nice emotional beats with the future versions of the turtle fam throughout the arc, but it was a shame to exclude all the current timeline turtles in the final issue. In the end this was still a good issue full of amazing art and genuine emotional moments. The whole creative team involved in this epic run deserve applause and I could not be more grateful for being treated to such amazing stories. The IDW run is my favorite of all the TMNT comics which is high praise and I can't wait to see where the next phase goes.

Gillon's a very talented writer and does a good job exploring sci fi concepts but they whole story's become so convoluted that it's hard to enjoy.

Great issue that perfectly captured the essence of what this book was capable at when at it's best, a fun cheesy action story with the scoundrels in the Star Wars universe. The problem with the series was that it would get diluted with too many new characters constantly being thrown at you without you ever giving you a reason to get invested in these characters or it would drag on side stories with the less compelling characters. In the end the series was enjoyable but nothing special. All the books of this era have significantly struggled by dragging out the timeline before Jedi too long resulting in mediocre stories. The previous era was far superior and hope the next phase of series can recapture that magic.

This issue was a slog to read and I really didn't jive with King's voice for Superman especially (though not as painful as his voice for Damian & Jon). He's clearly trying to recapture the fun of Date Night (which I really liked) but failed with constant goofy lines from Superman and writing Clark very generic as if he doesn't know Bruce like a brother. So many bad jokes and lines that just made no sense for them to say ("please don't tell Darksied"). That said the final few pages taking the picture and Bruce receiving the gift were fantastic and gave me some feels to see him smile like that but it's just a shame the journey to get there was so poor.

Started out good and I was excited to see Luke cleanse the crystal but once he enters the "evil" memories of the kyber the story really drops off. After all the warnings of this extremely dark all encompassing pain from the memories he'd endure, we're left with a very mundane boring alt reality that is just boring let alone threatening. Still decent overall but I really hope the story picks up significantly next issue.

This was an awesome series but felt the 2 flashback stories in this issue were by far the weakest of them all. But the front and back ends were great with fantastic art making this a solid ending to the series. This will certainly be a trade I recommend to friends who don't typically read comics.

This story and concept was fairly interesting but with all the current Star Wars series already feeling uninspired and like they're treading water, this crossover just dragged the line down further. However rating it on it's own, was a fairly enjoyable story.

The IDW TMNT run has been truly special and Sophie Campbell's art and writing have been a huge part of that but this time crisis/QNA story line isn't working for me. Everything just feels to convoluted and all over the place losing any tension or my concern for the outcome. There is still some good character work and emotional moments such as how devastated I was to see Lita de-mutated. Great art too. I really hope it all comes together in the final issue.

I'm not a fan of defining the Joker's past but the story of the past timeline does have my interest and presents some interesting ideas but I'm not really into the future timeline. The final issue has a lot of work to do to make this a worthwhile story and I really hope he sticks the landing.

The first half was mediocre and the whole Shush & Manbat story is weak but the second half was great and I'm all about the feels between Bruce & Damian bonding. Hyped for next issue to get more Flatline too.

Another solid issue with fantastic art by Ron Marz. The flawless facial expressions do so much to portray strong emotional moments without the need for dialogue.

The story kept getting more interesting as it went on and all reveals were earned and previously presented in related series. I've been somewhat disappointed with Taylor's latest writing as I have such high expectations for his work and he really delivered here. Major events and consequences with that classic TT emotional and fun moments with perfect characterization. DC & Marvel should also learn that this story was also great due to a quick release schedule and didn't got bogged down with tons of bad or pointless tie ins.

Though I doubt Tom King will make any of this book part of his main story in the end, I don't even care as Campbell does such a good job with these characters and this was such a fun read.

The art is great but this story keeps dragging on to nowhere. This run could have potentially been good in 12 issues tops but it just keeps slowing going on continuing the same beats.

Great to have Hester on art here going back to the well of him and Smith's classic run with their Onomatopoeia story. This book's just a fun solid read each week and I really hope Williamson sticks the landing with this and his Superman stories.

Fun issue to get some character work for Damian at school but really hope the principal is actually reformed and the Shush story has a satisfying reveal. Was also pleased that the art was much better here than before and seems to lend itself far better to more traditional coloring.

I typically don't like Jason Aaron books and get bogged down reading Bizarro talk, but this was a great start and I'm really liking everything Aaron's bringing to the table in DC so far. Seems he's been reinvigorated writing for DC and looking forward to this and Batman Off World continuing.

McKay really needs to spend some time slowing down and focus on character work which is what he's best at. Each issue has been quickly losing steam due to nonstop end of the world threats but having most of this issue be just a dream was really lame. The art was great and still keeping faith McKay finds his groove.

As someone who rolled his eyes upon Spider-Boy's introduction and was extremely skeptical of this new character, I got to give Dan Slott praise for how much fun I found this issue to be. Slott just knows how to write great Spider-Man stories and nails a perfect balance of comedy and character work (unlike the current Spider-Man run) for a series that I'm excited for more.

The Dark Web crossover was atrocious and completely ruined Limbo just making it a complete joke. Now bringing that awful story and characters back into the series just continues to drag this series down after being on a decent pace of late. Zeb Wells thinks his "clever" Bizarro Spider-Man character Rek-Rap is a hilarious hit, but is proving he should not be given the chance to write series for Marvel's top characters and should be kept for books like Deadpool.

Only 2 issues in and this is the best Captain America book since Brubaker's infamous run. I'm finally excited to read Marvel comics again after years of mostly mediocre stories thanks to books like this, FF, Daredevil, and Hulk.

I love the dynamic between Damian and Bruce, but there are some really corny things happening such as Man-Bat not dying because he was preserved in a cocoon due to all the formulas he's taken. Also making Man-Bat the "big bad" with Shush as his stooge, really make that character a chump and will be awful if she actually ends up being Damian's former teacher.

I enjoyed the issue but the fact that this team is supposed to be the replacing the Justice League and the story read more like an episode of Captain Planet is a problem. Hopefully Beast Wars elevates the stakes to give them a major threat.

This was a decent issue but some jarring moments that were way too much much like the demeaning talk of Steve Treavor and the over the top stripping of masculinity stuff. The narration is far better than typical King but this trop is starting to get old 3 issues in. That said I'm still into the story and the back up was fun with great art.

I'm not a a fan of Jason Aaron but wanted to give him a fair chance with his move to DC and see if it reinvigorates him to tell some interesting stories. That said, I found this to be a solid first issue and appreciated it having a unique story and feel than the Batman & Detective books. Hope it keeps up the pace and sticks the landing.

This was a perfect blend of a horror comic and a goofy buddy action flick. The art was great and the mix of black & white for the monsters where Elza was in color looked cool but lacked any logic and felt like a cheap gimmick referencing the show. Just hope future artist don't think Werewolf by Night needs to be B&W just because one TV special did it.

Thank god Gotham War is over and Zdarsky's run can continue without being dragged down by Tini Howard and Matthew Rosenburg's terrible writing. This issue gets right back to a compelling high stakes story with the Joker that nicely ties back the Chip's The Knight and Morrison's Zur-En-Arrh. Though the Joker can feel overplayed, the problem is with too many inept writers telling Joker stories so for me this is a breath of fresh air to have a capable writer using him. The back up is also great and nice to not only have Zdarsky writing it, but excellent that there's more to be done with Vandall Savage without being bogged down by the Gotham War. Jimenez's art is brilliant as always.

The stiff art and color pallet used also lend to a lifeless read. With that said there's still interesting themes being explored that I can stick with this for the final issue.

There were too many new characters thrown at us all at once that it makes it hard to care about the group dynamics at this point. The art is ok but has a style that plays more to a goofy story which really makes it even harder to take this Dark Droids "event" serious as it's been underwhelming from the start. All the Star Wars books are struggling from lack luster stories due to treading water.

If you told me this issue would premiere "HELLVERINE" I would have rolled my eyes and been grateful I dropped the Wolverine run, but man this story is tons of fun and exactly what a Wolverine/Ghost Rider crossover should be. Just a fun over-the-top romp with plenty of monsters and violence.

I really enjoyed the issue but did find some of the scenes like Yara being able to sneak into a top level Presidential meeting to be pushing it a little too far. The art was great too but there were some scenes that were a little confusing.

Rather than find a character's voice, Si Spurrier just decides to impose his voice into the characters he's writing and it's extremely jarring and pretentious. This is why I tend to avoid his work but I gave him a fair shot as I love Wally. Lesson learned that Spurrier just can't help himself and I'll stick to avoiding his work from now on regardless of how much I love the characters he's holding hostage. It's criminal the Jeremy Adams run was canceled far too early to shift gears to this and hopefully the sales indicate this was a misstep forcing DC to learn their lesson.

Remaining cautiously optimistic as I haven't liked King's writing since the early stages of his Batman run but this was another good issue. Though most of DC's backups of late have been awful, this one's interesting and I'm very excited to see Josie Campbell given a Yara Flora story and think she'd be the perfect writer to give that character the run she deserves.

I was shocked to actually enjoy this. Note that I read on Marvel Unlimited so my review doesn't reflect the cost of the issue. Wells has been way too "silly" in this series (especially the insufferable Inferno "event") but this issue toed the line enough on the goofiness to have some fun without being nonsense. Wells had a good balance of storytelling with comedic beats in Hellions but has yet to carry that quality over in this series. Hoping things pick up though I haven't loved many of the directions he's been going. I even liked most the back ups.

I'm still devastated Jeremy Adams' run was cut far too short and replacing him with Si Spurrier hurt even more as I'm usually not a fan of his work. That said, this was a solid issue to set up some interesting threats while also doing a decent job spending time with the Flash family which Adams excelled at. The art is also fantastic and the freaky scenes are some of Deodato's best work.

If Johnson and Williamson can both maintain the quality of each series, this will go down as a special moment for classic Superman stories.

Can't wait until this run is over.

Williamson is doing a fantastic job of harnessing the flavor of the animated series and classic characters while also expanding the world and introducing compelling new villains. My only concern is how awful Williamson's events have been and I really hope he doesn't drop the ball on what could be a classic run. Also have to applaud Williamson on putting in a recap page which is needed throughout DC's line.

I'm not longer a fan of Tom King since about half way through his Batman run but this was a fairly good issue and interesting new direction to take the series. The biggest flaw is the terrible premise that all these people are being deported and murdered as the result of a bar brawl with one Amazonian. There should have been a more high stakes event to set off such events. Either way, I can roll with this and try to be optimistic with King's run as Wonder Woman has been plagued with terrible writers for too long and any change of direction is welcome at this point.

They've stretched this era out too far and these latest stories are bad. This book has was never as good a Gillen's run but was still good enough but starting with the Sabe storyline it's been on a steep downward trend.

I love the show and heard great things about this book but it just didn't do it for me.

This book is a breath of fresh air compared to Gotham War and the played out rift amongst the bat family that's been a never ending cycle for too long in recent runs. Though his recent "events" have been awful, Joshua Williamson has done such great work with Damian and he truly understands the character so I'm hoping he continues to write enough Damian stories that other writers will pick up on what makes him so great. My only problem with the issue was the art. The artist clearly has talent and I love anime influenced style but there's something about it that's hard to follow at times and took away from the issue. It seems to zoom in too far during the action and you can't good sense of what's going on.

I was really concerned having Tini Howard involved in this crossover as I don't feel any writer can salvage anything she's involved in but this issue somewhat tainted my feelings on Zdarsky's writing (who I find to be one of the best writers currently at the big 2). Dick Grayson saying Bruce needs to get off his "Moral Ledge" is practically blasphemy. Dick and Superman are supposed to be the moral compass of the DCU so he would never make such a statement of act like this. Just when it seemed the Bat-family was finally in a good place and getting along, we' thrown right into another rift that we keep seeing repeated through each writer's runs and it's getting so old and frustrating at this point. The Bat line is in dire need of a capable editor to manage the direction of these books and to challenge the writers to re-assess their ideas to get the most out of their potential. On a more positive note, it's so great to have Jorge Jimenez back on this book as his art style is amazing bringing so much life to it. Easily my favorite artist right now.

Kelly Thompson is exactly what DC needs. I've been eager for her to come over to DC for a while as I feel she's the best female writer at the big 2 and DC really lacks quality writers on their female characters' books. Birds of Prey is perfectly suited for her style and had a decent start that I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Hoping/expecting she evolves the team dynamics and character relationships further as it continues. Though it's not my favorite, I really liked the art and have to applaud the classic comic feel Romero brings to the table to make this book unique and the colors compliment the art extremely well.

Wow this issue impressed me and I’m really excited where this goes. I didn’t read much of the Ultimate universe aside from Mike’s and the elements that tied into Hickman’s FF and Avengers run that led into Secret Wars so I wasn’t hyped for this but gave the first issue a chance. Once we see what the maker appears to be up to, I was fascinated to see where this goes..

This issue was literally incredible! With all the poor quality books marvel is pumping out, this series already stands out as one of the few to actually get excited about. The whole monster theme Johnson is going for starts off great and has me eager to see where it goes. Plus Klein’s art is just breathtaking and couldn’t fit the tone of the theme better.

I used to love Tom Taylor and held out hope he'd come to a satisfying end here but man what a waste of time. Not only do we not a get a satisfying conclusion to Jon or Injustice Superman's stories, but the whole issue felt like Tom Taylor apologizing for his Injustice work when anyone with a brain accepted it was an Elseworld's story. Nightwing started out great until it just became the perpetual "Nightwing is awesome" series without resolving major plots, his Jon Kent work's been ok, and Teen Titans has so far been disappointing with the writing quality of an average digital first. Shame he couldn't keep up the magic he brought to the table on Injustice, Unkillables, and the DCeased digital spin off.

This had to be the best issue of what's so far been a disappointing series lacking a direction. Nice to see him finally put Firestar to use and really hoping all these threats that have been teased for too long will finally come to a satisfying head.

Wells never created a valid reason for Ms. Marvel to be shoehorned in this series and further didn't even include her in meaningful conversations to make her part of the story. Marvel editorial's agenda for a money grab to cash in on some attention and then change her to a mutant later on, is so transparent it's embarrassing. Meanwhile Spider-Man fan just keep taking the abuse. Struggling to even continue reading even via Marvel Unlimited.

This is the only current Marvel book that I get excited for a new issue. North is doing a fantastic job balancing science fiction concepts, character work, twilight zone nostalgia, and super hero action that are also just simply fun to read. Really hoping North gets to have a long run as this hands down the best Fantastic Four run in the modern era next to Hickman's. I also have to praise the beautiful art and coloring of each issue.

I really hope Josie Campbell sticks the landing on this as I feel she may be the best writer DC has to finally provide a readable Wonder Woman series post Greg Rucka. Her track record from her work on New Champion of Shazam and the AMAZING My Adventures of Superman, already show she's a far better suited writer for the character than Tom King (all set with a depressing Wonder Woman story where half the writing is just old song lyrics).

Solid ending to a story that I wasn't really enjoying previously. Though we don't get much Aphra, it's nice to get even just a couple words from her written by anyone other than Ally Wong.

Great issue and satisfying conclusion. Overall the Armageddon Game was good but could have been so much stronger with a tighter story and cast. The addition of all the new space characters really dragged the story down and really wish they were not included so we'd have a stronger/less convoluted story focusing on the characters that had purpose to the story. In the end I don't feel like the story was worth all the money spent on the oversized issues and tie ins and would have played much better being a prolonged story in the main series. Going to stick with the next few issues but think this may be a jumping off point as the series doesn't have the magic it had for the first 100 issues (which is a huge accomplishment for any series).

Great issue but the delays have killed all momentum to this series. Looking forward to reading it all at once and hope for a better experience.

Ok issue but Taylor isn't delivering the great character work or dialog that he used to. Having Bruce say Superman killed his son was way out of line and almost took me right out of the issue.

Really liked Adam's "Almost Got 'Im" story for a fun one shot but really wish he had a stronger finish to his fantastic run and devastated that it's come to a close. The Bart story was great but the Spurrier story further increases my concern with him replacing Adam's as his writing style is a terrible fit for these characters.

The art in this was amazing and I really hope to see a long run with Fero Pe on board. Would have loved it if they were the artist for Armageddon Game. The story was good and carried some emotional weight though I'm concerned we've already had many amazing similar issues and fear getting them too often will start to take away from their impact. But seeing Mikey as a big time celeb in the future was the best!

Nice to see everything coming to a head but feel like the event struggles from too many new characters all at once that it often takes away the emotional impact from the story. Personally the art style has not been my favorite and the panels have been too tight and up close during fights that it's not that clear what's going on. Still a good issue and interested to see how it all wraps up.

Wow, this was bad. I was very optimistic for Zeb Wells' run but this issue makes me very nervous. Inferno was great for being a serious story with goofy elements but this shows Dark Web is trying to capture that but is failing by going so cheesy goofy even in the villains portrayals that there's no story to be invested in.

Solid issue with really nice art. The coloring is fantastic and Ronda Pattison continues to cement herself as one of the best colorists in the history of comics.

Such a relief to finally get a great issue out of this series that has been disappointing for me compared to what I expect from the ongoing series. Sophie kills it with the art and story that quickly develops Venus into a compelling character.

This arc may be good but really struggles with bad timing. Batman being "dead" after just coming back in Crisis and too much multi-verse focus going on everywhere, really makes it hard to buy into another one. But the issue was interesting and better than what we're getting in Detective so I'm positive overall but would have been better if Zdarsky adjusted his plans accounting for what's just happened in the DCU.

The art of the fist part of the story is great with a cool anime style that's very dynamic to really give the fight a sense of energy on the page. The story is fairly basic but I was fine with it to finally get some more Alopex in the series without some of the jarring issues I felt with the last two Alliance issues. Decent issue in what's so far been a really disappointing "event."

Got to say this series is proving to be a let down with each issue. It feels stretched too thin with too many new characters or random side missions that aren't interesting so far. The art is also pretty disappointing for a big crossover as the TMNT tie in issues art is stronger. I'm really hoping Waltz ties it all together by the end.

This issue was much stronger than the start to the new arc and is more in line with what I was expecting from Ram V. He thankfully dialed back the cringe "poetic" dialogue/monologue from characters that would never speak that way and really hoping that continues to not take away from the story he's telling.

This book is in dire need of a new writer. I've been going along for my love of Aphra but it's getting to a point where this run is taking away from the perceived relevance of the character.

Howard Porter is a talented artist with a dynamic feel but is just not for me. I could deal with it through Shadow War as the story was entertaining, but when paired with a mediocre story the combination was a disappointing issue.

Solid issue filling in the scenes for the Armageddon Game while giving the side characters some focus. A big stand out for this issue is the fantastic artwork of Fero Pe. Personally it felt like the art dipped below the usual high standards of the series as of late, so I had to applaud the great art for this issue.

Was so excited for Zeb Wells' run on Spider-Man after his amazing Hellions run but so far the story is really lacking. Romita's art also doesn't help. I'm cool for waiting to find out what happened in the 6 months but this issue kind of dragged at points and Tombstone's feelings on Robbie & Randy are suddenly the exact opposite of where he was just at. Hope it all makes sense in the end.

Don't get the Al Ewing hype but he's clearly not for me so gonna drop this run. I love sci fi stories, but personally don't find he's able to tell compelling or even interesting stories.

Wow, what a fantastic issue! Sophie became one of my favorite artists right from her early issues in Northampton and her she is returning as writer this time with another truly special issue. Love all the mysticism and character work done here and can't wait for more. Also have to give props to Tunica on getting better at the proportions, which really took me out of the last issue, and hope the trend continues as he certainly has talent.

Good issue but the amount of surface level dialogue is pretty jarring. Both Nightwing & especially Son of Kal-El have had this problem which really takes away from the story. Taylor usually excels at dialogue and heart felt stories so hoping he dials it in on these books.

I've been consistently reading each issue for love of the character while placing faith in Alyssa Wong to find a groove with some interesting stories but as of late this book just seems to be dragging on through a purgatory of mediocrity. I really hope they find a new writer for this series to invigorate the story before anyone starts losing interest in the character.

I was pumped for this run when it was announced Zeb Wells was the author as his Hellions run was amazing but I have to admit I was devastated to hear Romita Jr. would be the artist as I found his latest work on Superman to be jarringly terrible. That said I was pleasantly surprised the find that he really did a great job (for what his style is) on this #1 and hope coming back to Marvel is what he needed. Overall this was a solid first issue where there are a few off-putting things at play but knowing Zeb's previous work am confident will for a valid reason that will be addressed/resolved as the story unfolds. This issue does exactly what a first issue should do: spark curiosity, be entertaining, and give us an idea of where the series is headed. I will say I HATE how Marvel just won't let Peter & MJ be happily married as it clearly works brilliantly for Louis & Clark. Else world stories nail at how fun the family aspect of poppa Peter with lil' Annie can be a blast but unfortunately appears it doesn't seem that editorial will allow that for one reason or another though Miles already fills the slot as the young Spider-Man.

Each issue just seems to be losing me as the whole quick to condemn people to the pit over minor things doesn't gel with the other books. I do see Xavier as a very questionable character but feel he'd just mind wipe the kid rather than tossing him in the pit. But I did highly appreciate the historical facts sprinkled into the story as well as showing what those betrayed by their nation/public justice system have to overcome and how I'd feel if it happened to me which elevated this issue from a 6.5 to a 7 for me.

It's unfortunate that the art of late has been an issue for me. Pablo Tunica is clearly a talented artist but he draws everyone with the proportions of little kids. The cover alone looks like a child dressed as Shredder or as everyone was de-aged in the story. The facial expressions have also been quite jarring, especially Alopex which is a shame as Sophie is writing a solid issue with some strong emotional moments that the art is really diminishing. A shame as the art is good aside from those issues but they're so significant it's really hampering my experience of these latest issues. Hopefully others aren't struggling with it as much as I love this series and want the readership to stay strong.

Really enjoyed the story and art of the Batman/Zatanna story thought the talk between Superman and Batman was very jarring and off character. The Wight Witch was readable but very cliché story trope for a character that doesn't feel warranted to have a past with Bruce. The last two were the standard throw away stories we seem to get in this book and won't be reading the rest of those.

I'm a huge fan of Tom Taylor but this whole story just felt like a dud and not up to his usual caliber at all. Similar to Justice League Last Ride which was another mediocre story by a fantastic writer.

I liked how we got an issue to focus on the characters' mental and emotional status with everything they've been dealing with but some of the dialogue felt somewhat heavy handed or unnatural. The art was ok and it was nice to have a change in style for a story like this where facial expressions were really needed to convey their emotions but some facial features were pretty jarring. I also really hope we get some resolution to Rahne's son as she seems to be at an emotional stand still the whole series.

Man this was a fantastic issue to a great new arc. I was worried the series was starting to drag but really feel like it’s back to some new exciting ideas. I was also very skeptical of Tunica’s art in his first issue but feel he’s really found his groove dialing back the jarring facial expressions and does a great job playing with a horror tone. Can’t wait for the next issue!

Though the whole beginning seemed offensively nonsensical, a few parts made me laugh so I can't criticize it that harshly. In the end the book got back to serious story telling again that led to major revelations for Ben to learn and should continue an intriguing story. Ziglar just needs to dial down on the attempted jokes that fail at comedy but excel at making great characters like Doc Oc, Colleen, and Misty come across as jokes. All said and done the book averaged out for a solid issue thanks to the end.

I can easily say this was the worst issue of a comic I've ever read. I am a huge fan of most of what Bendis did at Marvel from Jessica Jones, Avengers, and even X-Men runs but it's as he's since his move to DC his books have just been getting worse to the point that they're now just unreadable. I read through DC Universe so reading an issue is free but can no longer waste my time or deal with the aggravation of this run.

This book is amazing and highly recommended for any fan of the Twilight Zone and/or Rod Serling. I always loved the show since a kid but having gone back to rewatch the whole series as an adult, I gained a new appreciation for how ahead of it's time it was with concepts that still hold up to this day. What was most striking was that I never realized that Rod Serling wrote the majority of episodes which quickly elevated him amongst the gods of science fiction in my eyes. Needless to say I had to read this book the second I discovered it and can gladly say it exceeded my expectations. Rod lived such an incredible life and to follow his journey to see how his ideas grew and formulated was fascinating. The book is written with perfect pacing while allowing the art to tell what it's there to do. The art is fantastic and the perfect style to give the feel of early black & white television.

I used to love Bendis books back in the Marvel days, now his writing is unreadable and a shame he's just trying to force all his failed or ignored stories from his disappointing Superman and Leviathan runs into the Justice League. Solid art and still enjoying the JLA Dark backups fortunately.

As a huge fan of the original run, I was a disappointed with the first arc and nervous for the series but the last issue picked up and I really feel that Wong found Aphra’s voice and how to write the character in this issue. The first arc had to many additional characters that seemed to bog down the issues taking attention away from Aphra. I also have to praise Mikul Jung’s amazing art and has drawn the best Aphra of the current series by a landslide. Really hope this is the turning point for a great series.

I was a huge fan of most of Bendis' work over at Marvel and was excited to see him make his way to DC but man after trying to be positive at first on Superman which ended up being a total disappointment in the end, this Justice League run so far is just a dud. All the characters are too jokey sounding the same and the book just feels like a back door pilot for Naomi. At least there's the JL Dark backup to enjoy.

Been really liking this run under Ram V but this issue just felt like a waste of time with stories that didn't add any interesting insight to Selina's history.

This is a great issue and totally has me sold on this new creative team. Great balance of comedy, heart, and interesting story to hopefully put the unfortunate story of Heroes Crisis behind him.

Big fan of Sophie Campbell and liked the concept of character day to day life focused stories post issue 100 at first, but this current run is really starting to drag and feels like it's treading water. I've loved many silent issues but feel the images just weren't strong enough to show a compelling story. I love the turtles and will stick with the series but really hope things start to improve.

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised that this was an enjoyable issue. I didn't care for the character portrayals in issue #1 and honestly usually do not like Williams writing but this was a decent issue and hope the rest of the series picks up from here.

Chip Zdarsky is one of my favorite current Marvel/DC writers with his Daredevil and Red Hood series, but this story has been somewhat boring so far so hopefully it picks up next issue.

Man for such a promising and fun start, Spencer's run is really going out on a lull. After fully developing Boomerang into such a great character it's a shame how his death felt so rushed and almost glossed over to lose all emotional weight it should have held. The play to have Doc Oc foil kindred's plan was solid as true to the character but the conclusion to this "war" doesn't read like an end and should have had a confrontation between Peter and Kindred. Really hoping the next ASM issue has a somewhat satisfying conclusion.

I'm a big fan of Gene Luen Yang and think every human should read his perfect Superman Smashes the Klan and have also been enjoying his latest Shang Chi runs, but his start to this series has been a huge disappointment. The fantastic art and occasional funny lines just aren't enough to make up for what's feeling more and more over a jumbled story that's losing my interest more each issue. Hopefully once this arc is done the series picks up.

Fun story, leaning into the campy theme while balancing an interesting story, great characters, and amazing art.

Finally feels like we're starting to get a good grasp on the characters and their chemistry. This series has so much potential with the concept as well as being written & drawn by two of Marvels top creators but so far hasn't reached what it could be but it's starting to feel like it's getting there. Really hoping they found that magic and run with it.

This book finally feels like it's starting to give us some idea of the new kids and hopefully will continue to do so rather than just relying on the "who is Red X" trope that isn't enough to keep a story interesting. Fingers crossed this gets better as the potential is there.

This book just continues to be fantastic. Kelly Thompson's witty dialogue with the amazing art style of this book finds a great blend maintaining the espionage style a Black Widow story should have with laughs and charming characters making each read a joy.

I really enjoyed this issue as stories like this better the series rather than some of the other other-worldly threats that just didn't seem to fit. This issue gave Jed MacKay a chance to write good witty dialogue that is fun and shows how great Felicia is.

Though the Scooby-Doo-esque "let me explain to you how I did it" beginning was a little cheesy, the issue was solid and really picked up as it went along. Really happy to see the consistency between not just the Bat/Gotham books but even Swamp Thing and how things are tying together and impacting each other.

I was a huge fan of Bendis back at Marvel but it really feels like he's totally lost his touch since coming to DC and the overuse of banter takes away from when it could be good. The Justice League Dark backup has been more interesting and telling more of a story in half the pages.

I've been a big fan of this series but feels it's fell off the track and has been way too rushed and overloaded with characters & plots that have really made the issues feel jarring/boring. With such a chaotic tone with nothing happening besides non-stop fighting each issue, it's a real disappointment if this series can't stick the landing and give us a good wrap up to the Kindred story with great character development.

Amazing art and solid writing. Really looking forward to get more Yara Flor.

So disappointing but what I should have expected from the writer as I tend to find most of her stories not for me. Besides the extensive dialogue (which I don't mind when interesting), the characters don't seem to be acting in line with their current status in the books. Magneto especially comes across as his 90's villain phase and the art also further depicts characters acting more aggressive than you'd expect in some situations. Hopefully the other issues improve as an X-Event in this current status of great books should be exciting to read.

This series started out so strong and felt like the last few issues gradually lost some steam but was happy to see he stuck the landing in this final issue. The trope of the heroes getting taken over by symbiotes feels so played out with recent Marvel stories, but was a good way to relieve Peter from being guilty by law for his crimes. The play of Johnny disguising as Peter to take out the symbiote was clever and liked Sue's presence here too.

This story's kind of a bore and though this whole transition arc about John coping with the burden of living up to his father's mantle has felt really surface level and repetitive, I felt this issue had better examples of what John's dealing with.

The Joker story was great as usual especially with the ending but the Punchline story backup was a bore and feels like this story is dragging and I've lost my interest in it.

As Damian is my favorite Robin (not counting Dick), I was nervous a book with a Mortal Kombat theme would do him justice but not only was the writing and story great but the art is fantastic! Looking forward to more and great start.

Best issue from the new creative team and hope the books stays to this level. After being burnt by suffering through the terrible bonus stories, I skipped this one to not end a good issue with a bad taste in my mouth.

This book blew me away and felt like an instant classic in just the first few issues. Has all the elements that I look for in a great horror story from interesting characters, intriguing storyline, witches, pantheons, monsters, ghosts, suspense, and that a constant uneasy tension throughout. On top of that the art is just brilliant and compliments the story to perfection. Amazing character designs and expressions with a beautiful water color finish. I can’t recommend this book enough and had to leave this praising review before I dove into volume 2.

Another drag of a boring issue further making a joke of the phoenix force and our loved characters with pointless fights and cliché tropes of characters saying things that feel off base for what we know of them. I was really liking the beginning of Aaron's run and was pumped to see where it was leading but the Moon Knight issues really seemed to be a bore and this arc has been especially brutal. Hoping we can get back to some better stories once this arc is finally over with.

No one captures the soul and heart of a turtles story better than Sophie Campbell’s art and writing. This issues took the reflective time needed after the high stakes city at war to breath and assess where each character is at and establish a new direction to come. Perfect 10/10 for the art and writing and can’t wait to follow the next step in the journey the whole IDW team has masterfully given us to enjoy.

Great wrap up to one of the best sci fi adventure stories ever. This book had so much character depth with beautiful art it will go down as a classic for the ages.

Great issue that wrapped up the city at war arch leaving plenty of new directions for the book to go. The conclusion felt a little rushed but the resulting emotional ending scene after totally made up for it.
