Well what can I say? This is yet another forgettable crossover from Marvel Comics. I understand this is supposed to be a harmless fun crossover but I reread every single annual and this ain't fun. It has mediocre and inconsistent Art (only exception is the thor annual), unsatisfactory endings, and bland characters. A story featuring the most popular marvel superheroes and Infinity stones ends with the heroes talking about their feelings to the villain. I am not trying to say dc comics is better than marvel comics since I am being objective but I will say t least dc comics puts more effort in their art. Seriously, I dont care about the person possessed by the soul stone in the story. They have expositional dialogue and a bland personality. This story ends with that person talking to the Avengers and leaving. Heck, the iron man and captain america dialogue was also boring because it doesn't have good chemistry. I will say infinite fury is actually good and if we judge infinite fury alone its an 8 out of 10. If u like it, then its fine. But for me this isn't worth your time because it has terrible endings and lackluster action.

Whoever liked this needs to get their eyes and brain checked because this is the worst modern DC comic I read. yes, even worse than Gotham high. As a huge DC comic Fan, I would highly encourage anyone to NEVER read this series.

This is a crossover event that features multiple heroes, and the majority of this event are people..... TALKING for 90 percent of the issue. This event literally does not need to happen at all, the dialogue is bland, the art style is mediocre, the characters are bad, and the pacing Is sluggish. I am not trying to say if DC is better than Marvel, but say what you want about Tynion's Batman, at LEAST he can hire great artist and there is at least great fight choreography in his Batman run. His recent Batman issue was pretty bad, but at least it doesn't have a huge exposition load in your face compared to this atrocious issue. Literally, this whole fight was a Younger prime talking about pure exposition dialogue that is bland, and his backstory isn't that interesting. This issue ends with the Younger Prince TOUCHING Hercules and he automatically beats the villain. If this is a regular series then I would be fine. But this is a CROSSOVER event, I expect more creativity and effort in how the hero beats the villain in this event. Jesus Christ, I'm only excited for Sinister War, Dark Ages, and X-Men: Inferno.

It still personally blows my mind on how people will trash on DC Comics and complain about DC Comics sucking really badly and giving other DC Comic series 1 out of 10 because a character reads manga, yet they're silent about this. Modern Marvel Comics is TRASH as hell, and its objectively true. How is Danny Rand "not worthy" of the Iron Fist yet somehow okoye is? At least DC Comics doesnt treat its characters like trash the majority of the time. At least DC Comics listens to the fans and cares for them. In two years we have had Starlord turned bisexual because of Chris Pratt, Marvel compares Jordan Peterson to a Nazi for no reason, and now this. Jesus Christ, people are saying DC Comics needs better writers? Marvel Comics needs better writers and get rid of the hacks. What a piece of trash this series is. Save your money and dont read this series.

Sorry for the influx of comic book reviews I have pouring in, but I just found this website a few months ago and I'm trying to review all the comics I read. For this book, well what can I say? The worst modern DC Comic book of all time, and arguably the worst. This ruined Wally West (why would he frame a murder) forever, and it took a really long time for him to recover. The only thing that made this story not a complete 0 out of 10 is the art.

This is a crossover featuring Spider man, the most popular superhero of all time. This is also a crossover that has the gof damn INFINITY STONES. So why does the art and dialogue super crappy amd mediocre? The fight scenes are bland and underwhelming, I don't care about this star character, and the backup story was bad. Look, I like DC Comics more than Marvel Comics. But can we PLEASE get rid of Brian Michael Bendis? He isnt the same writer as he was when he did Ultimate Spider-Man. The only good modern story he did was All New X-Men and Batman: Detective.

Well.... another bland event from Marvel I say. The art is pretty mediocre, the dialogue is cheesy. Doctor Doom is treated like a joke, the heroes didnt need to be there at all, if you remove Spider-Man, Avengers and Black Bolt then the story really wouldn't have changed, Chton gets basically one-shotted even though he's an Elder God, and the fights were pretty unmemorable. If you like it, its totally cool. But for me, this is another forgettable event from Marvel Comics.

tom king is the most overrated comic book writer of all time. I read this series just so I can actually have hte credentials to critique it, and wow. Usually I say critics are right, but I dont know how critics can give this a positive review. All the flashbacks to the past and flashforwards to the future dont matter at all, it all felt like a waste of time. This 12 issue series should have been a single one-shot to be honest. The dialogue is clunky and the art is mostly good. overall, dont read this series. This entire series is a 3 out of 10, and thats because of the art.

Jesus christ, at least dc comics can make their crossover events more consistent and entertaining. The art in this crossover is inconsistent, mediocre dialogue, the fights are bland, the squadron Supreme are boring versions of the crime syndicate. Day what you want about dc comics but at least they actually CARE AND PIT IN EFFORT for their stories. This story is a rip off of Forever Evil, House of M, an episode of avengers assemble, and age of apocalypse. How do you go from king in black to this??? Save your money and don't buy this forgettable crossover. Read better crossovers like King in Black and War of the Realms

Well.... this was a let down. The art was bland, the action was lackluster, the dialogue was all over the place, the pacing was terrible, for a story that is supposed to be about Spider-man and chameleon, you barely see Spider-man in this story. It's mostly Spider Man's SISTER for god sake. This ending did not change anything at all. Seriously, after Sins Rising it's like Nick Spencer lost his motivation because Last Remains was underwhelming and King's Ransom as well as Chameleon Conspiracy are terrible.

The fact that the writer made Red Skull be based on Jordan Peterson simply because the writer had a different political view is honestly hilariously bad. This is why I prefer DC Comics over Marvel Comics, because they at least prioritize good writing.

It honestly totally makes sense to hire the guy who hates America to write a Captain America story. The art is bland, the dialogue is weird, Steve Rogers is boring, and I'm excited to see Ta Nehisi Coates leave.

This is one of the few anthologies I like, and this is probably one of the few favorites from Marvel. I like how we know Falcon's secret story on his shield, I like how Bucky and Steve Rogers, I like how Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers trained, and I like the story on how Steve Rogers interact with other heroes while still staying true to his 1940s boy self, as well as Cap helping out the kids take down hydra agents.

I am going to be honest, I actually had some high hopes for this event. Batman usually has good comic book events, and unpopular opinion: I really liked Joker War, Fear State, and Shadow War. I think its cool that Batman had his own trilogy of good comic book events. This is going to be a long answer. This event however.... well lets just say the event started off on the wrong foot. Now, I am going to say that I'm not a corporate boot licker, or that I'm not one of those political people. I am a moderate Democrat, but I really dont care if you are going to put in politics in comic books. Just focus on writing a good story, then politics next. First: The Art. I dont know what is going on, maybe Jorge Jiminez is taking a break. But the art here is not good at all. It's bland, mediocre, this is a comic book event, I expected better art at least. I do not like Nico Leon and Mike Hawthorne's art, and I am pretty sad and dissapointed that Jorge Jiminez isnt the one drawing everything. At least with Fear State and joker War, Jorge Jiminez was carrying that story. And howard Porter carried Shadow War. Chip Zdarsky's Batman is good, he always finds a good Batman voice. But lets address the elephant in the room: Catwoman. I am not a fan of Catwoman, I never really found her books to be that interesting. That being said: She got ruined by Tini Howard in my opinion. At least with Tom King's Catwoman, even though she was super powerful, she was still likable. But this event completely ruins her. I do not like Tom King's Batman run, but there were some good and solid character moments in that run that should not have been retconned. Why is Catwoman so mean in this run? She's rude, condescending, and harsh. The fact that Catwoman blames Batman for their marriage saying Bruce Wayne was so focused on the mission and Gotham needed Batman while Catwoman was the one who RAN OUT on their wedding is insane. The second thing is that Catwoman plan for reducing crime is to steal from the rich and give to charity. I do agree that most of the time, the rich dont do anything and waste money while hardworking people struggle and have nothing at all. Just look at the WGA Strikes. However, what if the rich get scared of the robberies and leave? What if they send out armored bodyguards to protect their money? Catwoman's idea of turning petty robbers into robbers who steal from the rich isnt reducing crime at all. It's literally the same thing. A lot of people are complaining about the Riddler being the bad guy, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. There's a lot of things wrong with this issue to start it off. The Bat-family considering Catwoman's idea. I will however give them the benefit of the doubt, as only Red Hood openly agrees on them. But it still leaves a bad taste on my mouth. Overall, I didnt like this issue. However, what saved this issue from being 1 out of 10, is that Chip Zdarsky's writing for Batman is still strong and Batman isnt written out of character. So this issue tempered my expectations for this event, and I dont expect it to be good. I may be a DC Comic fan, who doesnt really like Marvel. But I am not one of those people who blindly follows DC and trashes the other company. I just want good comic book stories, regardless if you're from DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, and Boom Studios. Again, I want to say this. I don't HATE this issue because it's "political" or it criticizes the rich. I dont like this issue because Catwoman gets butchered, the art isnt good. And so far, this doesnt look like to be a good story. Or I could be wrong. Who knows.

Not going to lie, this event was pretty much garbage. This is probably my least favorite event of the year hands down. this shows that every great or skilled comic book writer can have some bad days, and this is no exception for Chip Zdarsky. First off, the art is horrendous. Every time there's a comic book event, I always expect good if not great art. I get that Jorge Jimenez wanted to work on Chip Zdarsky's Batman run exclusively, but I would much rather have the big guns on the event, and have hte long running series have some dip in art quality. Story was bland and forgettable, Action was bland, even if Batman was controlled by Zurr En Ahh, the way he treated Jason Todd was honestly crossing the line. Catwoman by Tina Howard was bland, Vandal Savage and Sandal Savage were forgettable, everything about this event was just a mess. Damn, you know somethings' wrong when you miss James Tynion IV's run on Batman

I dont know whats wrong with Matthew Rosenberg. But maybe because he's not trying at all but this event is a complete mess. The art is bland, the dialogue is corny, and the action is not interesting. I knew Gotham War wasnt going to be as good as Joker War, Fear State, or Shadow War. What the hell is Joker and Scarecrow doing here? This entire event completely sucks donkey ball, and its my least favorite event of 2023

This issue is basically filler. The art is bland and not consistent. The dialogue feels clunky, and I dont care for Blur and Silver Witch. Literally, this could be a tie-in, why is this in the main title? I understand its to build up characters, but at least make them likeable.

The art looked a lot better, and granted we know how this new world happened. We should have had an entire series of introducing the squadron Supreme and then we had a crossover

We don't even get an origin story on how nighthawk got his powers. Nighthawk personality is bland, the fight scenes are lame, the art is mediocre, and we don't even know how captain America is finding these heroes. Terrible issue.

While it's the best issue since issue 2 I wished the art was more consistent. The squadron Supreme are basically carbon copies of the crime syndicate. The action is lackluster and I wished instead of one shots we actually see how the squadron Supreme faced events in multiple issues instead of it cramming in one issue.

At least this issue is important. I will give it that. Plus we finally know what is going on. However, this issue is CRAMMED with dialogue, even worse than tynions batman. It can be overwhelming, and this should have had forever evil format where we have 8 issues of main story and tie in issues that are one sbots. Plus, how does blade remember everything? Why is captain america specifically the one who makes hyperion weaker when he's around. How does all of these heroes remember who they are? How did the squadron Supreme stay hidden from the avengers?

See here's the thing. I am totally fine with crossovers that are supposed to be harmless except this crossover was supposed to be about heroes interacting with individuals having the infinity stones. But nearly half of this crossover is filler. In fact, for the majority of the issue Miles Morales doesnt even interact with an individual that has an Infinity Stone. And I would like this issue except I don't have a connection to amulet and miles morales friendship. They meet up, talk about exposition, defeat the enemy by destroying a statue and hitting the enemy in one punch and leave even though Miles Morales has his venom blast. The villain wasnt even that interesting. Why the hell did the villain commit suicide for no reason? Seriously the villain commits suicide because his pet died. If you think its cool, then its fine. But in my opinion, thats kind of lame. I am sorry but I just don't feel a connection or cared for these characters because they have expositional dialogue amd the art and action are lacking. For me shazam and Dane have better chemistry because they actually talk like real ppl. Miles Morales and Amulet dont really have good chemistry. Legit if the only interesting part about the event is the backup stories. If the backup stories was just the event then this event would get am 8 out of 10. If u like this event then it's totally cool. For me I would advise not reading this event because it has lackluster art and action and bland dialogue. Read marvel dark ages and x men Inferno if u have time

Just caught up to the Final Krakoan X-Men story. Maybe because I'm a stupid idiot, but the pacing is all over the place and this made no sense whatsoever. the dialogue and pacing does not work for me here, and the characters arent interesting.

If there's one thing to summarize this event. It felt rushed. The ending was bland with Jean grey becoming Phoenix force to one-shot enigma and nimrod. Xavier and Moira were written not as well. The art was bland. Overall I wished hickman finished his vision. Because this is game of thrones season 8 of comic book stories. The fact that u has to pay extra for x men forever to get the full story is kinda sad. The dialogue was confusing for me due to the quantum dimensional cosmic dialogue. Overall as a person who hopped on the krakoan train this year I wanted this story to end on a high note.

Welp, this event ruined Ben Reily as a character and turned him into a crazy villain for no reason and had no impact on the plot. But at least the art looked good and I like Spider Gwen and Spider-man's relationship.

I am reading this issue, and I'm just thinking to myself: Am I really going to remember this crossover event? The art is fine but I don't care about the old man, this event was supposed to be how people who are possessed by symbiotes are being ostracized by society. I am fine with that. But this old guy is Lasher, yet I have no connection because the character writing is bad. Carnage absorbs the old guy's memory, and I'm just asking to myself: What is the point of this event?

A bland and boring event that wasn't interesting and had inconsistent art

People who complain about DC Comics having too many dialogue obviously havent read Marvel Comics. This issue has so much dialogue that I felt that I would be reading a novel. IT's not just the amount of dialogue, its how boring the characters feel. I wouldnt even be this annoyed too, but the art here is lacking and cartoony compared to DC Pride. Seriously, the art here has no effort. If you want to make LGBTQ happy, at least provide solid art that at least has effort to it.

The final story of the Krakoan Era of Hickman's X-Men series is slowly turning into Game of Thrones Season 8, Star Wars the Last Jedi, and Josstice League where someone else tries finish Hickman's end goal. I may not be a fan of Hickman, but at least I would like to hear it from his own terms. Nimrod and Xavier's resolution is literally in a data page, which is disappointing, and Xavier is acting a bit irrational.

Hey, it ended better than I expected, I will give Gerry Duggan that. I liked how Storm over circuited Nimrod's abilities, and how Magneto, Polariis created a magnetic field to take down Nimrod/Orchis. The only thing I wished was that it felt Storm was like Josstice League Superman where she overpowered everything randomly because it wasnt really built up and she had no personal experience with Nimrod. All the other x-Men at least had some encounters with Orchis and Nimrod, but Storm was busy with being on Mars in X-Men Red. But if you can just turn your brain off for this issue, I think people will like this ending.

I also really like how Storm says she knows that this is a trick, but she still wants to fight Iron Man, and how Marvel heroes fighting each other is so common that they can just google it lol. But the story could be better. This event is just whatever. Still fun reading other people's thoughts on it.

This entire series was a slog to read. Reading this after Dark Night Death Metal made me happy Batman Who Laughs is dead. Scott Snyder has a problem with exposition where it takes up half the page, but it's executed in a sterile boring manner. The art is good, and the first issue I was hooked. But as the series went on, I lost interest and just wanted it to end.

I was left whelmed by this ending. All of the high critic reviews, but the characters were boring, the story dragged on for me. It was whatever to be honest.

the only thing I liked was Tim Drake story, and The Flash/Captain Cold story

this issue wasnt bad. But it was just mid, boring, and forgettable. I wished Ultimate Spider-Man by Jonathan Hickman was here. None of these stories were interesting. Ben Reilly is a jerk, why is Kaine having degeneration again, why bring in TVA from Loki to a Spider-Gwen story. overall, I just felt nothing for this. The soliictions were again lying to us.

It personally blows my mind on how people complain about DC Comics "terrible" writing when they totally love Marvel Comics who prioritzes politics over stories. I read people hating Robin because he reads "manga" and like Black Cat more than Tom Taylor's Nightwing. But sure, DC Comics totally sucks when Marvel Comics made Starlord bisexual as a personal attack on Chris Pratt. At least DC Comics doesnt personally attack other people. And people wonder why DC Comics have so many critics reviewing their series compared to Marvel Comics.

interesting idea of Dr. doom joining the Guardians, but honestly i have no idea what the hype is about. Plenty of other marvel stories that are better like Chip Zdarsky's Starlord run, or the classic Guardians of the Galaxy

I am just going to say it: Jason Aaron clearly lost his touch writing these comics. The dialogue doesnt make me feel attached to the characters, and the art is so bland and mediocre.

You know what.... I might drop this and bendis justice league. This story has bland art and dialogue and she hulk turns into red hulk and gets captured by red guardian.

Meh, the art is kind of cartoonish for me and I don't like it. The dialogue is a bit weird and this is just going to be another hero fighting heroes thing.

oh my goodnesss..... what is this? An actual GOOD Spider-Man story after the bloated Last Remains, and forgettable King's Ransom and terrible Chameleon Conspiracy? Now we're talking, and it feels good to be a fan of Spider-Man. Great art, characterization, and dialogue for this story. Man after 7 months finally Spider-Man becomes interesting again.

This issue was a HUGE step down from last issue. The art is inconsistent, the pacing is insane. One minute we see spider man fighting the villains, then in the middle of a climatic scene we see a long flashback. The pacing is all over the place. Honestly my favorite superhero of all time is spider man but this issue was a huge let down. Wow very disappointed that I am more hyped for batman than my favorite superhero of all time

It's better than last issue. Let's hope we know how kindred came to be at the end of the run

So I just read this issue..... and wow. To say Marvel dropped the ball on this event is an understatement. A better analogy would be Marvel running, tripping, and faceplanted so hard that they broke their nose. This is Game of Thrones Season 8 of Spider-Man stories. This will be a non-spoiler review Lets address the elephant in the room: The Art style. I agree with The Dark Knight Detective on this one. Yes great story with bad art can still work but this is Nick Spencer's final story on Spider-Man. You're telling me Marvel couldnt let Mark Bagley just draw every issue like how Jorge Jiminez is drawing Fear State? Even then the art is very inconsistent and it really sticks out like a sore thumb. The second problem with this event is how underwhelming this event was. It was hyped and it had lackluster endings. I wont spoil anything, but while you see the villains being defeated, it was very lame. Doctor Strange and Mephisto meeting? We thought it was supposed to address One More Day right? Yeah, it didnt. Literally, Mephisto and Dr strange meeting had NO impact on the story. As far as I remember, I dont even think Kindred appeared that much in this issue. Third, this issue said that Spider-Man is going to beaten so bad that its going to be shocking. So I'm expecting Spider-Man to get destroyed like how Angrir (Fear Itself) or Morlun or Iron Patriot or Jack o Lantern in Civil War or Phoenix Possessed Colossus and Magik beat him up. But the only thing that happened in this event was a C list villain gets murdered, that's literally disappointing. I understand how Nick Spencer's run is supposed to be Peter Parker breaking the cycle and becoming more mature instead of a man-child, but when you have stories where Spider-Man saves the day by literally talking for 90 percent of the run, it is not worth it. Dan Slott may have ruined Spider-Man's character but at least his stories were pretty engaging. Now, before people get pissed off I want to say that I am a Spider-Man fanboy, if you cant tell from my username. Spider-Man is my favorite superhero of all time, my first memory was a Spider-Man toy and my first toy, game, clothes, school supply, pillow and blanket even my own Car Keys is all on Spider-Man. I have read every single issue featuring Spider-man, and that includes the ALTERNATE versions of Spider-Man like Ultimate Spider-Man, Earth X, Exiles, Marvel Adventures, Marvel Mangaverse, etc. The first WORDS in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy is "Who am I? You sure you want to know?" and its 3 minutes and 7 minutes in the run time. Raimi's Uncle Ben dies 43:35 in the first movie. The last WORDS in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is Mary Jane singing "I mean to care for no one" in Spider-Man 3. Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker says "oh my god, oh my god" when he sees Uncle Ben dead around 45:45 in the first Amazing Spider-Man. Heck, the first SENTENCE in a Spider-Man comic book was "Like Costume Heroes?" The last words Uncle Ben said in the comic before he passed away was not "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility" but it was "You're not fooling me Petey! I know you're awake, and its time for school." So Believe me when I say that I LOVE Spider-Man, even more than Marvel and DC Comics combined. I'm the biggest Spider-Man fan in my NEIGHBORHOOD, and I am writing this review as objectively as possible. I learned from my mistake with Ta Nehisi Coates Captain America review (where I was acting like a complete lunatic) which is why I deleted that review so I can learn my mistake, be more open-minded and objective as possible. Thats why I have been giving lower scores to DC Comics now, because even though I like both Marvel Movies and DC Comic books I want to be fair as much as possible without letting my bias show through and I'm willing to admit that there are some cracks in certain comic book series. If you honestly like this series, then thats fine because you're enjoying yourself and you shouldnt be attacked for having a harmless opinion. For me, this series is very underwhelming. I want to like this entire series, but it has inconsistent art, underwhelming resolutions, and bloated pacing.

Probably going to drop Spider-Man after this event. Or after the mystery box To be honest, I just realized Spider-Man really didnt play a big role in this event and was just there as a punching bag. I get how Peter Parker ties into Chasm wanting his memory, but I expected more from Peter Parker.

Controversial opinion, but this event was a mess. Art was inconsistent, Ben Reilly, Madelyn Pyror get ruined (Madelyn Pyror invaded New York and killed innocent people because she wanted memories. All she needed to do was tell Jean Grey to make a copy of Peter Parker's memory to ben Reilly and all of this will be solved). bland action, Peter Parker loses more than he wins and gets embarrassed and he doesnt do anything. Venom is dumbed down. Ending was embarrassing with Peter Parker just watching while everyone does the work for him. Overall, just a complete mess. this was the beginning of the downfall for Zeb Wells Spidey run. It's debatable on which event was worse. Sinister War or Dark Web. Only reason why this event is not a one out of 10 was because there were some art that looked pretty good.

As a Spider-Man fanboy, this issue is just okay. It's not bad, its not good either. I am a bit surprised and miffed that Peter and MJ are taking a break, and I feel this series is going to be in for the long haul and is going to unravel mysteries, and I'm totally fine with being patient. Art here isnt as good as I thought, I miss John Romita Jr's art back when J Michael Stracinzkyi art 20 years ago. So like I said, I am totally fine with being patient with this series and it's kind of funny that this series might be undoing Nick Spencer's work (even though its been less than a year, god time flies). Still, as a Spider-Man fanboy, really is weird and strange that I'm more excited for Batman content than my favorite fictional character of all time.

So I am going to review this issue as objectively as possible. Is this issue actually bad? Well, no its not. But its not great either. For starters, I am going to say that the art really isnt the strong suit. The coloring feels weird, and some of the pages dont wow me. The art is holding me back from truly loving this issue. now, to the story. Is it bad? no, its not. It's a story about Norman Osborn wanting Peter to work for him, and its Spider-Man trying to be in a conflict between Rose and Tombstone. Tell me, does that sound like a bad story to you? It really doesnt. Now, lets get to the main problem Spider-Man fans have with this series. Why and how did Peter Parker and Mary Jane break up? I admit, I really would like them to at least address One More Day and make Peter Parker realize that he was an idiot for selling his marriage to the devil. But just because we aren't addressing One More Day doesnt mean Spider-Man sucks. For the people who complain about Peter and MJ splitting up, can you honestly imagine if at the end of the series Peter proposes to Mary Jane or at least acknowledges One More Day? Can you imagine how much of an idiot and ridiculous you guys sound back in the day? It's okay to not like an issue as long as its valid and logical criticisms, but just not liking the story for petty emotional reasons doesnt make your opinion valid, and just makes you look immature. I am totally fine with this whole unraveling of the mystery box that will take issues (as long as its not decompressed like Tom King batman and Nick Spencer Spider-Man). I am totally fine with people not liking things I enjoy as long as they have valid reasons. I am not a DC Comic Zombie, I will always trust DC Comics more in terms of crossover events than Marvel, but you dont see me getting offended at Marvel for any tiny and minute detail, or get offended at Marvel fans for not liking DC Comic Events just so much as long as they have valid criticism. So all in all, this isnt a bad comic. It's enjoyable hte first time reading this, but its not a great comic. For people who are honestly giving this a low score, then I will tell you this. If you think this series is bad, then thank Buddha that you guys haven't read Tom King Batman, Brian Michael Bendis Justice League, New 52 Teen Titans, New 52 Red Hood and the Outlaws, and Furies.

This issue is just fine as usual. It's not bad, but its not mindblowingly amazing. the art isnt as good (maybe the coloring), and how is Spider-Man restrained by chains when he can lift up to 10 tons? Are those chains made up of adamantium? It still peaks my interest, and I'm just along for the ride.

I actually really do enjoy this issue. Art is a lot better, action is dynamic and I like the plot twist of Spider-Man doing Tombstone's work for him. It was really good.

Glad I was being fair for the first few issues and not outright hating this issue. People who trash on this series before the first arc even finished are being REAL quiet today. It's okay to make mistakes, just admit them and promise to be better.

damn, this issue is gonna divide people. And honestly, I agree. This issue is fine, but it undoes a lot of stuff, especially Peter, Black Cat, and Mary Jane. I like the overall message but as the 900th issue anniversary and the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man, this was a huge let down.

The fact that one of the most important plot points in one of the key characters happens in a tie-in issue and not hte main event kinda sucks. But it is whatever. It's fine. I get that Peter Parker is super tense up and emotional because he is worried that Mary Jane is stuck with Paul, but it doesnt mean I have to like how Peter Parker's a jerk in a bad way. He picks a fight with Captain America, he's super angry and mean, I get that early Peter Parker had a chip on his shoulder, but he wasnt this shor-tempered. I sure wished Spider-Man had better writers who actually cared for Peter Parker, and editors that let spider-man grow up. We probably know why Mary Jane has these kids, because Peter Parker is trying to free her, and in the dimension Mary Jane and Paul fall in love and bang each other. Which kinda is a slap in the face for Spidey fans considering the ending for Nick Spencer's run. Of course, I may be wrong and if that happens I will eat my words and admit defeat. only time will tell next month.

in all complete brutal honesty, its not bad. but its not good either. This comic book is just plain old okay. art was inconsistent, and I do like how we see Mary Jane and Paul grow closer together. Kaare Andrews is a great artist, I wish that person was doing the run. To quote the Rock: "It's a piece of dog s#%t." This will probably be my longest answer since Dark Web and Sinister War Now, as a Spidey fan. I want to judge things more fairly and level-headed. I also didnt really look at the spoilers since the single moment I heard that the ASM #26 was leaked, I deactivated my twitter so I wouldn't get spoiled, and whenever someone would say something related to spoiler territory, I would cut them off or scroll quickly. Now, lets talk about the art. The art by John Romita JR is frankly..... bad. I'm sorry, I know I'm not a comic book artist. But JR JR isnt as good as he was when it was the JMS run at all. If this is such an important story, I want to bring in the big guns and good to great artists to treat comic book fans and make them pretty hyped up. The art was so.... bland and uninteresting. Now, lets talk about Kamala Khan. Yes, its cool she sacrificed herself for Mary Jane and she "d*es". But my problem is that Kamala Khan barely plays a role in the series. This death feels hollow because not only is Marvel just reviving her to hype up her own movie, but Kamala Khan BARELY plays a role in the series. out of 26 issues, she only had 12 pages. It comes out of nowhere. it would be more hard-hitting and hard-felt if instead of the filler issues with Black Cat and Spider-Man dating, we could have at least had a couple of issues where Peter and Kamala Khan talk to make this death feel more "earned". The reason why Gwen's death was so impactful was that we actually saw Gwen and Peter interact more. Peter and Kamala not interacting a lot in this run makes this death not that important and I'm just like.... "okay". Sadly, Kamala Khan is my favorite female superhero of all time, so I was a bit more offended and annoyed. Like I said, if you are going to hype her up in her own movie, at least treat her with respect. Dont. fridge her. Now, as Psycamorean points out. Yes, I'm happy we got some character development and closure from the story. The heroes forgive Peter Parker. Paul is not from this universe. The kids get snapped away. Maybe Paul and MJ will have their relationship fractured, and Peter and MJ will get back together and make us eat my words. But you know what my biggest problem in this entire run? Peter f*cking Parker. I cant believe that we had great representation for Peter Parker like PS4 Spider-Man as well as Marvel Spider-Man 2. This could have been a slam dunk for Spider-Man in 2023. But the problem with Spider-Man in the comics is that Peter Parker loses A LOT and doesnt even FIGHT the main villain till the end. Sure, you see Peter fight off Rabbit. But not only is Rayeb boring, but Kamala Khan tricks him. The giant monster gets defeated by Fantastic Four. In the majority of every single story in this run, Peter Parker needs help or loses so someone else has to beat up the villain for him. I understand we dont want stories to be generic and unoriginal. But at least the stories need to be respectful in someway. there has to be some pay-off to at least Peter Parker losing a lot, but it seems that he is treated like a trash bag. I think this issue is even worse or more polarizing than the Bat-Wedding. Like Deathstroke7505, Peter Parker doesnt react to Mary Jane having super powers even this is his first time seeing it happen. Rabbin states that he can see through space and time, but again. He should have known Kamala Khan was there. I honestly dont really "hate" this issue because Peter Parker and MJ are never getting back together. I accepted that. My problem personally is how the art and action dont really look good, Peter Parker does nothing, and Kamala Khan's death not feeling earned So all in all, I was at first angry and pissed off. But now, I am just laughing at Marvel right now. I dont know, I just think its pretty funny how Marvel is super great and awesome in movies and Video games, while DC Comics has Ezra Miller and Amber Heard in films, and their video games need work. But in the comics? It's the complete opposite. I hope that Marvel either gets a better editor or a writer who cares about Spider-Man.

I recently had a personal tragedy which Is why I didnt read the recent spidey issue and other issues. Well, I read this issue today, and it did improve my mood a bit because it made me laugh because of how funny Marvel is treating Spidey like garbage. I dont mind spidey losing a bunch, but it happens way too much and there isnt a satisfying pay-off. Sucks that now I'm a Batman fanboy right now. This run is the first time I'm pulling the plug for keeping up. I am probably not holding my breath on this. Which is a shame. Because Peter Parker got me through high school and middle school. I really did enjoy Spider-Man a lot. Maybe I should have came in this series with a different angle, like seeing it as a comedy or joke or something. That way I wont get dissapointed by Dark Web and the other stories from Zeb wells. Oh well. If you guys want good Spider-Man comics, try reading the recent Dan Slott run. Or Miles Morales. At this point, if Marvel is treating Spidey like this, then he should just straight up die to put him out of his misery. Or get better writers like Jonathan Hickman to work on him. Sure, there are going to be annoying and toxic Spidey fans. But it's better than whatever this is. I'm not expecting Peter Parker to be with Mary Jane again. I just want good stories. But I know I probably wont get those anytime soon. Also, Ed McGuniess art doesnt work for me, sorry. It's subjective though.

honestly came back for this event after Kamala Khan's death in Amazing Spider-Man #26. I have not been th biggest fan of Amazing Spider-Man due to Zeb Wells writing, and the inconsistent tone and humor. Gang War has been a bore to me with bland pacing, Spider-Man not doing much, bland action, etc. That said, this was the best issue of the event in my opinion. John Romita Jr's art still isnt that good, but I'll take what I can get. Spider-Man is actually doing something for once which is a relief. He's still a side character, but hey. This issue isnt as bad as the previous issues in my opinion.

Spidey literally gets his butt kicked multiple times in this event, then he talks about his feelings to Madame Masque, then wins the day by shooting out webs into her gauntlets. Very anti-climatic as well. The art here is also bland and not interesting. John Romita Jr art doesnt stand out anymore, its too clean for my taste. This event was basically people talking, then rushing into an ending. Overall, a lot of people are going to take issues and be pissed off about my reviews and think I'm "toxic" and "uneducated". And its totally fine if people like this event more than me. I'm glad people are enjoying this event. It's just for me, I didnt enjoy this event. I'm glad I took a break from Zeb Wells Spider-Man, and I'm not going to be reading Zeb Wells Spidey run anymore. This run is not for me, I'm not going to be reading this event if it somehow devolves into me hate-reading this event, and I dont want to be toxic. Overall, this event had bland art, action, dialogue, a wonky pacing, and Spider-Man really doesnt get much to do here, and when it comes to the climax of the story, it fell flat.

spider-man getting corrupted by sins 3 times in this run in 20 issues is getting pretty old and stale.

while I do like how spidey breaks free of the sins on who spidey is, the lead up and execution could have been better. It's not bad, but it feels hollow and empty.

I like how Shay doesnt hear Rhino and Screwball tearing up New /york behind her. But overall, this was a nice step up and upgrade from Zeb Wells usual Spidey issues. I wished it was more of this

this is just a decompressed issue where nothing really happens and it could have been combined with the previous issue. I can't wait for this series to end so we can move on

I am probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but I think this ending was just as bad, if not worse than Nick Spencer's Spider-Man run. This run for me feels like watching the atrocious Joker sequel to me where its a big punchline. We think there will be a satisfying conclusion to the Tombstone story, it wasn't. Literally nothing happens, Tombstone doesn't get punished. He literally wins while Spider-Man suffers. The only thing that does improve is Aunt May accepting Peter Parker has to ask for Spider-Man for help, which makes him be in danger. At the end, Aunt May and Peter are close again... but again it was not built up. Chasm is evil again, which makes the Winkler arc uselses, the art is generally ugly, the only thing I like was the Wolverine story. I do not care if Peter Parker and Mary Jane are never getting back together. I think as long as Nick Lowe and the Marvel Editorial are around, it's never going to happen. But there has to be a good and engaging story for this, and it sucks seeing Ultimate Spider-Man and other series get good satisfying character writing but not Main Earth 616 Peter Parker. Overall, for real. I am done with this series. I have gone to accept that this series is not for me, and I am never going to be reading this series again. I only read the last arc just for me to actually critique it fairly to the best of my ability and not be a mindless hater. I felt that this series was bad because Spider-Man loses a lot, inconsistent art, the bad writing/story, and the action leaves to be desired. Even if Joe Kelly will do well in Spider-Man series, I probably wont read it. I hope people have fun and enjoy this series.

I usually like anthologies, but the only stories I liked was Man-Wolf with J Jonah Jameson and Cloak and Dagger

yeah.... this series was pretty forgettable.

So I finished this event in one sitting and I definitely got to say it is pretty convoluted and disappointing. I do admit Grant Morrison (who is non-binary) is a genius and super creative but there are times when the plot is so convoluted and confusing that it makes me scratch my head. I understand how Darkseid dying will cause the Multiverse to slowly be destroyed but then its revealed that he's not the main villain, but the true villain is Mandrakk. The ending completely makes sense but the journey to get to this ending is really confusing. how did Batman escape his prison? I dont know. Grant Morrison is really creative and wants to branch out and create groundbreaking stuff, but when there are words like "Ever Ending Instant" or "Super Luminal Velocity" that's when I have limits. Plus the art and pacing is pretty inconsistent and there's a lot of exposition dumps. I dont know, I like Grant Morrison, They're top 3 best modern writers right now. Morrison's up there with Geoff Johns, and Johnathan Hickman. I like JLA, Doom Patrol, Animal Man, We3, Invisibles, Batman and Robin, Batman Inc, and of course All Star Superman. Why do you think All Star Superman is still popular after 15 years? Johnathan Hickman is pretty consistent but he rarely puts out groundbreaking stories outside of 2015 Secret Wars and House/Powers of X. But this story wasn't good in my opinion. Too convoluted and expositional dump for me. I re-read it 3 times and I dont think it ages well.

if people want me to be blunt, Jonathan hickman is not one of my favorite writers. His dialogue and writing can kinda bore me a bit, and he reminds me of Denis Villenueve. Hickman is one of the few writers where I have to take my time with. I can confidently say that I do enjoy this issue. It's very interesting and engaging where The Maker creates his own Flashpoint. While I dont enjoy the art, the writing and story make up for it.

For me, hickman's style is that in the moment you're not enjoyuing this, but after the story is finished it hits you and you enjoy it the more you think about it. There are cool moments here, and teh story does slow down and people talk. Thankfully, the dialogue is interesting (even if it uses complex words) on how The Maker is changing the Ultimate Universe. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Jonathan Hickman is a strange writer to me. He is objectively a great writer, but he's one of those writers that is a hit or miss for me. And unfortunately, this issue is a miss. Now, there's a chance this issue will get better. But my problem is that this series feels like world-building, but it should have been a 12 issue mini-series instead of a 4 issue mini series. The pacing seems to be bloated and extended a lot, where people are talking. Again, I dont mind people talking, but the dialogue has to be engaging and at least interesting to hold my attention. Unfortunately, this issue doesnt. Also, Bryan hitch's art has never worked for me. I'm sorry. I believe Hickman can still save this series. But I think this issue really brought it down for me.

probably controversial opinion, but I did not enjoy this series. I get that this is basically the Marvel version of Flashpoint, where Jonathan Hickman is "resetting" or "creating" a new universe similar to ultimate Universe. But my biggest problem in this series is that it feels sluggish and boring in the first three chapters (maybe not hte first chapter), then it just rushes till the end. Maker was boring, the dialogue was clunky and made my eyes glaze over, Kang came out of nowhere, and I wished he was more interesting. In an alternate timeline, this could have been at least a 6 issue event. Miles Morales and Earth 616 dont really play a role, majority of characters are boring and uninteresting. Overall, maybe I'm an idiot. But I didnt like this event, and this was pretty underwhelming and disappointing. I dont think Hickman is a bad writer because he made one bad event while ignoring Secret Wars, House/Powers of X, Infinity, and his work on Avengers and X-Men. I hope GODS will be good. But this was a bland, underwhelming and disappointing event. And I dont like Bryan Hitch's art at all. Sorry guys. Overall I would have gave this event a 4 out of 10, but for this issue its a 5 out of 10

this story had great promise, but the clunky dialogue, the art, the bland characters, and the ending where it devolved into cosmic time chaos brings this issue down. I was really expecting Miles to make an appearance. This was Hickman's first miss in my opinion.

overall, this event was entertaining and fun. But hte problem was that it made hulk kill innocent people for a lie, and hulk taking down ghost rider, and just excessive destruction made my eyes glaze over. Plus, a lot of people say this is just a return to the status quo so I can understand their problem. Just confused on why New York isnt an apocalyptic wasteland after all the destruction, and kinda weird on how people were cheering on the hulk to destroy Earth and Avengers.

Well.... that ending was kind of whacky. It kind of ruined the conversation between Magneto and Wanda.

the art is okay, and the death just feels hollow. I don't feel the impact of what happened here to be honest
