Well what can I say? This is yet another forgettable crossover from Marvel Comics. I understand this is supposed to be a harmless fun crossover but I reread every single annual and this ain't fun. It has mediocre and inconsistent Art (only exception is the thor annual), unsatisfactory endings, and bland characters. A story featuring the most popular marvel superheroes and Infinity stones ends with the heroes talking about their feelings to the villain. I am not trying to say dc comics is better than marvel comics since I am being objective but I will say t least dc comics puts more effort in their art. Seriously, I dont care about the person possessed by the soul stone in the story. They have expositional dialogue and a bland personality. This story ends with that person talking to the Avengers and leaving. Heck, the iron man and captain america dialogue was also boring because it doesn't have good chemistry. I will say infinite fury is actually good and if we judge infinite fury alone its an 8 out of 10. If u like it, then its fine. But for me this isn't worth your time because it has terrible endings and lackluster action.

Selina Kyle: Batman cant be happy because if he's happy, then he wont be a good Batman. Every fucking Robin and Batgirl: Am I a joke to you? Seriously, this was a huge let down. This was suppose to be where Batman can grow and be a better person and evolve as a character. But no, lets just go back to the status quo. And seriously Cat and Bat dialogue is so god damn annoying. This was basically the cock-block of the entire decade. Terrible story all around.

This is a review of Tom King's run on Batman and what can I say? It's a terrible run and if people think Tynion's Batman is bad, at least Tynion puts in some god damn effort in his Batman. At least Tynion tries to write a good Batman story. But this.... this is basically a bland version of Knightfall. Tom King turns Batman into a wimp who happens to be emotionless like a Terminator. Thomas Wayne wants to kill Alfred to make Batman happy which makes no absolute sense. No one seems to care that Alfred dies. Bane is taken out anticlimatically, Thomas Wayne gets butchered and taken out anti-climatically, Catwoman is a god damn Mary Sue, and the 9 panel pages and cringey dialogue makes me want to rip my ear out. Bottom line: If you want to read Batman in the DC Rebirth era skip Tom King's entire run. Tom King excells best at short series.

This is literally a series that has almost no story. I dont even know what the hell is happening right now.

The fact that the writer made Red Skull be based on Jordan Peterson simply because the writer had a different political view is honestly hilariously bad. This is why I prefer DC Comics over Marvel Comics, because they at least prioritize good writing.

It honestly totally makes sense to hire the guy who hates America to write a Captain America story. The art is bland, the dialogue is weird, Steve Rogers is boring, and I'm excited to see Ta Nehisi Coates leave.

Whoever liked this needs to get their eyes and brain checked because this is the worst modern DC comic I read. yes, even worse than Gotham high. As a huge DC comic Fan, I would highly encourage anyone to NEVER read this series.

The only thing good about this book is that this isn't canon

This is a crossover event that features multiple heroes, and the majority of this event are people..... TALKING for 90 percent of the issue. This event literally does not need to happen at all, the dialogue is bland, the art style is mediocre, the characters are bad, and the pacing Is sluggish. I am not trying to say if DC is better than Marvel, but say what you want about Tynion's Batman, at LEAST he can hire great artist and there is at least great fight choreography in his Batman run. His recent Batman issue was pretty bad, but at least it doesn't have a huge exposition load in your face compared to this atrocious issue. Literally, this whole fight was a Younger prime talking about pure exposition dialogue that is bland, and his backstory isn't that interesting. This issue ends with the Younger Prince TOUCHING Hercules and he automatically beats the villain. If this is a regular series then I would be fine. But this is a CROSSOVER event, I expect more creativity and effort in how the hero beats the villain in this event. Jesus Christ, I'm only excited for Sinister War, Dark Ages, and X-Men: Inferno.

It personally blows my mind on how people complain about DC Comics "terrible" writing when they totally love Marvel Comics who prioritzes politics over stories. I read people hating Robin because he reads "manga" and like Black Cat more than Tom Taylor's Nightwing. But sure, DC Comics totally sucks when Marvel Comics made Starlord bisexual as a personal attack on Chris Pratt. At least DC Comics doesnt personally attack other people. And people wonder why DC Comics have so many critics reviewing their series compared to Marvel Comics.

We don't even get an origin story on how nighthawk got his powers. Nighthawk personality is bland, the fight scenes are lame, the art is mediocre, and we don't even know how captain America is finding these heroes. Terrible issue.

Wrll.... what can I say? This is a BLAND, MEDIOCRE, AND FORGETTABLE crossover event from Marvel Comics! Jesus christ, at least dc comics can make their crossover events more consistent and entertaining. The art in this crossover is inconsistent, mediocre dialogue, the fights are bland, the squadron Supreme are boring versions of the crime syndicate. Day what you want about dc comics but at least they actually CARE AND PIT IN EFFORT for their stories. This story is a rip off of Forever Evil, House of M, an episode of avengers assemble, and age of apocalypse. How do you go from king in black to this??? Save your money and don't buy this forgettable crossover. Read better crossovers like King in Black and War of the Realms

Not a good tie in issue that had bland dialogue

It still personally blows my mind on how people will trash on DC Comics and complain about DC Comics sucking really badly and giving other DC Comic series 1 out of 10 because a character reads manga, yet they're silent about this. Modern Marvel Comics is TRASH as hell, and its objectively true. How is Danny Rand "not worthy" of the Iron Fist yet somehow okoye is? At least DC Comics doesnt treat its characters like trash the majority of the time. At least DC Comics listens to the fans and cares for them. In two years we have had Starlord turned bisexual because of Chris Pratt, Marvel compares Jordan Peterson to a Nazi for no reason, and now this. Jesus Christ, people are saying DC Comics needs better writers? Marvel Comics needs better writers and get rid of the hacks. What a piece of trash this series is. Save your money and dont read this series.

If I could rate this series a zero out of 10, believe me, I would. This is the worst DC Black Label comic of all time, and this is why I dont consider Frank Miller as my top writers

I would be more fine qith the one shots except it's bland amd doesn't have any entertaining moments. Plus the art here is pretty bad. Say what u want about fear state but at least it has good art. This issue doesn't make me care for black bolt at all

Sorry for the influx of comic book reviews I have pouring in, but I just found this website a few months ago and I'm trying to review all the comics I read. For this book, well what can I say? The worst modern DC Comic book of all time, and arguably the worst. This ruined Wally West (why would he frame a murder) forever, and it took a really long time for him to recover. The only thing that made this story not a complete 0 out of 10 is the art.

This issue is basically filler. The art is bland and not consistent. The dialogue feels clunky, and I dont care for Blur and Silver Witch. Literally, this could be a tie-in, why is this in the main title? I understand its to build up characters, but at least make them likeable.

This is a crossover featuring Spider man, the most popular superhero of all time. This is also a crossover that has the gof damn INFINITY STONES. So why does the art and dialogue super crappy amd mediocre? The fight scenes are bland and underwhelming, I don't care about this star character, and the backup story was bad. I don't mind Peter Parker losing faith and giving up, and later in the end we see Peter regain his motivation. But at least have the story, dialogue, and character writing work. Half of this issue isn't about Peter Parker at all, and it's kind of funny how Black Cat broke up with Peter, yet she kisses him. And immediately goes back to him. And how half of the book is doctor strange with X-men stuff in it. Marvel needs to get new editors or a staff team and have actual good writers who. care about Spider-Man write Spider-Man. Maybe that's why Ultimate Spider-Man works so well. It's run by a different team and Hickman cares about Spidey. Hickman isn't really seeing Spider as a pay check

Bland fights that don't have an impact, bland art, bland dialogue and characters, and boring plot. At least the back up issue was interesting

I absolutely have no idea why this series have high reviews. This series somehow has better reviews than kamala Khan's run and Tom Taylor's Wolverine. Let that sink in.

Look, I like DC Comics more than Marvel Comics. But can we PLEASE get rid of Brian Michael Bendis? He isnt the same writer as he was when he did Ultimate Spider-Man. The only good modern story he did was All New X-Men and Batman: Detective.

Well.... another bland event from Marvel I say. The art is pretty mediocre, the dialogue is cheesy. Doctor Doom is treated like a joke, the heroes didnt need to be there at all, if you remove Spider-Man, Avengers and Black Bolt then the story really wouldn't have changed, Chton gets basically one-shotted even though he's an Elder God, and the fights were pretty unmemorable. If you like it, its totally cool. But for me, this is another forgettable event from Marvel Comics.

Branches of the timeline. chrononaut slaughter. slouches a rough beast. these are actual English words, yet Simon spurrier's dialogue makes me roll my eyes. the art is okay, the pacing is wack with somehow Shade is tied in. Overall, there's a reason why Simon spurrier is a HUGE hit or miss in the Flash fandom

So I just read this issue..... and wow. To say Marvel dropped the ball on this event is an understatement. A better analogy would be Marvel running, tripping, and faceplanted so hard that they broke their nose. This is Game of Thrones Season 8 of Spider-Man stories. This will be a non-spoiler review Lets address the elephant in the room: The Art style. I agree with The Dark Knight Detective on this one. Yes great story with bad art can still work but this is Nick Spencer's final story on Spider-Man. You're telling me Marvel couldnt let Mark Bagley just draw every issue like how Jorge Jiminez is drawing Fear State? Even then the art is very inconsistent and it really sticks out like a sore thumb. The second problem with this event is how underwhelming this event was. It was hyped and it had lackluster endings. I wont spoil anything, but while you see the villains being defeated, it was very lame. Doctor Strange and Mephisto meeting? We thought it was supposed to address One More Day right? Yeah, it didnt. Literally, Mephisto and Dr strange meeting had NO impact on the story. As far as I remember, I dont even think Kindred appeared that much in this issue. Third, this issue said that Spider-Man is going to beaten so bad that its going to be shocking. So I'm expecting Spider-Man to get destroyed like how Angrir (Fear Itself) or Morlun or Iron Patriot or Jack o Lantern in Civil War or Phoenix Possessed Colossus and Magik beat him up. But the only thing that happened in this event was a C list villain gets murdered, that's literally disappointing. I understand how Nick Spencer's run is supposed to be Peter Parker breaking the cycle and becoming more mature instead of a man-child, but when you have stories where Spider-Man saves the day by literally talking for 90 percent of the run, it is not worth it. Dan Slott may have ruined Spider-Man's character but at least his stories were pretty engaging. Now, before people get pissed off I want to say that I am a Spider-Man fanboy, if you cant tell from my username. Spider-Man is my favorite superhero of all time, my first memory was a Spider-Man toy and my first toy, game, clothes, school supply, pillow and blanket even my own Car Keys is all on Spider-Man. I have read every single issue featuring Spider-man, and that includes the ALTERNATE versions of Spider-Man like Ultimate Spider-Man, Earth X, Exiles, Marvel Adventures, Marvel Mangaverse, etc. The first WORDS in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy is "Who am I? You sure you want to know?" and its 3 minutes and 7 minutes in the run time. Raimi's Uncle Ben dies 43:35 in the first movie. The last WORDS in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy is Mary Jane singing "I mean to care for no one" in Spider-Man 3. Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker says "oh my god, oh my god" when he sees Uncle Ben dead around 45:45 in the first Amazing Spider-Man. Heck, the first SENTENCE in a Spider-Man comic book was "Like Costume Heroes?" The last words Uncle Ben said in the comic before he passed away was not "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility" but it was "You're not fooling me Petey! I know you're awake, and its time for school." So Believe me when I say that I LOVE Spider-Man, even more than Marvel and DC Comics combined. I'm the biggest Spider-Man fan in my NEIGHBORHOOD, and I am writing this review as objectively as possible. I learned from my mistake with Ta Nehisi Coates Captain America review (where I was acting like a complete lunatic) which is why I deleted that review so I can learn my mistake, be more open-minded and objective as possible. Thats why I have been giving lower scores to DC Comics now, because even though I like both Marvel Movies and DC Comic books I want to be fair as much as possible without letting my bias show through and I'm willing to admit that there are some cracks in certain comic book series. If you honestly like this series, then thats fine because you're enjoying yourself and you shouldnt be attacked for having a harmless opinion. For me, this series is very underwhelming. I want to like this entire series, but it has inconsistent art, underwhelming resolutions, and bloated pacing.

a story that had almost zero consequences. Why the hell were Moon Knight, Iron Fist, and Man Thing were here when Doctor Strange could LITERALLY do everything. They didnt even need to be here. This was a 4 issue crossover event that could have been a 3 issue mini story in Doctor Strange. This was basically teh Rough draft for King in Black. Nothing importance came out of this event.

While it's the best issue since issue 2 I wished the art was more consistent. The squadron Supreme are basically carbon copies of the crime syndicate. The action is lackluster and I wished instead of one shots we actually see how the squadron Supreme faced events in multiple issues instead of it cramming in one issue.

Thanks Afre, Batman, Federico Ligueri and Jeff Plaza for explaining your thoughts more effectively than me. Lets address the elephant in the room. The Art. I understand how art is supposed to be "subjective" but when the art isnt CONSISTENT, then its a big problem. I dont know what HAPPENED to nick Spencer and Marvel Comics, but after Last Remains the art in this series just TANKED and went in the ocean. This art..... yikes it makes me want to look away in shame. Mark Bagley and Patrick Gleason's art barely shows up here. The best art in this entire run was Sins Rising. Lets address the second problem with this entire issue. The Pacing and Theme of the run. This isnt Amazing Spider-Man. This is the Norman Osborn show. Everything this issue has been leading up to.... is just revising Norman Osborn's history. Oh gee, thank you Marvel! Thank you for misleading us and wasting our time. Honestly, I never expected Nick Spencer to erase One More Day from existence (since Aunt May would die, and nearly 14 issues of storytelling would be gone, reduced to atoms) but at least have a more entertaining story that substitues it. Sure, you cant remove One more day, but maybe have Peter Parker propose to Mary Jane and she says Yes. Have Peter Parker realize the truth that he was an idiot to erase his marriage with Mary Jane to save Aunt May (who would die literally in 5 years) from a gunshot wound (why couldnt Dr. Doom and Doctor Strange save her? Oh I know, its because of the PLOT). Third, f*cking Kindred. I am going to be honest with you guys. Kindred is the lamest and boring Spider-Man villain I have ever read in my entire life. Oh no, Spider-Man ruined your life? Well DO SOMETHING YOU LAZY BASTARD. Kindred spent 90 percent of the run talking about sins, standing in the shadows being edgy, and just reacting. I dont hate Kindred because of Kindred's "genius and complex history". I dont like Kindred simply because Kindred is a boring character who gets defeated in an unsatisfactory manner. Fourth, there are so many questions that I have in this final Nick Spencer run. When you are going to leave a popular superhero book, you need to have all your questions answered so it would be satisfying. What happened ot Aunt May realizing she has cancer? What was literally the whole point of Teresa going ot jail for fighting hte Chameleon? What f*cking purpose was the point of Nick Spencer's Hunted story? Nick Spencer killed off the original Kraven the Hunter, undoing Grim Hunt.... only to replace him with a clone of him. What's the point of Spider-Man losing all the time? Is it to make Nick Spencer sound smart? Because Spider-Man loses 80 percent of the time. I honestly had high hopes. After Nick Spencer giving us a dissapointing Secret Empire story, I was willing to be more open-minded. I am a really die-hard Spider-Man fan. Spider-Man is the reason why I was exposed to entertainment. First tv show, toy, video game, pillow, pencil, backpack, bed, blanket, notebook, poster, movie I ever watched was all because of Spider-Man. Sadly.... due to sluggish pacing, inconsistent art, and mediocre stories Nick Spencer ends the run, with a pathetic whimper and limps to the finish line. As a Spider-Man fan, it really breaks my heart to see my favorite character get an unsatisfying ending thats almost as bad as City of Bane.

It's mostly Spider Man's SISTER for god sake. This ending did not change anything at all. Seriously, after Sins Rising it's like Nick Spencer lost his motivation because Last Remains was underwhelming and King's Ransom as well as Chameleon Conspiracy are terrible.

Honestly this was not a good issue. Maybe I'm in the minority but mcguiness art doesn't stand out. The dialogue is cheesy the fight is lackluster. And like Afre said ben reply gets ruined and is an uninteresting character. Venom is also not interesting in this event. This event feels like a misfire

lol Imma be honest with you guys. I didnt like this issue at all. I get that Peter Parker is super tense up and emotional because he is worried that Mary Jane is stuck with Paul, but it doesnt mean I have to like how Peter Parker's a jerk in a bad way. He picks a fight with Captain America, he's super angry and mean, I get that early Peter Parker had a chip on his shoulder, but he wasnt this shor-tempered. I sure wished Spider-Man had better writers who actually cared for Peter Parker, and editors that let spider-man grow up. We probably know why Mary Jane has these kids, because Peter Parker is trying to free her, and in the dimension Mary Jane and Paul fall in love and bang each other. Which kinda is a slap in the face for Spidey fans considering the ending for Nick Spencer's run. Of course, I may be wrong and if that happens I will eat my words and admit defeat. only time will tell next month.

To quote the Rock: "It's a piece of dog s#%t." This will probably be my longest answer since Dark Web and Sinister War Now, as a Spidey fan. I want to judge things more fairly and level-headed. I also didnt really look at the spoilers since the single moment I heard that the ASM #26 was leaked, I deactivated my twitter so I wouldn't get spoiled, and whenever someone would say something related to spoiler territory, I would cut them off or scroll quickly. Now, lets talk about the art. The art by John Romita JR is frankly..... bad. I'm sorry, I know I'm not a comic book artist. But JR JR isnt as good as he was when it was the JMS run at all. If this is such an important story, I want to bring in the big guns and good to great artists to treat comic book fans and make them pretty hyped up. The art was so.... bland and uninteresting. Now, lets talk about Kamala Khan. Yes, its cool she sacrificed herself for Mary Jane and she "d*es". But my problem is that Kamala Khan barely plays a role in the series. This death feels hollow because not only is Marvel just reviving her to hype up her own movie, but Kamala Khan BARELY plays a role in the series. out of 26 issues, she only had 12 pages. It comes out of nowhere. it would be more hard-hitting and hard-felt if instead of the filler issues with Black Cat and Spider-Man dating, we could have at least had a couple of issues where Peter and Kamala Khan talk to make this death feel more "earned". The reason why Gwen's death was so impactful was that we actually saw Gwen and Peter interact more. Peter and Kamala not interacting a lot in this run makes this death not that important and I'm just like.... "okay". Sadly, Kamala Khan is my favorite female superhero of all time, so I was a bit more offended and annoyed. Like I said, if you are going to hype her up in her own movie, at least treat her with respect. Dont. fridge her. Now, as Psycamorean points out. Yes, I'm happy we got some character development and closure from the story. The heroes forgive Peter Parker. Paul is not from this universe. The kids get snapped away. Maybe Paul and MJ will have their relationship fractured, and Peter and MJ will get back together and make us eat my words. But you know what my biggest problem in this entire run? Peter f*cking Parker. I cant believe that we had great representation for Peter Parker like PS4 Spider-Man as well as Marvel Spider-Man 2. This could have been a slam dunk for Spider-Man in 2023. But the problem with Spider-Man in the comics is that Peter Parker loses A LOT and doesnt even FIGHT the main villain till the end. Sure, you see Peter fight off Rabbit. But not only is Rayeb boring, but Kamala Khan tricks him. The giant monster gets defeated by Fantastic Four. In the majority of every single story in this run, Peter Parker needs help or loses so someone else has to beat up the villain for him. I understand we dont want stories to be generic and unoriginal. But at least the stories need to be respectful in someway. there has to be some pay-off to at least Peter Parker losing a lot, but it seems that he is treated like a trash bag. I think this issue is even worse or more polarizing than the Bat-Wedding. Like Deathstroke7505, Peter Parker doesnt react to Mary Jane having super powers even this is his first time seeing it happen. Rabbin states that he can see through space and time, but again. He should have known Kamala Khan was there. I honestly dont really "hate" this issue because Peter Parker and MJ are never getting back together. I accepted that. My problem personally is how the art and action dont really look good, Peter Parker does nothing, and Kamala Khan's death not feeling earned So all in all, I was at first angry and pissed off. But now, I am just laughing at Marvel right now. I dont know, I just think its pretty funny how Marvel is super great and awesome in movies and Video games, while DC Comics has Ezra Miller and Amber Heard in films, and their video games need work. But in the comics? It's the complete opposite. I hope that Marvel either gets a better editor or a writer who cares about Spider-Man.

absolutely atrocious and garbage with bad story and

I am probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but I think this ending was just as bad, if not worse than Nick Spencer's Spider-Man run. This run for me feels like watching the atrocious Joker sequel to me where its a big punchline. We think there will be a satisfying conclusion to the Tombstone story, it wasn't. Literally nothing happens, Tombstone doesn't get punished. He literally wins while Spider-Man suffers. The only thing that does improve is Aunt May accepting Peter Parker has to ask for Spider-Man for help, which makes him be in danger. At the end, Aunt May and Peter are close again... but again it was not built up. Chasm is evil again, which makes the Winkler arc uselses, the art is generally ugly, the only thing I like was the Wolverine story. I do not care if Peter Parker and Mary Jane are never getting back together. I think as long as Nick Lowe and the Marvel Editorial are around, it's never going to happen. But there has to be a good and engaging story for this, and it sucks seeing Ultimate Spider-Man and other series get good satisfying character writing but not Main Earth 616 Peter Parker. Overall, for real. I am done with this series. I have gone to accept that this series is not for me, and I am never going to be reading this series again. I only read the last arc just for me to actually critique it fairly to the best of my ability and not be a mindless hater. I felt that this series was bad because Spider-Man loses a lot, inconsistent art, the bad writing/story, and the action leaves to be desired. Even if Joe Kelly will do well in Spider-Man series, I probably wont read it. I hope people have fun and enjoy this series.

Bleh. The rotating writers with their conflicting visions really drag this series down. For a story taht is supposed to have Spider-Man in it, he barely shows up and it's the X-men. Like, this story is literally called THE Death of SPIDER-MAN, and he isn't even the main character in this "event".

art is the only saving grace

whomp whomp whomp. Art is good, but it feels rushed and Peter Parker doesn't have a lot of agency or a big role in this story. It happened with Dark Web, Gang War, and now this. The dialogue doesn't make me engaged and for something thats called Eighth Deaths of Spider-Man, spider-man doesnt die that often. Maybe it's called Eigth deaths instead of Five Deaths because Spiders have 8 legs

the only reason this is not a one is because of Peter Gross' art. I hate Trump, and I am all up for anything criticizing Trump. That being said, this had to many expositional dialogue where Tom King is explaining too mucch on what is happening, and the characters are boring, the neding is sad, and it is a worse clone of Animal Farm from George Orwell. This had no subtly whiel also being boring at all.

As a huge Batman fan, I got to say: This is a load of dog shit right here. I dont know what's going on with chip Zdarsky, but this is not an event that is good at all. I cant believe I'm saying this, but I prefer James Tynion Iv and Joshua wiliamson's batman run more than this. Batman actually trying to brainwash and do mind tricks on Jason Todd is frankly too far. I get the whole Knight Terrors event as well as Zurr En ahh persona making Batman do this, but it still feels wrong. Nightwing saying he sides with Catwoman completely is weird. He's literally my favorite DC Superhero, so this event ruined him. Remember Pre-Flashpoint Batman was against mind control during Identity Crisis when he found out the Justice League was doing a mental lobotomy on Doctor Light? Where the heck is this consistency? How hte heck did Tim Drake start losing to Damian Wayne? he's literally the best bo staff fighter in DC Comics. the Whole Vandal Savage plot-line is frankly boring and not interesting. There's a lot of things that are wrong with this event. Again, I dont hate chip Zdarsky. I think he's a great writer. Great writers often write events or stories that are consistently good, with one small slip up and one event that is "bad". Geoff Johns, Jonathan Hickman, Grant Morrison, Donny Cates, Al Ewing are to name a few. Chip Zdarsky is still one of my favorite writers. But this is not a good event at all. This event is personally worse than Joker War, Fear State, Shadow War. It's honestly on the same level as City of Bane in my opinion. The only good thing is the art, and Jorge Jimenez is sadly wasted on this.

This story has been delayed for 4 months.... for this. The only thing that is frankly good and consistent is Jim Lee's art. This feels like an alternate Batman or All Star Batman and Robin. Why is he blowing things up? Why are the dialogue and internal dialogue so melodramatic, serious, yet boring? Riddler literally said Nygma Time. Personally, what DC should have done is after Chip Zdarsky's run ended, then they should not have done this story at all and just "cancel" batman until Matt Fractio comes along.

tom king is the most overrated comic book writer of all time. I read this series just so I can actually have hte credentials to critique it, and wow. Usually I say critics are right, but I dont know how critics can give this a positive review. All the flashbacks to the past and flashforwards to the future dont matter at all, it all felt like a waste of time. This 12 issue series should have been a single one-shot to be honest. The dialogue is clunky and the art is mostly good. overall, dont read this series. This entire series is a 3 out of 10, and thats because of the art.

I dont know whats wrong with Matthew Rosenberg. But maybe because he's not trying at all but this event is a complete mess. The art is bland, the dialogue is corny, and the action is not interesting. Controversial opinion, but this event was a mess. Art was inconsistent, Ben Reilly, Madelyn Pyror get ruined (Madelyn Pyror invaded New York and killed innocent people because she wanted memories. All she needed to do was tell Jean Grey to make a copy of Peter Parker's memory to ben Reilly and all of this will be solved). bland action, Peter Parker loses more than he wins and gets embarrassed and he doesnt do anything. Venom is dumbed down. Ending was embarrassing with Peter Parker just watching while everyone does the work for him. Overall, just a complete mess. this was the beginning of the downfall for Zeb Wells Spidey run. It's debatable on which event was worse. Sinister War or Dark Web. Only reason why this event is not a one out of 10 was because there were some art that looked pretty good.

This issue was pretty lackluster. We didnt even get to see Scarecrow get arrested, and the final issue was really rushed for some reason. All the cliff-hangers happened off-screen. If I were to grade this entire event, it would be a 6 out of 10.

The art is fine but I don't care about the old man, this event was supposed to be how people who are possessed by symbiotes are being ostracized by society. I am fine with that. But this old guy is Lasher, yet I have no connection because the character writing is bad. Carnage absorbs the old guy's memory, and I'm just asking to myself: What is the point of this event?

Re-reading this series, this issue basically solidified my problems with Simon Spurrier's Flash. He likes to introduce high concept meta fiction cosmic horror to The Flash to freshen things up similar to Grant Morrison and Mark Millar. But the dialogue, the wording he uses, these days characters don't talk like normal people who are smart. They talk like higher beings who don't know how humans speak. And it's not the Arc Angles, it's the other characters. Talking in unbroken wave form, fractal foam of all things. Epoch. Convulsions of different multiverses. How time is an ocean, and the boundaries of Force Walls and Light Barriers. There's a reason why when Jeff Lemire tries to introduce high concepts in absolute Flash, it works because even though it seems difficult to understand, it doesn't feel like Jeff Lemire is trying to show how smart he is.

it's a lot of techno babble about Seven Point Star. I think this will be the series I am going to drop out. I'm more excited for Jeff Lemire anyway. Which is a shame that Simon Spurrier's Flash is not for me. Simon Spurrier is saying things in English, but it is still incomprehensible to understand because he's trying to sound smart. His dialogue for the dog is more unbearable than Tom King.

The art looked a lot better, and granted we know how this new world happened. Here's the thing, the pacing is sluggish, this is basically introductions to each squadron Supreme, the action is lacking, thanos doesn't appear that much, the dialogue is weird. We should have had an entire series of introducing the squadron Supreme and then we had a crossover

People who complain about DC Comics having too many dialogue obviously havent read Marvel Comics. This issue has so much dialogue that I felt that I would be reading a novel. IT's not just the amount of dialogue, its how boring the characters feel. I wouldnt even be this annoyed too, but the art here is lacking and cartoony compared to DC Pride. Seriously, the art here has no effort. If you want to make LGBTQ happy, at least provide solid art that at least has effort to it.

The art is inconsistent, and I think that there are too many characters for me to care about. While I don't mind things having to end, and if this was marvel's original plan, then so be it. But it's a shame that they ended on a flat note, and like Afre said, I don't see how this will wrap up in a satisfying way.

You know, my favorite superhero of all time is Spider-Man, but something is wrong when I'm more excited for Batman and Superman than Spider-Man. The artstyle is god awful, the pacing is sluggish, Jesus Christ. But hey, at least I have Immortal Hulk, Black Widow and Chip Zdarsky's Daredevil run.

its not a one out of 10, but its bad in my opinion. Peter Parker is acting a bit irrational and this could have been solved with Peter telling Reed Richards the truth and this would be sorted out. The plot is dragging on and on (even worse than apparently Dark Crisis), and a lot of people are pissed off about Mary Jane banging Paul, and while I do see that happening if Mary Jane thought she was not going to be rescued for a while (this reminds me of Mark Grayson and Eve in Invincible when Mark Grayson was in a time skip), there are other stuff that dont stand out to me. The art, the dialogue, its just not good for me.

I recently had a personal tragedy which Is why I didnt read the recent spidey issue and other issues. Well, I read this issue today, and it did improve my mood a bit because it made me laugh because of how funny Marvel is treating Spidey like garbage. I dont mind spidey losing a bunch, but it happens way too much and there isnt a satisfying pay-off. Sucks that now I'm a Batman fanboy right now. This run is the first time I'm pulling the plug for keeping up. I am probably not holding my breath on this. Which is a shame. Because Peter Parker got me through high school and middle school. I really did enjoy Spider-Man a lot. Maybe I should have came in this series with a different angle, like seeing it as a comedy or joke or something. That way I wont get dissapointed by Dark Web and the other stories from Zeb wells. Oh well. If you guys want good Spider-Man comics, try reading the recent Dan Slott run. Or Miles Morales. At this point, if Marvel is treating Spidey like this, then he should just straight up die to put him out of his misery. Or get better writers like Jonathan Hickman to work on him. Sure, there are going to be annoying and toxic Spidey fans. But it's better than whatever this is. I'm not expecting Peter Parker to be with Mary Jane again. I just want good stories. But I know I probably wont get those anytime soon. Also, Ed McGuniess art doesnt work for me, sorry. It's subjective though.

Very anti-climatic as well. The art here is also bland and not interesting. John Romita Jr art doesnt stand out anymore, its too clean for my taste. This event was basically people talking, then rushing into an ending. Overall, a lot of people are going to take issues and be pissed off about my reviews and think I'm "toxic" and "uneducated". And its totally fine if people like this event more than me. I'm glad people are enjoying this event. It's just for me, I didnt enjoy this event. I'm glad I took a break from Zeb Wells Spider-Man, and I'm not going to be reading Zeb Wells Spidey run anymore. This run is not for me, I'm not going to be reading this event if it somehow devolves into me hate-reading this event, and I dont want to be toxic. Overall, this event had bland art, action, dialogue, a wonky pacing, and Spider-Man really doesnt get much to do here, and when it comes to the climax of the story, it fell flat.

I am going to be honest, I actually had some high hopes for this event. Batman usually has good comic book events, and unpopular opinion: I really liked Joker War, Fear State, and Shadow War. I think its cool that Batman had his own trilogy of good comic book events. This is going to be a long answer. This event however.... well lets just say the event started off on the wrong foot. Now, I am going to say that I'm not a corporate boot licker, or that I'm not one of those political people. I am a moderate Democrat, but I really dont care if you are going to put in politics in comic books. Just focus on writing a good story, then politics next. First: The Art. I dont know what is going on, maybe Jorge Jiminez is taking a break. But the art here is not good at all. It's bland, mediocre, this is a comic book event, I expected better art at least. I do not like Nico Leon and Mike Hawthorne's art, and I am pretty sad and dissapointed that Jorge Jiminez isnt the one drawing everything. At least with Fear State and joker War, Jorge Jiminez was carrying that story. And howard Porter carried Shadow War. Chip Zdarsky's Batman is good, he always finds a good Batman voice. But lets address the elephant in the room: Catwoman. I am not a fan of Catwoman, I never really found her books to be that interesting. That being said: She got ruined by Tini Howard in my opinion. At least with Tom King's Catwoman, even though she was super powerful, she was still likable. But this event completely ruins her. I do not like Tom King's Batman run, but there were some good and solid character moments in that run that should not have been retconned. Why is Catwoman so mean in this run? She's rude, condescending, and harsh. The fact that Catwoman blames Batman for their marriage saying Bruce Wayne was so focused on the mission and Gotham needed Batman while Catwoman was the one who RAN OUT on their wedding is insane. The second thing is that Catwoman plan for reducing crime is to steal from the rich and give to charity. I do agree that most of the time, the rich dont do anything and waste money while hardworking people struggle and have nothing at all. Just look at the WGA Strikes. However, what if the rich get scared of the robberies and leave? What if they send out armored bodyguards to protect their money? Catwoman's idea of turning petty robbers into robbers who steal from the rich isnt reducing crime at all. It's literally the same thing. A lot of people are complaining about the Riddler being the bad guy, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. There's a lot of things wrong with this issue to start it off. The Bat-family considering Catwoman's idea. I will however give them the benefit of the doubt, as only Red Hood openly agrees on them. But it still leaves a bad taste on my mouth. Overall, I didnt like this issue. However, what saved this issue from being 1 out of 10, is that Chip Zdarsky's writing for Batman is still strong and Batman isnt written out of character. So this issue tempered my expectations for this event, and I dont expect it to be good. I may be a DC Comic fan, who doesnt really like Marvel. But I am not one of those people who blindly follows DC and trashes the other company. I just want good comic book stories, regardless if you're from DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, and Boom Studios. Again, I want to say this. I don't HATE this issue because it's "political" or it criticizes the rich. I dont like this issue because Catwoman gets butchered, the art isnt good. And so far, this doesnt look like to be a good story. Or I could be wrong. Who knows.

This is probably my least favorite event of the year hands down. this shows that every great or skilled comic book writer can have some bad days, and this is no exception for Chip Zdarsky. First off, the art is horrendous. Every time there's a comic book event, I always expect good if not great art. I get that Jorge Jimenez wanted to work on Chip Zdarsky's Batman run exclusively, but I would much rather have the big guns on the event, and have hte long running series have some dip in art quality. Story was bland and forgettable, Action was bland, even if Batman was controlled by Zurr En Ahh, the way he treated Jason Todd was honestly crossing the line. Catwoman by Tina Howard was bland, Vandal Savage and Sandal Savage were forgettable, everything about this event was just a mess. He talks about Arc Angles, the quantum perceptions of the 4th dimension's imperceivable ending of the future, the timepoints, fake causality, dimensional weavers, tame cosmic spider, time quakes, dimensional breakages, extra temporal, conscious hyperogemetries, where infinity overlaps zero. I commend Simon Spurrier for again taking a big risk and introducing quantum mechanics in a comic book about a guy running fast, but it seems that Simon Spurrier is trying to show off that he's smart. He's one of the writers that doesnt gel with me, and I'm probably in the minority but I didnt enjoy this series. Probably going to drop this series and wait for it to either finish or a new writer comes in.

The only reason why I'm not giving this a one out of 10 is because of Justice League Dark. Brian Michael Bendis works with street level heroes and not godly heroes. Also, its weird how he's turning the Justice League into Avengers. This is like Josstice League all over again, but at least it isnt cringey. But the art and dialogue is honestly too much.

Yikes.... the art was pretty bland and the anthology series just didn't make me like the new Native American characters.

See here's the thing. I am totally fine with crossovers that are supposed to be harmless except this crossover was supposed to be about heroes interacting with individuals having the infinity stones. But nearly half of this crossover is filler. In fact, for the majority of the issue Miles Morales doesnt even interact with an individual that has an Infinity Stone. And I would like this issue except I don't have a connection to amulet and miles morales friendship. They meet up, talk about exposition, defeat the enemy by destroying a statue and hitting the enemy in one punch and leave even though Miles Morales has his venom blast. The villain wasnt even that interesting. Why the hell did the villain commit suicide for no reason? Seriously the villain commits suicide because his pet died. If you think its cool, then its fine. But in my opinion, thats kind of lame. I am sorry but I just don't feel a connection or cared for these characters because they have expositional dialogue amd the art and action are lacking. For me shazam and Dane have better chemistry because they actually talk like real ppl. Miles Morales and Amulet dont really have good chemistry. Legit if the only interesting part about the event is the backup stories. If the backup stories was just the event then this event would get am 8 out of 10. If u like this event then it's totally cool. For me I would advise not reading this event because it has lackluster art and action and bland dialogue. Read marvel dark ages and x men Inferno if u have time

Just caught up to the Final Krakoan X-Men story. Maybe because I'm a stupid idiot, but the pacing is all over the place and this made no sense whatsoever. the dialogue and pacing does not work for me here, and the characters arent interesting.

If there's one thing to summarize this event. It felt rushed. The ending was bland with Jean grey becoming Phoenix force to one-shot enigma and nimrod. Xavier and Moira were written not as well. The art was bland. Overall I wished hickman finished his vision. Because this is game of thrones season 8 of comic book stories. The fact that u has to pay extra for x men forever to get the full story is kinda sad. The dialogue was confusing for me due to the quantum dimensional cosmic dialogue. Overall as a person who hopped on the krakoan train this year I wanted this story to end on a high note.

One minute we see spider man fighting the villains, then in the middle of a climatic scene we see a long flashback. The pacing is all over the place. this story had great promise, but the clunky dialogue, the art, the bland characters, and the ending where it devolved into cosmic time chaos brings this issue down. I was really expecting Miles to make an appearance. This was Hickman's first miss in my opinion.

The problem with this run is that there's no coherent flow or structure in the story. Wonder Woman was in prison, yet she somehow escapes and is on a beach. How did this happen? Well we dont know, it happened off-screen. Cheetah comes up, and the only reason this isnt lower is because this is Daniel Sampere's best work (even better than Dark Crisis), and I really do like the back up story.

I might not be a wonder woman fan, but I dont think she would spend a year moping around being depressed. But hey, at least we know how Trinity was born

honestly one of the worst "events" or story that has happened this year. Why is this called the Trial of Magneto when he's barely the main focal point? This should be the "Mystery of Scarlet Witch"

So basically this is a story that has the word magneto in it but he doesn't appear. But wait it turns out that a weak mutant name toad killed wanda. But wait it turns out magneto already knew who killed wanda beforehand. Holy Buddha this was convoluted as hell

whomp whomp whomp. And just like that, another run ends. The art may be nice at the end, but I really was not a fan on how Spider-Man was treated like a side character. The pacing and story was dragged out too much, the X-Men took the story over, and the villains as well as dialogue weren't engaging or interesting. For real, this is my definitive end on the main Amazing Spider-Man run. I have come to accept that my interpretations and view on how I want Spider-Man to be are different from Marvel. I don't mind Peter not being with Mary Jane, but he needs to evolve or grow as a character. I don't mind Peter Parker stuck in limbo not being married, but at least make him interesting or likable with solid writing. Overall, after Nick Spencer, Zeb Wells, and this story arc. Just don't feel like reading Amazing Spider-Man forever. Oh well, I got Hickman's ultimate spider-man

I understand Nick Spencer wanting to use the Clairvoyant to bring it back, but at least have a better plot. Cant wait for this to be over so Sinister War can start. After Last Remains, its like Nick Spencer lost all of his creative juices.

Okay so In this issue.... almost nothing happens except mephisti revealing Norman osborn may have made a deal with him to get rich in exchange for Harry osborn life being ruined. The art is inconsistent, this issue is supposed to take place before sinister war #2, and I just realized: we literally have one more issue to wrap all the remaining plot threads like how did Harry osborn became kindred, dr strange conversation, and the Mary Jane and carlie Cooper plot as well as all of spider man enemies beating up Peter Parker. Nick spencer is gonna need a hail Mary if this event is gonna be good

in all complete brutal honesty, its not bad. but its not good either. This comic book is just plain old okay. art was inconsistent, and I do like how we see Mary Jane and Paul grow closer together. Kaare Andrews is a great artist, I wish that person was doing the run. I get why Peter Parker is lashing out, but it still doesnt change the fact that Fantastic Four was the one acting out of character to Peter Parker in the first place. It's honestly very sad that I'm only excited for this book not because of Spider-Man and the "writing" but because it's funny seeing the huge backlash the fans have. This isnt how you should market or write a comic run. You should make people anticipate the next issue because of the good story. Not because the fans will get pissed.

Art is the only thing that is saving this issue in my opinion.

this issue is literally the definition of a side quest. I was just re-reading Zero Year, and I wish Chip Zdarsky didnt have to tie this into Zero Year. What made Zero Year interesting was that we didnt know what happened to the Red Hood that Batman confronted during Ace Criminals. It was a mystery and up to air, and we can speculate it. Well now we know, and it's underwhelming.

Steve Foxe was clearly trying to improve Ben here and I think he succeeded in making it clear we are not getting any more mine control shenanigans but I think it should have ended with Ben and Kaine beating up the monsters together.

The final story of the Krakoan Era of Hickman's X-Men series is slowly turning into Game of Thrones Season 8, Star Wars the Last Jedi, and Josstice League where someone else tries finish Hickman's end goal. I may not be a fan of Hickman, but at least I would like to hear it from his own terms. Nimrod and Xavier's resolution is literally in a data page, which is disappointing, and Xavier is acting a bit irrational.

probably controversial opinion but I wasnt a fan of this one. It seemed like Simon Spurrier is putting on a lot of complex scientific words to seem smart, and I get how comics really arent for kids and can be geared for adults. But it's overwhelming and makes me not understand whats going on. The story is a bit complex and turns off a lot of fans for reading this. I probably wont read this weekly and wait for the entire run to finish just to get my full thoughts. And the art is overwhelming a bit too

Overall, Simon Spurrier's Flash is just confusing. This is the confusing, disjointed run I have read in a Flash run. Compare to Mark Waid, Geoff Johns, Joshua Williamson, and Jeremy Adams this lacks focus. Simon Spurrier is a writer that I'm hard to get behind because he likes to get all dense and crazy. I can tell that Simon Spurrier wanted to make a Flash version of Immortal Hulk where he goes all out bat-shiz crazy, but after the fan and critic response you can tell that Simon Spurrier had to be more family friendly and his heart wasn't in it. I appreciate Simon Spurrier for taking risks and not having Wally West be stagnant. But the problem was that the writing, the dialogue, the art was not consistent, the story just felt dry and rambling. It feels that Simon Spurrier is writing the story he wants to write..... but it doesn't work with Wally west. The heavy mathematical and scientific concepts he's weaving in just do not work. Don't really make sense, don't contribute to the story, and are just a hassle to read. Honestly, the only thing about this run that I like is *hot take The new suit. So overall, not horrible. But forgettable.

The exposition is very heavy yet sterile and not engaging, Aiko and Wynd are not interesting, and the pacing as well as the story doesnt go anywhere for me. I think what makes this series strange for me personally is how the plot isn't that focused and it is a bit confusing. Immortal Thor seems to be a deconstruction or talking about how big corporations like Marvel, DC, Image, etc dictate what the story is and how it should go instead of letting writers do their own thing with some oversight. But the problem is that the dialogue does not work (even in its Shakespearan way), the characters are kind of uninteresting, and I honestly forgot a bit what happened earlier. So it's not a bad series, but it is a disappointment for me, considering on how I eventually grew to appreciate and like Al Ewing's other works besides Immortal Hulk and Venom.

Mother Righteous is very annoying, she doesnt have an engaging personality and good chemistry whatsoever. Also, the art, dialogue and thought boxes dont work for me.

meh, this is honestly hilarious but not really worth getting into. Fight was kinda whacky, considering Storm beating Iron Man. I also really like how Storm says she knows that this is a trick, but she still wants to fight Iron Man, and how Marvel heroes fighting each other is so common that they can just google it lol. But the story could be better. This event is just whatever. Still fun reading other people's thoughts on it.

I was a bit let down by Hickman's first story, considering he's the best modern Marvel writer. I think the only story I thought was decent was the second one with Spider-Man. The third story was just bland, even when I'm reading it backwards.

I only like Christopher Cantwell's story tbh.
